The Seoul Lantern Festival takes place every year from the first Friday to the third weekend of November, lasting approximately three weeks. Various themed lanterns are hung around Cheonggyecheon Stream, and visitors can admire both traditional and modern LED lanterns. Combined with the Gwanghwamun Square Market, the festival offers a wealth of attractions and experiences.

On November 15, the National Museum of Korea opened its first dedicated exhibition room for the Oegyujanggak Uigwe. Located on the second floor of the National Museum of Korea’s permanent exhibition hall, this exhibition room is a space where visitors can only view the Oegyujanggak Uigwe, allowing them to fully experience the Oegyujanggak Uigwe.

Lee Bul is a nationally treasured female artist in Korea. For the past 30 years, she has been inspired by various clues such as science fiction, iconic architecture, and personal experiences, and has been deeply exploring historical myths and folktales and exploring the complexity of human consciousness. This exhibition is co-organized by M+ and Samsung Museum of Art. Covering the artist’s creative activities for over 40 years since the 1980s, this exhibition is the most comprehensive examination of Lee Bul’s work to date. The exhibition is scheduled to open at M+ in the spring of 2026 and will then travel to various exhibition halls around the world.

This is the first solo exhibition in South Korea by this acclaimed American artist. Born in Los Angeles in 1961, Bradford is known for his large-scale abstract paintings. His work draws on everyday materials and tools found in hardware stores and is deeply rooted in his personal experiences in Los Angeles and the sociopolitical narratives of marginalized communities.

Lee Bul is one of the most important contemporary artists to emerge in Asia in recent decades. Her creative narratives are often visionary and imaginative, exploring themes such as utopian modernity, the potential of technology, the limitations of the human body and its intersection with machinery, and the human obsession with perfection. This exhibition, her first solo in South Korea, comprehensively traces the artist's significant creative processes from the late 1990s to the present, bringing together approximately 150 works.
