The Yu's Pawn Shop

Including the scenic spots in Qiandeng Ancient Town, Yujia Pawnshop has the reputation of East China's first pawnshop. The entire area of Yu's old residence is still quite large. The facade of the pawnshop is to reproduce the scenes inside and outside the counter, and there are a lot of big and small abacus.

I came to the famous water town of Qiandeng in Jiangnan and bought two joint tickets. The Yu's pawn was the old house of Huishang Yu's in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties. It was the largest complex in the local area. It entered 120 rooms before and after seven, which was called a maze.

Yu's Pawn is located in Qiandeng Ancient Town, and the name is a long-standing pawnshop. In fact, this is an old house with three ins and three outs. The street is a pawn shop business, and the inner house is for the owner to live and treat guests. From the scale of this old house, it can be regarded as a mansion in the local area, and the owner is also a local squire, not rich or expensive.

Ticket-holders have to go in to see the price of the return ticket, the facade is not wide, the inside is quite deep, the front store is back. There is a small abacus museum.

Yu's Pawn · Lisantang, one of the two gardens in Qiandeng Ancient Town, has pavilions and stone halls, it is worth buying tickets for a visit. The other is Gu Yanwu's former residence. The real name is Yitai Pawn, which is originally an old house of Yu's Hui merchants in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty. It is inappropriate for the Heritage Bureau to name it "Yujia Pawnshop", which is only an old house rented, not a pawnshop opened by Yujia.
