Looks great online, but upon arrival front desk help was no help, I requested for a high floor and with a very unwelcome or unfriendly tone she simply said NO. not a problem not the end of the world right? I then open the room and room looks clean with hard wood floors look alike, I open the window and of course view to some old leftovers pipes and construction dirt. No big deal again :/. The big problem is OMG! for two nights i just couldn't sleep without turning and waking up every 3 to 5 minutes. Yes two nights! the bed was not ”comfy” at all the mattres was hard no cushion felt almost like a third world country hotel. This is a very honest review for you to read and for you to think twice before booking. ”Looks good but NOT comfortable. Will never book Hotel Plaza Diana Giadalajara again.

First of all, I loved the location of this hotel. It's right in the historic center and you can walk to so many lovely buildings and museums, and everything you need is right there (shops, pharmacies, restaurants). Upon checking in as a Diamond Hilton member, I was happy to find out they had upgraded me to a room with a nice, spacious balcony with a spectacular view of Guadalajara Cathedral. (See photo) The top-floor restaurant has a similar view as well. The breakfast has a nice, tasty variety. I also enjoyed drinks with a friend at the restaurant on one of the nights. The staff are great and helpful too. Elizabeth really came through for me when I needed to extend my stay a couple nights. Another girl (Anayeri, I think) provided excellent service as well, helping me get my dry cleaning turned in, despite missing the 10am deadline. All in all, it was a lovely stay, and I look forward to staying at this hotel when I return in the future.

The Hotel Olga Cariada is in a very nice house, from the beginning of the 20th century, which maintains its original architectural style and has a charming patio: it was the first good impression that led me to decide to rent a private room for a month. I was very soon in the reality, but the place was clean in the boxes, with a dirty old age. There were some tinting clothing hooks, all sticked so used; the television served though well to well only one channel could be seen; the soap was too small and the bed was completely swallowed on one side. The patio is beautiful, but as nothing protects it from the sun or rain, I had to spend time in common areas that are frankly horrible. The furniture is old (old, not “retro”). The chairs were broken, with the dirty filling out everywhere and the chairs slew. The worst was the cloth that, for days, kept the same sauce and others in the same The manager is a good salesman, but once he gets the money, he is very little attentive (as shows, the aggressive way he has to respond to negative criticisms). Good location but warning: The tile floors are very slippery especially when they slip. The rest of me fell and was badly injured enough to ask for a walker for the rest of our stay. There were 3 mobility on our trip - there were people who were challenged and they all said the same, so be careful. They don't have towels. Pillows don't stay on pillows. AC/heating was very difficult to work. There was a room safe but no one could open to keep my passport. They also changed the door–after the night of the street and half of the group had to take the new key after the day trip. Buffet breakfast was not very good but I did it because it was included in the room rate. As I said, the location is good but I would not recommend this place.

Reservé 5 habitaciones para el velorio de mi padre ya que este hotel está muy cerca de la funeraria Gayosso ya que vendrían familiares de diversas partes del país. En la tarde llegaron los primeros, los atendió una señorita en recepción amablemente, sin embargo al llegar los demás llegó a relevarla un hombre muy grosero, se hizo bolas con los cuartos (puse uno a nombre de cada uno de mis familiares, varios por habitación pero por razones obvias algunos estaban en habitaciones diferentes) me ofrecí a ayudarle a organizar las habitaciones pero me dijo que no me daría los números de las habitaciones hasta que fueran todos con su INE, le expliqué que estaban en la funeraria y dijo que no le importaba, no continuaría el check in hasta que no se presentaran todos con su INE además de alegar que una habitación de las 5 faltaba de pagar (esa reservada a nombre de mi esposa) pero se negó a revisar (si estaba pagada), intentó quitarme una tarjeta que ya me había entregado la señorita del turno vespertino porque mi nombre no coincidía (era el de mi hermana, le mostré los apellidos y el comprobante de reservación de que yo había pagado todas las habitaciones), me dijo que no importaba que yo hubiera pagado y que la reservación estuviera a mi nombre, incluso me amenazó con llamar a la policía!!!en fin... en el momento más difícil de mi vida recibí un trato que ni en el peor hotel de mala muerte te dan. Evítense un mal rato, además la zona es insegura por la noche

We stayed for a week at this hotel. The location is centralized and right next to the Plaza del Sol, a large open air shopping center. First and foremost, the service was outstanding. At all times we felt the staff cared and did what they could to help us enjoy our stay. The breakfast at the Cafe Urbano was outstanding with a wide array of freshly prepared and delicious food. The service at the Cafe Urbano deserves special mention. We tried the French restaurant and enjoyed it; tasty French bistro style food and good wine. The club level service was very good, with two hours of a very fine wine. We were pleased with the upgrade that we received due to IHG diamond status; the room had a living room and a ridiculous bathroom. Not many cons; the pool is underwhelming and there did not seem to be many guests. All and all, we felt the famous IHG hospitality and recommend.

Hotel in the very center. Very convenient. There is a restaurant downstairs, fashionable to eat. But the quality did not tempt us. I was there with my wife on ”executive floor”... The hotel is nice as always (always like... years ago), but feels a bit unclean or old. The room smells funny, like lots of humidity, even after more that 12 hrs of AC and bath air extractor. Personal was really nice, but the mask (all of them were using the same) was so loose that they were almost like not using mask. Cleaning service lady was so nice but lacking of mask. Furniture was ”clean” (in the way that what a daily cleaning can do), but looks like years have passed before any deep cleaning. About cleaning and covid related stories: rooms are poor ventilated !! No windows at all!! So... I think you can get better stay at other hotels around for almost the same price. I'll try hotel at the next corner the next week.

Location is very good. Also the staff was nice. There is a beautiful garden that is good to chill. The place is dirty. Not enough bathroom for the quantity of beds. For me, it seems that no one care about the hostel, maybe too many people with few resposabilities. Also the staff made a lot of noise on the bedroom (the ones who are living there), like they were at their own houses. There is no ”travel people mood”, it seems a place with no owner. I booked a modern single room with a big flat screen TV. I’m a frequent guest 4-5 year. When I arrived the told me the room I booked via Agoda is not available. They put me in a old part of the hotel in stinky, dirty room from the 70ties. I had day and night the noise from big A/C compressor from the neighbor hotel Quinta Real. That was also my view and in front were sitting hundreds Paloma’s and shouting. All was full of poop. The danger is the poop is drying and goes in the air and cause Amebas and other respiratory problems, so I couldn’t open the window. The bathroom was absolutely run down and dirty, bedsheets, towels were falling in parts. On the bathroom had broken tiles, loose water bulbs, toilet and sink no water pressure. I had to take a taxi to a supermarket to buy cleaning products to get my excrements down the toilet, because of the missing water pressure. I complained to the reception, but they denied to change me to a room type I booked and paid for. When I put the A/C on it started stinking even more. I open the mini split and the filter was disgusting dirty, I put it off, because I don’t wanted to breath in the sickness from former guest. For this I paid mor than 100 US per night. If they don’t have the room category you like to book available, the should great you up and not done to a dumpster room!! The breakfast was good, but table clothes also old and falling in parts. See the photos. I have more photos but on this website you just can show 10 photos. I feel fraud.

I can last year with friends and loved QR so much I decided to book a week with my Husband when we came to Guadalajara. Jaime always goes above and beyond to help you with scheduling transportation or any other need. Daniel at the bar is the absolute best! Enrique and Luis were also very helpful to us with our bags and always greeted us as we entered and exited the hotel. The housekeeping staff does a wonderful job keeping your room stocked and cleaned. The food is excellent and you have to experience Brunch as it is a real feast! Maybe I had to do more research on my side, but the room I was assigned did not look at all like the picture. The staff was kind and helpful. On the other hand, the amenities were in bad shape and dirty. The room had no air ventilation and the wall were really thin. I could hear all the noises from the other rooms and the halls, because I was near the common toilets and showers. Probably this is a better choice for people who want to party all night and just sleep a few hours. I think the location is great, but next time I will spend a little bit more for a proper hotel room with a private bathroom.

Staff are very courtesy and friendly. I still have one more night to stay in this sweet boutique hotel. Very modern design and near Historical scenic places. Stayed at hotel for the fourth time and we enjoyed our stay. My wife and I use it as a base to explore the archeological and tourist sites in Jalisco. Some of the staff remembered us especially Luita and Sphie from the breakfast buffet. We intend to return in September.

This hotel has great location in the center of Guadalajara. The rooms are clean, bed very comfortable. The bathroom distribution is really good. The A.C is good. At night in the lobby someone plays the piano with romantic music, which it gives a pleasant atmospheria to the place. They do not offer breakfast but it seems they have business connection with a restaurant (you do not need to go outside the building) where you can order a buffet breakfast very good and very reasonable cost. The only drawback is the building's walls seem to be very thin, you can hear people walking on hallway *do not get a room on first floor. They rates are very good. The housekeeping staff really nice ladies!! The roof is quite nice and a good place to chill out.
