It's a huge cemetery, a true necropolis, and some of the graves are real works of art and very elaborate... there's a working crematorium here too

Portugal‘s largest cemetery

I was told by a taxi driver that this cemetery is Portugal’s largest one. And the graves itself have big stones and it reminded me of the Cimetière Père la Chaise in Paris.

Beautiful cemetery and remarkable, very unique tombs. Area of the cemetery is quite big, great place to walk and just enjoy the calmness of the place.
