Yusen Hikawa Maru is a luxury passenger ship with a gross tonnage of 12,000 tons and a total length of 163.3 meters, built at the Mitsubishi Yokohama Shipyard in 1930 (Showa 5). For 30 consecutive years, it has crossed the Pacific Ocean 254 times, transporting a total of 25,000 passengers, and is known as the "Queen of the Pacific". Since 1961 (Showa 36), the newly decorated dining hall and social room, and the place where Chaplin once stayed are also open for viewing, and have been designated as a city of Yokohama Tangible Cultural Relics Protection Unit.
