Water-friendly city, Aveiro
I ’ve got very good hints about how to utilize water-friendly spaces in a town. That is very similar to Niigata and Otaru (Japan) in its land structure and topography.
I was glad that there weren't many tourists because it would have been less interesting. The boats could be crammed in but the ride and information was interesting.
The boat ride was the main reason we wanted to visit. Many companies offer the rides which run 45 minutes and cost 10€. Each has guide that speaks multiple languages but check before you buy. Great...

Interesting Boat Trip

The walk is a bit boring. Nothing to do with walking through Venice. Small children, however, if they like it.
