Since the early 1970s, nothingness and absence have been central concepts in Thoth's art. After completely abandoning painting, he frequently explored the themes of absence and non-existence in his conceptual works; this is reflected in the conceptual works and artist notes exhibited here, such as his blackened reproduction of his "night visit" to the National Gallery in London. He often creates based on "incomplete visual information," thereby stimulating the viewer's imagination.
