The WiFi connection was quite poor, not sure if it’s because we were at a corner room, but everything else was great, very clean and spacious room, will definitely consider again upon our next visit to the Lake District

I was so surprised to book such a great hotel! My son, who studies in the UK, said this would be considered a luxury hotel there. It has its own private entrance and a very spacious bathroom. The Lake District gets quite cold in the evenings during summer, but the heating worked perfectly. You can see sheep on the hillside right outside, and it's not a far walk to the town. Sitting in the courtyard, you can enjoy the scenery. The owner is really nice and responds very promptly when you need something. The instructions provided via WeChat were very detailed. A truly satisfying stay!

A highly recommended hotel. Thanks to the host and hostess for their warm reception. The breakfast was great. The homemade cakes were unforgettable. Room: Bedroom suite on the second floor. The room is small, very cozy, and has a great view outside the window. Cleaning and replenishment of consumables are done every day, but slippers and other supplies are not provided. The water in the shower room in the room is not very hot, which I hope to improve. Location: It takes more than 10 minutes to walk from the station, up and down the slope. It is about 10 minutes away from the main bus in the Lake District. It is also about 10 minutes away from the center of Windermere. The location is very quiet and quite good. Breakfast: Very delicious, standard English breakfast, providing yogurt, juice, coffee, bread, full English breakfast, and various homemade cakes and pies. This is the most recommended place in this store, and I like the craftsmanship of the host and hostess.

The host was incredibly friendly and helpful! He recommended many great places to visit in Windermere and even helped us call a taxi when we were leaving. We really enjoyed our stay here, and we would definitely choose this place again if we come back to Windermere!

Although the location of the hotel is not close to the lake, it is between the town of Windermere and Bowness. It is basically a 10-15 minute walk to the lake to take a boat. The World of Peter Rabbit is the closest. The room is large and clean, and the bathroom is the largest among the hotels booked in the seven cities on this trip to the UK. The room is very warmly decorated, the cabinets are very large, and there are many hangers suitable for storing a lot of clothes. The boss's father is from Hong Kong. He chats with us every morning and recommends our travel routes. He is very enthusiastic. The breakfast is also very rich, and the price is very reasonable during the peak summer season.

Rum Doodle, well it was our first time at The Lakes and it certainly won't be our last! The location was just right with being part way between Windermere town and Bowness and was walkable to both. There were plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in walking distance as well as lake Windermere itself. We found Rum Doodle with ease and was greeted at the door with a smile and friendly man (the owner but didn't catch his name). We were bought a fresh glass of apple and orange juice to our room which was refreshing after a long drive to Windermere. Our room was comfy, not too big or too small, a wardrobe, seating in the bay window, hairdryer, hot drink making facilities, wine glasses with cork screw and bottle opener. Very modern, clean and well presented bathroom with soft and fluffy towels, and a really nice shower. The bed was very comfortable and welcomed after a busy day exploring the surrounding area. Breakfast was really good with cereal, fresh fruit and yogurt, toast, and then a choice of breakfast which were great too. We had a pleasant and informative chat at breakfast with the lady that works there who gave us the heads up on some driving routes to try and avoid which was really useful. After a day out exploring we went back to Rum Doodle to a cleaned room and freshly made bed with the tea and coffee replenished, so we were able to just drop and the bed with a nice cuppa and biscuit. Then out for a walk, some lovely food and a couple of drinks. We couldn't recommend The Lakes and Rum Doodle enough! Well worth every penny

AAnonymous UserWe booked the Superior Double Room and I felt it was well worth the extra for the gorgeous view we had from 2 large windows - whether the skies were sunny or cloudy. The location was excellent - within 5 to 10mins walk to the town and to Derwent Water and parking was well explained and ample. On entering Fellpack House, it was pleasant, well cared for and inviting. Our room on the top floor (stairs all the way up) was straight out of a home & decor magazine. The amenities, furnishing, towels and beverages were quality stuff and we saw that they also used locally sourced soaps and beverages. Housekeeping was daily and I loved that the gave us delicious chewy chocolate chip cookies each day! The breakfast was fresh & flavourful. That they started off as a restaurant (that operates across the road and is highly rated) carries through in their breakfast - I ate so much and it was worth every calorie! Best of all were the staff. We met many over the course of our stay and every one of them were warm, chatty, highly customer-oriented and witty! Can you tell how much I loved our stay there 😀

Rrockylee1. The location of the hotel is very good. It takes only 10 minutes to walk to the cruise ship terminal. There are many restaurants nearby and the accommodation is very convenient. The room is large and there is a living room, unexpected, but the living room side is on the bedside, next to the street, sooner or later, some noisy, especially the UK speed is generally faster, pay attention to it. Breakfast is prepared in advance bread yogurt cereal milk, some in the refrigerator, some in the locker, do not have too much expectations. 2. If you come by car, you will need a parking card with the front desk, which costs £3 a day. There are unlimited parking. There are several places to park. It is actually very convenient. When you leave, you can go to the parking lot to drive first, and put the key and parking card at the front desk when you come back.

GGuest UserThe room was very nice, with swan bath towels. The environment was nice, between two towns, with the bus station just outside. The shop was run by a couple, the breakfast was delicious and the quantity was large, so make reservations in advance. A good stay experience.

SSimon & Kathleen ArmstrongWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stafford Guest House. The property is beautiful, set within peaceful surroundings and complemented by a lovely garden. We stayed in the four-poster bedroom, which was spacious, tastefully decorated, and perfectly balanced comfort with a touch of luxury. It also offered delightful views overlooking the garden. Our hosts were exceptionally welcoming and friendly, providing engaging conversation as well as helpful local recommendations. Everything was clearly explained upon arrival, making the entire experience smooth and effortless from the very beginning. Breakfast was both delicious and generous in portion. Additionally, there is a charming village pub just a short walk away — The Boot & Shoe Inn — which added to the experience. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

LLIZHU1. The parking lot is free and there is ample parking space, suitable for self-driving. 2. The hotel has a large lawn in front of the hotel, which is suitable for families and children. 3. The hotel is within walking distance from the Lake District pier. 4. The room is small, even if we booked the largest room, it was crowded for two people.

GGuest UserThe hotel I was originally booked in had a flood so at the last minute I had to find another one, I found  Arkale lodge and it didn’t disappoint, the rooms are pretty basic, but extremely clean which  in my book is more important than a fancy room. And certainly good enough for the price I paid, the gentleman that showed me around was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was from 7 which was perfect for my continuation of my Hadrians wall walk. The Breakfast was included in the room price and was exceptional (full English, which I easily adapted as a non meat eater)  It was plentiful, delicious and freshly made. And a great start to my long tiring day  Thank You so Much  For your kind hospitality  Cathie :)

GGuest UserThe hotel was situated opposite a big car park that had electric charging at fairly reasonable rates. The hotel itself is Victorian and it retains all of its beautiful features with my room still having the old coal fireplace clearly decorative but a greag touch.  The rooms themselves were immaculately clean and the bathroom was modern and the water steaming hot what more do you want! The landlady was really polite, engaging and really helpful.  The breakfast was very tasty I had the vegetation option which I recommend.  Plenty of fresh ground coffee and it was a great start to my day.  I highly recommend this hotel even if it’s for only one day or many more it will suit all that stay there.

AAnonymous UserGreat hotel with a decent location in the middle of the Lake District. You can walk/ cycle to Ambleside which is 5 miles away. Low fells are easy to hike for great views of the area around. The hotel is more like a private house with rooms. We got a small suite with bedroom, bathroom and living room. We could just about see the lake from the living room. The bathroom only has a bath and no shower head which was a difficulty for washing hair. Except for that it was very well organised. Breakfast was at a nearby pub - The Good Sport. It was a limited selection on the menu: full English, breakfast rolls, toast or porridge. You also got a 10% for dinner in the pub too.
