Dongshuiguan Ruins Park

Dongshuiguan Ruins Park is a small attraction in Nanjing. Tickets are free and very distinctive. The complete Ming Dynasty city wall is retained. The city bricks are also engraved with the names of workers more than 600 years ago, and the sluices more than 1,000 years ago are retained. It can still be used today. There are various green plants in the park. It is full of flowers and is especially worth a visit.

Dongshuiguan Ruins Park is located in the "faucet" of Shili Qinhuai. If you walk east from the Confucius Temple, you will see the sign after passing the Pingjiang Bridge. In fact, Dongshuiguan is a sluice gate. Compared with the lively Confucius Temple scenic spot, it looks very quiet. The calm old elm trees make you feel far from the noise of the market.

Dongshuiguan is located on the west side of Tongjimen Bridge, Longyu Middle Road, Qinhuai District, Nanjing, located in the Qinhuai Scenic Belt of Confucius Temple. It is the entrance of the Qinhuai River into Nanjing City, and the only entrance of the Nanjing City Wall. It is the largest water gate preserved in ancient Nanjing. Dongshuiguan was formerly known as Shangshuimen, which was built during the Yangwu City period, and was expanded on this basis when the Ming City Wall was built in the Ming Dynasty.
