We've stayed here several times over the years and always found the hotel well lit outside and warm and welcoming inside. Not now I'm afraid. We arrived on a cold , wet and windy day to find the front door locked. Within minutes I got a call to ask if we were still coming and I pointed out we were parked at the front of the hotel. Very few lights on and when we got to our room it was cold. Apparently the heating doesn't come on until 5 o'clock as ”most guests like to be out during the day”. Not on a day like this in December they don't. And we had a big room. After a visit to a local cafe we returned to find the heating still off. I tried the reception buzzer on three occasions and 'phoned the mobile three times before I got an answer. Heating came on. The smell in the room was reminiscent of football changing rooms in the 1960's - a hint of wintergreen. Room was big, shower room warm and bright and the shower itself efficient. Later we found the TV didn't work , which they changed for us, and we also had a chair with a broken leg. Both caused by the previous occupants apparently. Uncomfortable night as the room never really got warm. Also disturbed by the rattling windows which I fixed by wedging in some cardboard. Breakfast was good and plentiful, but, again , the room wasn't warm. My wife bought an extra fleece to wear in the hotel. The bedroom was only serviced twice during our five days. As it seemed we were the only guests I'd have thought it would be easy to make the beds etc. Somewhat disturbingly there are two signs saying ”It's forbidden to bring in your own food”. Could we phrase that a bit more kindly? What was once a well lit and warm hotel is now dismal. It's not expensive, but there are so many other hotels in this big resort offering very similar prices that they need to make some considerable improvements. I wish them well and hope the improvements happen, but at the moment I can see little to recommend it.

A night away courtesy of our friends for a Christmas present. We chose the Rosaire due to its location not far from shops and both beaches. The room was lovely, clean and inviting and well equipped with everything we needed . The bed was extremely comfy and we had a great nights sleep. A view of the Orme from the window was lovely. Breakfast was fantastic with plenty of choice. The host was great, nothing was too much trouble. Off road parking available. We will definitely be returning for a longer stay next time.

We have just come back home after a stay with Jill and Andy for a week, the worst bit about that is having to come home, excellent hosts, very friendly, the breakfast is excellent, Andy is an ex chef, the sausages are without doubt the very best I have tasted on a cooked brekkie, all of it cooked to perfection, a great start to the day. Our bed was very comfy, so much so it has made us think about replacing our own mattress, the guest house is very clean, if you have high standards then this is the place to be. It's only about 10 mins walk from the center of Conwy, which in itself is a great central base for many activities. There is quite a steep path way with steps up to the guest house from the front so you will be fit by the end of your holiday, you can get to the guest house from the car park at the back but be mindful if your car has a low profile, the driveway is quite steep, there is however parking out the front for about three small cars or two large. We will be visiting Conwy again as there are plenty of activities, check out Aber Falls. Beaumaris castle, Rhosneigr, last two at Anglesey but only about an hour or less in the car. If you like pizza, Check out Johnny Doughs woodfired pizza, you will be best booking the day before they get busy. We look forward to staying with Jill and Andy again when we visit... We've just stayed 2 nights. The hosts Joel and Tracey were lovely.. Nothing is too much. Warm welcome awaited. Room was lovely and clean and had lovely little additions.. Toiletries.. Tissues.. Biscuits.. Tea. And coffee and even ear buds.. :) Breakfasts were scrummy.. Best breaky ever!! 5 min walk to train station and beach.. and good location to get the train to Conwy and llandudno. Church bells from Church opposite are regular, if your a very light sleeper.. But also it was quaint and adds to the charm of the place.... Would definately stay here again...... Thanks Tracey and Joel for a great relaxing and welcoming time at your B&B. Xx

on arrival Diane gave us a very warm welcome the place is spotless thought the rooms was very comfortable like wise was the bed, the breakfast minuet is extensive. it includes a vegetarian breackfast the breakfast was beautifully cooked and well presented with as many condiments as you could ever want, Diane is so accommodating nothing is to much trouble for her she tells you ta ask. it is a short walk into the town centre where you will find everything you would ever want, the promenade is about a 15 min walk, we had a great stay and would recommend anyone to stay with them
