Nevsky Prospekt is the main street of St. Petersburg. It was built in 1710 and has a total length of about 4.5 kilometers. It stretches from the Naval Headquarters on the Neva River to the Alexander Nevsky Monastery. It is the oldest street in St. Petersburg. Nevsky Prospekt can be roughly divided into two parts, bounded by the square in front of the Moscow station, the west side is what people usually call Nevsky Prospekt, and the east side is Nevsky Prospekt which is located in the Alexander Nevsky Monastery. , is often referred to as the Old Nevsky Prospekt.
