SSugelanheimianyangHaving stayed in over ten hostels in Nanjing due to frequent visits, this one stands out for its meticulous attention to detail. Beyond the common concern of noise in hostels, my biggest fear, yet frequent encounter, in all-female hostels is long queues for the bathroom, especially for showering and hair drying. This hostel has brilliantly solved these issues. The washing, toilet, and showering areas are separate from the sleeping quarters. There are ample makeup stations, sinks, toilets, showers, hair dryers, washing machines, and dryers, so you never feel restricted. The common area features flower tea and coffee vending machines, a fridge, and a microwave. Sinks are stocked with paper towels and paper cups. Toilets (both squat and Western-style) always have plenty of toilet paper and even disinfectant. Showers have hooks and shelves, and they even provide clips to remove hair from drains to prevent blockages – a thoughtful touch! The hair-drying area is separate and has time restrictions at night (it also offers combs, hair ties, etc., and I particularly love how the comb's thick handle fits perfectly into a small holder without falling). In short, every aspect is ingenious; the owner has thought of every design and gadget imaginable, and even those I wouldn't have. The place is also very clean and tidy, and guests are generally very considerate. The location, needless to say, is extremely convenient. It's an all-female hostel worth revisiting. [My only minor complaints are that the mattress is a bit firm, and while it's acceptable, many hostels nowadays provide pre-made beds with sheets, duvet covers, and pillowcases, so it would be even better if guests didn't have to put them on themselves.]
