|8.59km from city centerOur experience was very positive at this property. Staff was very friendly and helpful when needed (only for additional towels) The breakfast bar was clean and well supplied, the attendants were there to keep everything replenished when needed. Our room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint (and it's not the hotel's fault) pet owners need to be responsible and pick up waste from their pet. There were multiple piles of poop on the grass right outside the side doors. If you're going to travel with pets CLEAN UP AFTER THEM!!

|1.5km from city centerIf I would give a nonexistent rating and just leave a review I would. We were appalled at the state of the hotel upon arrival. I understand a hotel being renovated but there was exposed carpet padding everywhere, sawdust, and the room numbers were written on masking tape. Upon entering our room we decided to inspect everything thoroughly, and found random black debris on the bed and other surfaces, as well as smears of random substances. The cabinet above the microwave was broken and upon looking above it using a phone camera, we saw what appeared to be a ziplock bag of illegal substances. We changed clothes and immediately left. DO NOT STAY HERE. We went and told the front desk what we encountered and requested a refund, the staff member did not look surprised at all and the only comment he made throughout the process of giving us our refund was mumbling and then saying ”20 minutes” because that was how long it took us to become completely appalled and change clothes to leave.

|2.55km from city centerStayed at this hotel for three days for a family get together, stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath suite. They set-up was perfect for our party of four (two couples). We enjoyed having a shared living room area for socializing and conversation. All of the furniture was comfortable and clean. Everything in the room was in good was in good working order, very comfortable bed and linens, responsive A/C system. Room was cleaned each day (a rare thing in hotels today). Common areas were well maintained and comfortable. Breakfast was nice and well-stocked each morning. Hallways were well maintained, featuring photos of Texas-born celebrities (had fun trying to identify them all.). Staff was always helpful and polite when called upon for any matters. Location was convenient for all of the things we needed to do, a bit further from Downtown Dallas, which you would need a car to travel to downtown Dallas. Used outdoor pool twice, nice and refreshing, and well-maintained, along with the outdoor seating and recreation areas. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again when in the area; I enjoyed staying here.

|1.98km from city centerAlthough we've never been here before, unlocking the door to our studio suite was like coming home! As the door opened smoothly, we were greeted by soft music, a lamp on the desk glowing and a cool breeze which was heavenly after coming in from a stressful drive on a 90+-degree day! Everything was clean and shiny with not a speck of dust anywhere! The kitchenette was fully equipped with everything but food including a toaster. The granite countertops were spotless as was every inch of metal trim in the bathroom with not even one fingerprint to be found! The furnishings included a long sofa (hide-a-bed), rolling desk chair and expansive desk surface which was perfect for playing dominoes, a large tv which swiveled between living area and bedroom and a bed that was like sleeping on a cloud. (Room 106) The hotel staff called 10 minutes after we were in our room to make certain everything was to our expectation. I don't know how our 3 day stay could have been made better because every time we came back to the hotel, it felt like we had come home!

|2.22km from city centerThe gentleman that was working the front desk the Saturday morning during our stay was extremely accommodating and friendly! I wish I would’ve gotten his name. 1 of the female staff (7a-3p shift when we checked in on Friday) was very friendly when I was speaking with her.. the gentleman that I’m guessing is an AGM type that was “checking” cleaned rooms before check-in on Friday never once acknowledged us even when standing in front of us... and the female 2nd shift employee was a typical 2nd shift employee. Busy with everything going on, but nice enough.
The room was well enough clean, except the carpet needed to be vacuumed.
It would’ve been good if the syringe with other trash in the parking lot would have been picked up at some point during our 3 day stay. But for the rate, guess beggars shouldn’t be choosers.

|13.07km from city centerThis hotel was really nice. Great decorations in the lobby and rooms, and I really liked the interesting room layout, with the bed's headboard up against the wall dividing the bedroom and bathroom, and the bed facing out toward the windows. It was definitely different than your standard hotel room! Everything felt modern and stylish. The bed was also really comfortable, the curtains kept the room sufficiently dark, and the shower had good water pressure. I liked that there was a little food pantry area in the lobby where you could buy snacks or cold breakfast (cereal/oatmeal), since the hotel's hot breakfast was not included in the rate. The bar and pool area also looked really nice, though we didn't take advantage of either. It was nice to not have to pay for parking, and we never had any issue with finding a space. The hotel is located right on the freeway so it's not like it is in a scenic location with anything you can walk to, but it is directly across the freeway from The Shops at Legacy, so it is a less than 5-minute drive to all kinds of shopping, restaurants, bars, etc. The only minor thing I could see being an issue for people is that there is no door between the bedroom and sink area (though the sink is behind the wall dividing the bedroom and bathroom) so if one person is up early and the other is still sleeping there could be some sound and light leakage into the bedroom. Also, there is a frosted glass partition separating the shower from the bedroom so that could also let in some light in an otherwise pitch-dark bedroom (you can't see through the glass, so no privacy issues). All in all, if we were to come back to Dallas I would stay here again. The price and location were right for what we needed.

|1.53km from city centerI was in town visiting my mother as I am in the process of moving and we picked this location because it was newer, had good reviews, and had a kitchen making for an extended stay more enjoyable. My mother has mobility issues and we requested a mobility room for my mother when she was staying with me to have ease moving around. Upon check-in, I confirmed it was a mobility-accessible room and was told, ”I see your request for a mobility-accessible room, it says you were assigned one, but if it is not, please let me know” Shouldn't employees know room types and their rate codes in order to assist guests with special needs? The answer should be yes but that isn't always the case. The room was on the 1st floor, also requested, but the room was clearly not mobility-accessible (please see pictures) My elite status with Marriott requires a remedy for not having my GUARANTEED ROOM TYPE. But I did not want to create any issues while staying at the hotel. My mother was kind enough to make the room type work, again not wanting to make issues. But it should be pointed out that key brand standards were missed. Overall, the hotel is great!!! Very well maintained and comfortable, except the requested room type was NOT accommodated.

|2.14km from city centerI give this location and it’s staff a 15/10 on our experience during this visit. I was a little apprehensive after booking this location because of some reviews I read… all I can say is I don’t we stayed at the same hotel (shrugging shoulders). We engaged with day staff & evening staff and both were extremely kind, warm, helpful, etc. They were all very excited to listen to my daughter tell her little stories about her birthday weekend. The breakfast area was busy but clean & well stocked. Their pancake machine also was fully functioning unlike several other Holiday Inn Express locations we have been to recently (my daughter looks forward to those pancakes haha). Also our room was on the first floor facing the highway and we had extremely minimal highway noise. I mention this because others complained about the road noise and not being able to sleep. Also our room and bathroom were well stocked with towels, soaps, etc and everything was very clean. We stayed in a “standard king room”. The bed, pillows and linens were perfect and we all got great sleep on the trip which was necessary as we had an action packed weekend. I wish every Holiday Inn Express we visited was exactly like this one! Your attention to detail was very much appreciated.

|8.65km from city centerWhen checking in, was told about all the things that didn't work or wasn't open. Using key cards at doors didn't work. Didn't hear that and was locked out for 20 minutes until someone let me in. Pool and laundry room was closed. Was told we could use a pool 10 miles away at another hotel. No face towels were available, had to use hand towels until some were available the next day. Some of the hand towels were so worn you could see through the worn areas. Extra pillows didn't have pillow cases, just dust covers. Called the hotel personally to request connecting rooms. When checking in, was told rooms were together but found out they were across from each other. When inquiring why we could not get connecting rooms, was told hotel didn't have double rooms that connected. No one told me that when I called the first time with the request. Had two rooms and the 2nd room toilet wouldn't stop running so family members were moved to another room, but on another floor. Stayed for 4 nights, all key cards had to be rekeyed 1 to 2 times every day because they just quit working. Toilet is a small low toilet, like a daycare child sized toilet. TV only had around 10 channels and those were the major network channels and news channels. Although the rest of the channels showed up in the channel lineup, they didn't play. Remote was slow to react to pushing buttons. If you pushed the up/down button more than 6 times, it hesitated and you had to wait until it caught up. Air conditioner was loud in one room that it drowned out the tv. One room had stains on sheets and family member had to change out the sheets on their own. Granted, we had a very late check in, but the sheets shouldn't have had stains on them. Slow working elevator. Out of all of this, had no complaints against the hotel staff. They were friendly and apologetic.

|8.87km from city centerStayed here for 3 nights for my son's hockey tournament. It's a stay to play tournament, meaning our team hotel is assigned. We had a flight delay due to the Dallas storm/arctic chill, so we did not end up getting to the hotel til past midnight. The guy at the front desk seemed ill prepared to handle a large group of check-ins at that time of night since we had several families on the same flight from Vegas. The front desk clerk initially tried to say that my room was no longer available b/c we were checking in past midnight despite having room confirmation and prepayment. Then he tried to state that the suite I had rebooked and had confirmation was given away. It took about 15 minutes to get this resolved and I know other families who checked in after I did had the same issues. I also have gold elite status as a Marriott Convoy member and was told I could not get my complimentary daily water. Outside of the horrible check in experience, stay way ok. Close to the highway and one of the rinks we played at.

|2.82km from city centerI had maid my reservation for the wrong day so when i showed up to the hotel they could not see i has a reservation or not. But the front desk person michael was able to find my reservation and change it for me so i was able to check in without any problem. I had thought i would be charged for having to change my reservation but michael assured me that i would not be. Im sure most other hotels would have told me im out of luck and to come back when my reservation was for but not here. The hotel was nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable.

|8.73km from city centerI reserved a suite for my mom and me to stay in for 1 night as she was having surgery next door at the heart hospital. I was checked in a timely manner and my room looked like the pictures on the website. It was fairly clean except for all the dog hair on the floor and food crumbs left over from previous guests in multiple places on the carpet! It was clear they skipped the vacuming! I slept on the pull out sofa and I checked upon arrival for sheets and blankets. I didn't see a blanket and called to the front desk the man working there was very irritated that I asked for a blanket. he said I could come get one. So with my room being the farthest from lobby, I made my way down there. No blankets!! I was told and no offer to get me one. When I did verify and asked are u sure? He said he'd go tear up a bed for me and bring it to me! That is when i notified him of the pet hair and food. he was not happy that i asked for housekeeping to come and vacuum! So beware he's a little crabby!! I used the fitness room which needs help! Very minimal! The breakfast was served in the mornig but n o details at chek in when it was hours etc! It was okay . typical hotel breakfast nothing to brag about! All in all it fit our needs for a overnight stay!

|13km from city centerI was highly impressed with this hotel & the staff. Texas Association of Mediators had their 2 day conference last week-end. The food was the best I've ever had at a conference! The staff was attentive, professional and friendly. One server welcomed me to her home & thanked me for choosing this hotel. Many of the staff have been employed for over 20 years! Everyone made us feel ”at home” and that our business was truly welcomed. I highly recommend this hotel. Plus, lots of shopping & eating within walking distance.

|8.6km from city centerFirst of all, we wanted to mention that the staff did everything they could to make our stay better. Unfortunately the owners/management of the hotel didn’t give them enough to work with. While the hotel is basically clean, our room looked pretty beat up and had a lot of problems: (1) lots of dings and dents on doors, cabinets and furniture (see pics); (2) there were bugs and roaches running around; (3) and worst of all, a leak under the kitchen sink that had been going on so long it warped the cabinet under the sink and provided a nasty smell. When we had the hotel maintenance man take a look, he said the drain had never been installed properly so had been leaking obviously for months. We couldn’t believe no one else had noticed this before. We selected this hotel based on a booking site (Agoda) and we put in that we needed a breakfast Buffett. Unfortunately their idea of breakfast is a few muffins wrapped in cellophane along with a few breakfast bars. When we asked, the staff said it was because of “Covid”. That’s interesting because we’ve visited at least 5 other hotels in the last 3 months and they ALL have normal breakfast buffets now - this reeks of a cop out by Extended Stay. As we mentioned the staff did everything they could to overcome the problems and were very courteous. Unfortunately the owner/operator if this property apparently don’t share that same concern. This property needs help !

|6.33km from city centerThe hotel itself is a little dated and run down. There is plenty of parking outside and its right next to a fitness place if you want to work out. It has the generic fitness center with towels and water. The water machine in there wasn't working when I was there. There is a free laundry room. Some of the machines were not working and some were really old and dirty inside from being used to wash something really dirty. The breakfast was pretty generic. I chose not to eat there as it did not appear that appetizing. They stopped the social in the evening. The staff is rarely visible at the front desk - always in the back and come out really slow like you are bothering them from being on social media or waking them up from a nap. The bright spot is that most of the AM people are super nice and very helpful. The housekeeping staff is also great and I highly recommend them. Location wise its less than two minutes from Medical City Plano, right next to a Central Market, right next to Sams Club and Walmart. There are plenty of restaurants with in fifteen minutes of this place.

|10.1km from city centerThe checkin was great with “Monice”, however we had to request bedding for the pullout sofa after getting to the room late at night…I assumed there’d be bedding in the closet, but no dice. The reservation was booked under my spouse’s name “D. Miller”, but I was added as a guest checking in first. The next morning, I booked a points only reservation for 5 days, however before leaving the room to be checked into the points only reservation, I felt bugs crawling on my ankles as I sat working at the dinette table! The critter took a bite, and I jumped up to see if it was a bed bug, however it didn’t appear to be one. After inspecting the room and bed, they were everywhere! We called the front desk, and spoke to “Pharon” who’s response couldn’t have been less empathetic to my concerns. We packed up everything, and checked out! While checking out, “Pharon” explained that she’d “opened a case” with Marriott, through she never explained what that was or why she was “opening a case” on our behalf. She confirmed that she was canceling the 2nd reservation I booked with points, however several days later the room was still checked in, and to date my points haven’t been returned to my Titanium account. I went back to the hotel a couple days later to inquire why, and also to ensure that I wasn’t charged for the first night due to the bug infestation. “Truveda “ was polite, however she stated, “We can’t make any adjustments, management has to do that.” Ok, so I asked for a call, left, and never heard from management at the time of this review. I called a few days ago, and the room was still checked into their system as occupied by us ever though we left the hotel on March 18th! I asked again for management to call, and no response. I called back the next day, spoke with “Lina Yeh”, the AGM who assured me that the situation would be taken care of. She explained that the hotel was giving me 5000 points for my “inconvenience”…I explained that was woefully inadequate and asked for a refund of the first night which I thought was polite than most other guests would’ve been given the circumstances. She indicated that wasn’t possible, but upon doing further research, she discovered that my reservation was still screwed up because she thought I was asking for a refund of 5 nights for which I didn’t even stay at the hotel! She promised a follow-up call to address my request for a refund of the night we “slept with bugs”, because she had to “check with management”, but I thought she WAS management…then it became clear to me…this was a franchised property! They’re notorious for bleeding hotels dry and screwing Marriott’s most loyal guests in the process. Anyway…I’ll be following up with Marriott Customer Care to get assistance in getting this resolved.
