We had a great stay at Ala Moana hotel. Hotel is connected to a very large mall which gives access to many shops and food outlets. The hotel is well located in walking distance to the yacht harbor and even Waikiki beach. Staff is very friendly and all kinds of facilities are available. Breakfast is generally good, but unfortunately the food selection doesn't really change, so if you stay a bit longer it could get a bit boring

We really liked the hotel. It boasted stunning views of the city from the 30th floor. The suite consisted of two rooms and a kitchen with a large refrigerator and stove. It was practically like an apartment. I would happily stay here longer. The hotel offers parking for a fee, but you can park for free on the surrounding streets.
As a gift, we were given shell beads and a card to rent a video from the vending machine downstairs. We didn't use the hotel pool. There was no bottled water available, even upon check-in.
If you're looking for a budget option in Honolulu, I recommend this hotel.

1. The sheets, floors, and bathroom were all very clean.
2. It's a few hundred meters from Waikiki Beach and shopping malls, making transportation very convenient.
3. The facilities are indeed old. Most of the older facilities don't affect the stay, but the curtains might be made of several pieces of fabric pieced together and might not be able to be drawn properly.

Because we cancelled our trip to the Big Island and decided to have an in-depth tour of Oahu instead, we chose to extend our stay. The surrounding environment is really nice. Ala Moana Beach Park and both sides of the canal are suitable for leisure and exercise. We were lucky enough to see a rainbow on the balcony of our hotel room. The No. 20 bus at the door goes directly to the airport. We had a great trip!

I couldn't stay with double booking, but I had a larger room on the beach next door.
Therefore, the cleanliness and equipment evaluation are in the middle.
Double booking is not a compliment, but the response was very good and I was able to enjoy my family vacation.

With the weak yen, high prices, and tipping, eating out can be extremely expensive, but you can buy prepared foods and alcohol at the supermarket just a short walk away and relax in this location.
I brought pasta and bread from home, so
I only ate out once in five days.
I wish check-in was a little smoother.

I stayed in a room with a sunset on the 23rd floor 5.
The harbor and sunset from the room are beautiful.
The number of towels and sheets that were exchanged depending on the day was different, but if you inquire, you can bring them.
It was far from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, but it was very convenient within walking distance to the center. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

GGuest UserIt was a room with a view of the diamond head and the sea.
I was a little worried about the height because I wanted a clear view of the sea, but I was satisfied with the Lanai overlooking the two without any problems.
It is old as a whole, the bathtub is old, and it takes time to get hot water.

MManaSuisseVery nice hotel right on the beach but lots of rocks there therefore have to walk a bit to get to a part of the beach with no rocks. Strong waves and currents in winter so not good for young kids or beginners swimmers but good for surfing and boogie boarding. You can see turtles swimming near the beach and further afar lots of whales from December to March. Hotel have many swimming pools (and one fun slide) but only like 3ft deep so good for kids but a bit boring for adults. Only one restaurant, it's Duke. And one small shop selling Starbucks coffee. Our unit was on 10th floor in the main building and had a big balcony with a beautiful view on West Maui Mountain. We had a very pleasant stay in this location and would love to come back!

GGuest UserThis is a true outdoorsmen experience. I stayed in the Monkeypod tent. It was very comfortable. I had a very nice Queen bed with plenty of pillows. The tent came with a folding table, iron racks for hanging clothes, a lamp, multi-plug power strip, and WIFI. The porch had one chair and a table, and the nights were very quiet. The property shares a kitchen with on the needed appliances and dishware available as well as a porch with tables and chairs to watch the sunset. There are two showers, one in door with solar heating and one outdoors (still private) with gas heating. The property has a protected gate with code. Overall, a very good experience and I would stay here again.
GGuest UserThe location is OK, the hotel has a shuttle bus to the shopping center, about 7 or 8 minutes drive. But you can't walk, there is no sidewalk on the main road. The service is normal and the facilities are a little backward to be difficult to understand. As a four-star hotel, you don't provide toothpaste or water. You also need to buy it yourself. The convenience store of the hotel is not open 24 hours a day. It would be very troublesome if you did not rent a car. The overall hotel in Maoyi Island is much more expensive than other well-equipped islands such as Oahu Island, and things are not complete. I would suggest that considering renting a home will be more cost-effective.

GGuest UserDuring check-in, the staff mocked my lack of English, laughing and making gestures at other staff members, which I found unpleasant. While all explanations were in English, the departure was in Japanese, so I assumed they understood everything. Upon check-out, I was surprised to see a payment of $1,347.40. After returning home, I called Trip.com and they handled the matter, refunding me $1,030.61. However, they had deducted a $316.79 service charge and other charges that were not included in my travel application. The hotel only sent me a receipt by email, with no apology. The staff member who checked me in and checked me out was the same, so I assumed they knew I didn't speak English before making the payment. It was a shame that my trip was so frustratingly disrupted by the hotel's front desk service.
