|2.46km from city centerI cannot say enough about the experience we were provided with here at Cornerstone B&B. It is like it's right out of a Hallmark Movie. I do not have one complaint, and we would not have changed anything about our stay. This place is top notch. We stayed in the Philadelphian room and it was perfect for my husband and I. The staff is incredible. They treat you like royalty and make you feel right at home. They are super attentive, and willing to help with anything you need. They give you their phone numbers, so that you can call throughout the night if you need anything, although they stay on property. There were complimentary bottles of water, delicious baked goods, elegant soaps, Qtips, cotton balls, ear plugs, lotions, and more in the bedrooms for us. There were also shampoo/soap/conditioner dispensers in the shower, so no need to pack any of those items! They supplied us with plenty of linens, and comfy robes. There was always an array of fresh baked goods, tea, and coffee in the common area. There was also a microwave and fridge available in a kitchenette area in the common area. Laundry could be washed in community machines at extra cost. There was free wifi, and streaming services available in the rooms. It being and old house it was a bit drafty, but they thought of that too, and provided us with a heater, and already had the room warmed up and ready for us! Breakfast was incredibly delicious! Parking was FREE, and not hard to find at all. We were able to park right in front of the building at no charge, or a driveway spot could have been available to us for just $15 more, which is a STEAL in this city. It was easy to find, and a perfect distance from both the city center, and the stadium. The neighborhood felt safe, and the doors have code entry. There was a perfect little relaxing porch area where we drank tea and ate out cookies. There are also other resting spots in the gated yard. They offer romantic packages with wine, smores, roses, choc strawberries, and more! They really have thought of everything here! I cant say enough about the amazing staff! The home is clean and gorgeous, but the people are what really made our stay. I believe his name is Brian that helped us check in, and in the AM. That boy deserves a raise. He is fantastic. We checked in later than I had planned, because we got caught up in the fun of the city, but when I called, Brian was so sweet. He told us that check in times are usually until 7pm, but to take our time. He wanted us to enjoy the city, and he would make sure he was available for a late check in if needed. We ended up checking in on time, to which he made sure to take into account any dietary restrictions we had, and get our breakfast order in. The environment was nothing short of relaxing, refreshing, and homey. We have stayed at many fancy, expensive hotels when we travel, but will stay here every time we visit the area from now on, and we will refer everyone we know to stay here. The ONLY miniscule th

|0.4km from city centerFriendly staff, clean room... contemporary design in the room, but the bathroom felt a little dated to me. Nicely decorated, but definitely saw clues of where the building and room was on the older side... for example, we had 4 ppl staying in the room, but there was no place to hang used bath towels in the bathroom... so we hung towels in the closet on hangers. Weird right? The hotel was generally nice, but a few quirks kinda got under my skin. First, we did self parking and while there is a garage in the building (convenient) the signage for where to park is vague at best. Eventually we found an employee who told us we could park on the first floor (closest to street) - but in spots marked as ”reserved”... of course this happened after we drove all the way to the bottom of the garage, looking for ”Westin guests park here” signs. Secondly, we were there on a long weekend and wanted to do some sightseeing. It was a healthy 15-20 min walk to the Reading Terminal Market (a comfortable walk around/through City Hall), and we had to drive to Chinatown. On this particular trip to Philly we didn't visit Independence Hall, but that isn't close either. Nice place, but there are definitely more convenient hotels for tourists.

|0.49km from city centerThe hotel is located in the city center, with a good location. You can see the City Hall building when you go out, and the concert hall is opposite. I didn't dare to go out at night, so I just sat in the lobby and watched the hustle and bustle of people. The hygiene of foreign hotels is OK, but the facilities and services are still far behind those of domestic hotels of the same level.

|0.73km from city centerWe normally stay at Airbnbs, but there wasn’t one close to center city that was within our budget or worth our time. So we stayed here and weren’t disappointed. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Our room had a window that faced the wall of an adjacent building, but this was a plus because we’re from a rural area and didn’t have to deal with light pollution or city noise. Plus, it kept the room really dark. The bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of fluffy pillows. Now….cleanliness. The room was really clean and no sign of bedbugs or other insects. There were some stains on the floor and a few cigarette burns, but nothing major. I always bring my black light to check the toilet and shower cleanliness, not to mention the furniture for…bodily fluids. All I can say is that they get an A+ for not leaving the previous guests DNA plastered about.

|9.92km from city centerHave stayed here several times in the last few years prior to an early am flight. Outside the gardens are well kept and very pretty, the outside however does not match the inside! To say this hotel is in need of a thorough cleaning is really an understatement. We had a room on the third floor (as my husband is a smoker) The elevator was out of order, the stairwell was grubby and the door was propped open to the third floor landing. The hallway was in desperate need of carpet cleaning and repainting or a good cleaning! The room was a little dingy and like the rest of the hotel in need of new carpet and a fresh coat of paint. The linens were clean, pillows plump and the bed was comfortable. The shuttle was on time and the driver was friendly. It was a quick 5minute drive to the airport. We left at 5.30am so no breakfast but there was coffee available. Overall for the price not bad but not sure I would stay here again!

|0.58km from city centerThe location is awesome. Easy to get to and from the major attraction in the city. i was there for the Penn Relays and it was a great, easy scenic 1.5 mile walk to and from each day. Got my exercise while seeing the city from on foot. Best of all on my walks this was how i decided where I would eat breakfast and dinner. So I was able to try something different each day. i was a little tempted to try Ruth Chris but I did not :(. The train ride to and from the airport was quick, easy directions to follow and though not the most scenic ride on the train, seeing the steel and stuff looks industrial America. I likes!!
I did try one of the take out Chinese food spots ..oh man.. that was colorful to say the least...Bring Your Own Bag!! What an experience that was.. I guess its a city thing. The room was nice. I got real comfy real fast. The bed was super comfy and the view reminded me of my college days in NY. Just watching cars go by and at night with the lights reflecting off the windows creating various patterns.
My only challenge was the TV... can you believe after all that good stuff my issue was the TV!? Just the hardest thing to navigate. maybe its cause I dont watch enough TV. :).

|7.26km from city centerPlease do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all cost. There is a rodent issue at this place which a serious health and safety violation. There are mice roaming around freely, and management has done nothing to address the issue. As you can see in reviews it has been going on for months. I was promised a refund due to mice being in my room and when I hadn't received the refund after several weeks I contacted Priceline to investigate and the hotel lied and said they didn't say they'd offer one. I'll be sure to contact OSHA and the Philadelphia Department of Public Health. Do yourselves a favor and stay elsewhere.

|2km from city centerWe chose this hotel because it offered breakfast and the others in the area did not. I am so glad we went with Holiday Inn Exprs Penns Landing! There breakfast was hot and wonderful. Best breakfast in a hotel hands down! It was walking distance to most all historical sites. I was worrying because it seemed on the map a bit farther out than other options and I am totally out of shape. I am probably in the heaviest ten percent of the population (morbidly obese). It was a very easy walk for me to Betsy Ross House, Ben Franklin Gravesite, Elfareth Alley, Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Liberty Visitor Center and great local dining. The location, room and breakfast was great. Clean hotel in very safe area. I felt very safe even at night. I will say the interstate noise is incredibly loud at night. If you are a light sleeper go elsewhere. However, we are a family if heavy sleepers and I was the only one who noticed the interstate noise but not enough to keep me awake. Loved this place

|9.92km from city centerThe road in front of the hotel has a main road and a secondary road with a separation belt in the middle. Baidu navigation has always been prompted to sit on the road, the result has been walking on the left main road, eyes can not enter the hotel, have to turn back. The room was clean and the service was good. No coffee pot, no hot water, instant noodles can't be soaked. The left hand of the hotel is not far from the intersection. There is a Chinese-opened restaurant. It is good to pay for food by self-service.

|0.51km from city centerThe hotel is exactly what you would expect - a Hampton Inn in the middle of a large city. Parts of the neighborhood around it are not that great but it is almost adjacent to the convention center and I always felt safe. The hotel staff/security are very visible at all times. What makes this an excellent rating for me is the staff. The staff at this hotel are TOP NOTCH! Every single employee was kind, caring, and engaging. A shout out to Kevin who helped me get receipts together for submitting for business expenses. They even mailed a sweater to me that I left behind. |2.61km from city centerWe’re so glad we found a comfortable and friendly hotel in Philly when visiting our kids who attend a nearby college. Our last stay was fantastic, thanks to hotel manager Nicole and her excellent team, who really made us feel at home. Our room was perfect and it was so nice that they were able to accommodate our request for a certain floor and view. We were even welcomed back with a handwritten note in our room. We are most likely forgetting some of the wonderful team members here, but Montrose, Alesha, Sheyenne, and Daoud were really helpful and very friendly at the front desk and concierge desk. Also great were Jackie, Teresa, and others in the club lounge. Service in the club lounge was excellent, even when things got busy, and the food was good, too, with a number of options to choose from. Between the friendly staff, personal attention, and proximity to both university city and center city, we know we will be back!

|7.43km from city centerI understand that the property had been renovated. The room looked okay, I found dried crusty blood stains on the bedsheets. The room walls are thin, needless to say everyone screaming at each other in the room next door (probably high on **** and alcohol) at 1 am in the morning is my nightly entertainment? Only 2 sets of towels and this new eco-friendly policy means you don't get any new towels unless you ask and then nobody shows up. The toilet paper holder in the bathroom was broken, I had to flush the toilet a couple of times for it to work. The shower is nice and spacious. The cleaning crew must have been understaffed, because there was mold in between the shower tiles. There is no functioning ventilation in the bathroom. The air conditioning, when and if it works, is super loud. Upon arrival it was set to 72, I tried changing it to 68, but it jumped back to 72. TV was working, unlike the remote, some keys were just dead. The room smelled musty. No microwave, the fridge was not cooling either. I thought maybe the ice machine on the 5th floor could cool my water down a little. Come to find out that the ice machine wasn't working and from the looks of it, it never has! Also, the ice machine room looks like World War 2 has left its mark. The ceiling is about to fall down and it's dirty. The hallway has nice carpet but again, the cleaning crew might not be fully staffed and dirty fries were left all over the hallway (5th floor). I see that the hotel has a non-smoking policy. This may apparently only apply to cigarettes. Floor 5 and 12 reek of ********* so badly, it creeps into the rooms and makes a good night sleep close to impossible. It's not a whiff you get from someone who has recently smoked walking by, it comes from the rooms. It is utterly disgusting and Hilton should be ashamed. The staff at the front desk is jaded and rude, I'd be too if I had to deal with what's coming through that hotel. Breakfast doesn't open until 7am which didn't work for us because we came for a business trip and had to leave the hotel by 7am. Also, breakfast is not included in the $700 for 2 nights. Instead you choose from 3 or 4 overpriced omelets from a menu. $40 for 2 mini omelets and a cup of coffee. It didn't taste too bad but that price is not justified. Also, the breakfast room is way too dark. I could barely see the food in front of me. Parking is an insult to be honest. Philly is not a safe city and for $700 for 2 nights I would have expected parking at the hotel or at least covered parking that is being monitored at no extra charge. Instead, you can drive 1500 yards down the road to an open parking lot that will cost you $13 a night ($15 if you use a valet). It is not monitored, no security and any random person can walk in there and wreak havoc. Shameful. Overall, not a Hilton experience, for the price I paid I would have expected service which I didn't get. Never again and I am hoping other Hilton properties aren't so shameful.

|1.86km from city centerWe went to the Philadelphia Marriott Old City. The hotel was renovated and looks really nice. The check-in staff was really friendly and helpful; they seemed to genuinely want us to have a nice stay at their hotel. The room was spacious and we liked that the gym was on the same floor we stayed on (4th floor). The gym was great and I got in a good workout. The equipment was plentiful and there were not a lot of people. The machines gave my body a good and much needed challenge. Parking is not cheap here and probably the highest I have seen. However Marriott does sometimes allow you to book a package where parking is included. We took advantage of that.

I really appreciated the adequate supply of good restaurants and the youthful vibe. Deno at the front desk was professional, personable, affable, knowledgeable and accommodating. I came in earlier than check in time due to a red eye flight that I had taken. He gave me a room that just happened to be cleaned and available. Thanks that allowed me to catch up on a couple hours of sleep which really helped make a difference in my trip👍👍 Breakfast was excellent! I will definitely return and this is from a 13 year former head-waiter at a Ritz Carlton in California who knows what service is about. Great job again for exceeding my expectations!!👍👍👍
