A Gentle Stroll
The walls are another legacy of Canterburys history. Take a walk and enjoy the views across the Dane John park, climb up to Simmonds Monument, and other sights Canterbury offers.
Canterbury has so much to see and do. The walls are an interesting thing to look for and walk around. After Canterbury Cathedral you will want to go and see the walls.
Canterbury, like many cities of this era were totally enclosed in a wall for security and protection purposes. Much of this wall has been preserved and is worth checking out.

A great way to enjoy the city
We walked the walls and really enjoyed the views. We went from here to watch Molkky in the park- that was the REAL highlight!

Beautiful, well preserved city walls of Canterbury. Nice area to walk around the perimeter of the city, with some elevation for great views.
