Great little museum
We wanted to visit this museum after watching the movie “Mori, the Artist’s Habitat”. The museum was not big but it showcased Kumagai Morikazu’s works from different periods, some photos as well as a ...
It is a museum of Moriichi Kumagai with a unique style of painting and a unique view of life. From the north exit of Shiinamachi Station on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line, walk on Shiinamachi Sun Road for about 15 minutes and turn left at the Yakult / Sekine Clock Store intersection. From the Yurakucho Line Yo Station Exit 2, if you walk to the elementary school, there is a guide board, and if you follow it, you will arrive in about 10 minutes. On the third floor, an exhibition "From the album of Moriichi Kumagai's family" was held. The permanent exhibition on the first floor is special ...

Original Text
A museum built on the site of Moriichi Kumagai's residence, permanent exhibitions of oil paintings, ink paintings, and books on the 1st and 2nd floors. Replicas were exhibited in the gallery on the 3rd floor. Recognize the goodness of looking at the oil painting after seeing the replica. The number of works is small in a small museum. Shooting is prohibited.

I like to appreciate the works, so I usually go to the art museum often, but it was nice to be able to see interesting works here.
