You have access to the entire upper main level of the house, driveway, and two-car garage.

This is a non-shared space listing meeting in that you get an entire area and you do not share any areas with anybody else with the exception of the backyard.

There is a mother-in-law basement apartment which is accessible from the side of the house near the backyard and the basement mother-in-law apartment will be rented separately while you are there but there is no common area shared space inside the house. You may from time to time see guests walk down the driveway to enter the mother-in-law or use the shared backyard!

Please be aware that we do have quiet hours between the hours of 10 PM and 8 AM because the mother-in-law basement apartment guests and you will need to be respectful of one another. Although this house is remodeled and insulated, you may from time to time hear some noises travel through the floors and walls (similar to a hotel). Your host is here to help with any noise issues from the other unit you may encounter. We do not allow parties and we do not allow any additional guests who are not part of your actual reservation.


There is a locked cleaning closet in the garage so at times when the cleaner is cleaning the mother-in-law's unit, they will access the garage. Please be aware that the cleaner will always close the garage and lock it up after finishing the cleaning.


HOUSE RULES -

2) Occupancy limits: We do not allow more than 6 guests in or on the property at any time, this is a hard rule the violation of which will result in the removal of all guests from the property immediately without a refund. 3) This is a self-check-in property: You certify that you are willing and able to follow the instructions that are being provided by VRBO through the house manual or check-in guide. You are aware that we have outside security cameras to monitor guest count and also for the safety and protection of our property. You also agree that you will not contact your VRBO host BEFORE reading the house manual and the entire listing.

4) Fees: There is a $200 per day fee for every day of your booking if it is found that you have been smoking on the property. There is a $50 LATE CHECKOUT FEE if you are there longer than you have been authorized. You further agree to compensate the host/co-host in full for any financial loss that is suffered as a result of breaking the rules set forth.

Welcome to our home in the Liberty Wells neighborhood of Salt Lake City! We’re excited to share our charming mother-in-law apartment with you. Built in 1901, this 124 year old home has all the character and quirks that make old homes so special. Located just 1.25 miles from Liberty Park, you’ll find yourself within walking distance of numerous coffee shops and restaurants.
The space
We share walls, but there are no connecting doors between the two spaces. The soundproofing is relatively good, though you may occasionally hear the pitter-patter of feet. This cozy 1-bed, 1-bath apartment is a perfect haven for resting after a day of adventure.

The mother-in-law apartment is located at the front lower level of our family home. The home has four steps leading to the front door. Plenty of street parking is available in front of the house, and driveway parking or gear storage may be available upon request.

This space is best suited for up to two people, though the sofa has a pull-out bed that may accommodate a child.

Guest dogs may be considered on a case-by-case basis. We have two friendly dogs on the property, but they are kept separate from the front yard.

Many of the furnishings you will find were sourced locally to support local and small businesses. This includes: art from five local artists and a custom outdoor dining table from a local craftsman. This is a private home with a private fenced back yard. Parking includes an attached two-car garage and three driveway parking spots, there is enough space for a trailer as well. All areas are private and designated for your use.

Though we do everything in our power to keep our amenities fully functioning, they can, as most things do, breakdown. We cannot predict when that happens and therefore we are not obligated to refund any money due to non-working amenities (hot tub, fire pit, BBQ grill, etc). If this occurs, we will make every effort to get the problem solved in a timely manner - this may or may not occur during your stay.*

We ask that you report any issues with the hot tub (dirty, cold, etc.) within 30 minutes of your arrival so that if an issue exists, we can work quickly to try and get it resolved.
