This is a place to commemorate the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the Battle of Verdun during World War I. There is a large cross in the center of the cemetery, symbolizing faith and hope. The tombstones in the cemetery are arranged neatly, and each tombstone is engraved with the name, rank, and date of sacrifice of the soldiers. It reminds people of the sacrifices and suffering during World War I, while also serving as a call and warning for peace.
A reminder......
An opportunity to remember the past and reflect of the warmongers then and now. Such tragedy; such an opportunity for sombre reflection of events historical and current.
Unforgettable view
