The best stay experience ever! I was pleasantly surprised by the high-quality wood used throughout the room – both the walls and floors were wooden. The decor was simple, unique, and stylish. I also really loved the small courtyard; when the sun was out, I'd lie on the lounge chair outside my room, soaking up the sun and watching the light filter through the leaves. It was a small, enjoyable pastime. I absolutely adored the common areas. I initially chose this hostel primarily for its communal spaces. Since I didn't have many travel plans for this vacation, having such a spacious yet intimate common area was wonderful. I could flip through a book, study a bit, drink some tea, or chat with fellow travelers from all over. Even just watching people come and go felt warm and interesting. The atmosphere really captivated me. In just a few short days, it felt a little like home, like my own little base in this area. The vibe among everyone was great, and I think I'll remember it. It was beautiful and genuine, somewhat aligning with my vision of the world and human co-existence. The brothers and elementary school student I played ping-pong with, the friends from around the world who made dumplings and watched the Spring Festival Gala, the incredibly talented and beautiful young woman with pink bangs, the American guy who was fascinated by Chinese tech companies, my San Francisco friend learning Chinese, the young-at-heart gentleman who transitioned from finance to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the textile designer from around the world studying art… The encounters were brief and wonderful. It was a fleeting glimpse into a corner of the world, a peek into a brushstroke of your life's canvas. I feel happy and honored. I loved the space and the flow of the design. Hope to see you again!

The rooms are all wooden, very quiet, and come with electric blankets. The duvet covers are self-fitted, which is a nice touch for cleanliness. The shared bathrooms have a stable hot water supply, and there's hot drinking water available.

I had such a comfortable stay in the four-person dorm at Backpackers Ten Years Hostel on Chunxi Road in Chengdu this time! The location is truly unbeatable. It's super close to Chunxi Road, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and visiting attractions. Subway and bus stops are also easy to find, which is perfect for anyone wanting to explore all of Chengdu. The four-person dorm was clean and tidy, and the beds were very comfortable. The bedding had a subtle, fresh scent, completely avoiding the usual messy feeling of multi-person dorms. Each bunk had its own curtain and charging port, showing great attention to both privacy and convenience, which I really appreciated. The common areas were also well-maintained, with a lounge and a kitchen. It was lively chatting with friends from all over the world – the atmosphere was fantastic. The staff, both the guys and girls, were incredibly friendly and helpful, answering all my questions and even recommending Chengdu's best food and travel routes. They made me feel very welcome. The value for money is excellent too. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Chengdu!

very nice place. The area is not crowded and very close to the lake. they have one bike to rent for 15 rmb per day, which makes it convenient for solo travellers. Additionally, they have a common kitchen fully equipped that costs 10 rmb to use. It's really nice for making breakfast or coffee. They have coffee filters and pour over equipment if you fancy it. The room is clean, and there are plenty common space to hang out, and there are washing machines on the top floor with soap. Highly recommend this place!

The facilities are quite comprehensive, and it offers great value for money. There's a common area on the second floor where you can meet other travelers, so overall, I was pretty satisfied with my stay. However, during my several-day stay, the staff didn't inform me that I could get a free bottle of water daily. When I asked about it later, after being there for three days, the staff member was reluctant to give me what was rightfully mine—just one bottle of water. That was completely unnecessary and quite a mood killer. Their service awareness definitely needs improvement.

After checking in at the front desk, you can store your luggage and shoes, pick up slippers and your room card, then head to your room. **Facilities:** There's a lounge area, dining area, balcony, and a bar where you can choose to have dinner in the evening. **Accommodation:** The lodging is separated by gender. The women's section has independent washing machines, dryers, garment steamers, and a vanity room. The vanity room even has curling irons and straighteners! Each bed has its own locker that can be opened with your room card. The room also has a full-length mirror. The bed is incredibly comfortable, and the air conditioning keeps it wonderfully cool. There were even candies by the bedside. It truly feels perfect for women – safe, comfortable, and even smells nice! For dinner, you can choose to eat with everyone and play board games; it's quite lively! The cat has good boundaries. If you pet it, it'll play with you, but if you don't touch it, it'll keep its distance 🥰

Let me start with a little incident. My duvet had a strange smell, like it hadn't dried properly or perhaps sweat – I couldn't quite tell, but it wasn't yet at the point of a foul, damp odor. Since I got into bed at 3 AM, I didn't report it immediately. I sniffed around for a long time, and only that one area (the part circled in the picture) had the weird smell; everywhere else was perfectly normal. I didn't notice it upon check-in because the duvet was folded, and the smelly part was on the underside. After sniffing for half an hour, I finally messaged the owner on WeChat. The night shift guy replied instantly and brought new linens. As it was a female dorm, I took it out to change it (I initially wanted to remove the duvet cover on the bed, but the zipper was so good, it made a very loud noise and wasn't the kind that opens easily with a gentle pull. So, I ended up taking it outside to change).😴 The hostel is a bit of a walk from the subway station, but it's not hard to find and quite prominent. As soon as I walked in, someone came to greet me. Since I hadn't booked yet and wanted to see a well-lit bed in person, they immediately showed me a few empty beds. They explained the check-in procedures and location very thoroughly, and even mentioned that the sink in the shower room had hot water, but the one in the toilet didn't. The decor features very beautiful color schemes (if I ever buy a house, I want to use these colors too, hehehehe!). There are also ripple-effect lights. It's quiet, even during the day. Takeout deliveries are placed on a counter by the door. There are clear umbrellas available for rent at the entrance, but I don't know the price, as I didn't ask. The washing machine is a TCL, and the air conditioner and dryer are Xiaomi. There are seven shower rooms. The showerheads are good quality, a creamy yellow color, and the water pressure is excellent. When I showered, it was already 10 PM, and there was no queue. I don't know about earlier. There are many squat toilets in the bathroom, but I think only one Western toilet. The squat toilets are black (a pure black mixed in with a bunch of soft colors). There are three hair dryers (one by the sink in the bathroom). I think they are Laifen (maybe). One is pink, one is blue. The bathroom is white. The fan in the hair dryer room felt broken. When I turned it on, there was no wind from the front, only a little from the side. I suspect the fan blades might be installed backward. The bed was soft, felt like slow-rebound memory foam – I absolutely loved it. The bed frame is made of cement, so there's only a slight sound of the mattress rubbing (the sofa against the wall outside is also cement). The night light button was too loud, so I didn't dare press it and just unplugged it directly (it was loud even when unplugging it. If it were a remote control model, that would be perfect!). I got three mosquito bites on my left leg while playing on my phone in the lobby at night. I asked the front desk, and they said mosquito repellent hadn't arrived yet. If you want to sit in the lobby at night, you might want to bring your own mosquito repellent (I think they should start hanging a screen door at the entrance – the mosquitoes I saw were huge!). Okay, that's pretty much everything I can remember. I'll definitely come back to stay if I have the chance.

Finding this well-designed hostel in a prime location like Chunxi Road feels like striking gold! The rooms are clean, the lobby is spacious, and there's a big terrace. Plus, the prices are incredibly reasonable! They even provide free drinking water, which is a really thoughtful touch. Whether you're in Chengdu for travel, studies, or a convention, staying here is just perfect (I'll definitely be back often! Haha).

XXingzoulvshuiqingshanStaying at the Sunderia Hostel was an amazing experience! It's right next to Wenshu Monastery, so you can walk to the ancient temple, and it's also close to the subway, making it super convenient to get to Chunxi Road and Kuanzhai Alley. There are tons of local eateries nearby, and the staff were really enthusiastic about showing us where to find good food. Our room was cleaned daily, the bedding was soft, and the private bathroom had a great wet/dry separation. Downstairs, the common area offers free coffee during the day and turns into a cozy bar with live music at night. Travelers from all over the world gather there to chat and share their travel stories. It's such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, truly a top choice for accommodation in Chengdu!

QQ.tuDuring my trip to Chengdu, I chose to stay at the Starry Sky Shuttle Hotel (Backpacker Hostel), and I had a fantastic overall experience that left a deep impression on me. For backpackers, a hostel that feels safe, has a clean environment, and a comfortable atmosphere is truly important, and this one perfectly met my expectations. Upon arriving, the first impression of the overall environment was that it was clean and bright, without the usual cluttered or noisy feeling of traditional backpacker hostels. The common areas were very inviting, with spaces for relaxing, chatting, using phones, and planning itineraries. The overall atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, making it easy to socialize with travelers from all over. The front desk staff were exceptionally helpful. Check-in was efficient, and their explanations were patient. They proactively introduced the hostel's facilities and even shared local Chengdu transportation routes, recommended attractions, and nearby food information. This was incredibly thoughtful for first-time visitors to Chengdu or solo travelers, immediately putting one at ease. I was very satisfied with the cleanliness of the accommodation area and the bunk beds. The bedding was clean and tidy, the mattress firmness was just right, and it was very quiet at night, leading to good quality sleep. Each bunk came with a power outlet, reading light, and storage space, which was a thoughtful design, offering both convenience and a degree of privacy – I didn't feel uncomfortable staying there at all. The public restrooms and shower rooms were also kept very clean. Hot water supply was stable and water pressure was good, making them comfortable to use at any time of day, and there were plenty of them, so queuing was rarely an issue – a real bonus for a backpacker hostel. The hostel's location was also very convenient, with complete surrounding amenities including many restaurants, snack stalls, and convenience stores. Getting around and finding food was hassle-free, and it was easy to reach major Chengdu attractions or public transport, making it ideal for backpackers and independent travelers. Overall, the Starry Sky Shuttle Hotel (Backpacker Hostel) excels in cleanliness, service, and the overall living experience. It's a charming, high-value backpacker hostel. Whether you're traveling solo, with companions, or looking to meet new friends, I highly recommend staying here. I will definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Chengdu and will recommend it to my friends.

GGuest UserI stayed at Chengdu XiangPi Inn for one night (April 14–15, 2026) and booked a bed in the 6-person male-only shared room. Overall, it was a solid budget-friendly option, but there are a few things worth noting depending on what you’re looking for. The biggest plus is definitely the price—you get exactly what you pay for, and for a short stay it does the job. The room itself was fairly basic but functional. The bed was decent enough for one night, and the space didn’t feel overly cramped despite having multiple occupants. That said, privacy is minimal, as expected in a shared dorm setup. Cleanliness was okay, though not perfect. The shared bathroom was usable but could have been maintained a bit better, especially during busier hours. If you’re particular about hygiene, this is something to keep in mind. The atmosphere was quiet enough when I stayed, and most guests were respectful, which made it easier to rest. Staff interactions were limited but smooth—check-in and check-out were straightforward without any issues. Overall, Chengdu XiangPi Inn is a practical choice if you’re traveling on a tight budget and just need a place to sleep for a night or two. It’s not luxurious, but it’s functional and reasonably comfortable for short stays.

AAnonymous UserThe emplacement is rather nice, it's in a narrow street that allows for a more peaceful environment. If you want to call taxis though, they won't get in, you will have to walk to the bigger road (very close by) To get to the reception, you will have to climb stairs. If you get a room with shared toilets, just be sure you can handle squat toilets. The walls are rather thin but earplugs are being provided. The shared shower area only has heads that can't be moved from the wall. The shared room has thin mattresses, if you can't handle it, I would recommend a private room instead. If the room is full of luggage, it's possible to put some under the bed.

NNadia D.I enjoyed so much this hostel that i extended my staying. Good position close to the metro (4) station. In the nearby a lot of different possibilities for street food and supermarket (just across the street). Bed comfortable and clean with bed plague and light. No street noise. Numerous toilets and showers with all kind of needs: soap, shampoo, hairdryer and even hand laundry soap. Hot running water. Common spaces are plenty and cozy in the inside and in the beautiful patio on the outside. Top note for all the staff: friendly, gentle, smiley and helpful with sufficient English spoken. I spent a pleasant time here.
