Spacious room and living area. Kitchen is fully equipped with almost all the cooking appliances you need, and there’s a big supermarket within 3mins walk. Very suitable for long stay and people who like a home feeling accommodation.
The whole design and concept of the hotel is delightful, they offer welcome drink for new customers and prepare a city/hotel guide book in room. Can tell the hotel put a lot of effort to make the place more comfortable.
The only issue we had was the water supply in shower, which can be a bit unsteady and boiling hot sometimes.
Fantastic hotel close to tram, metro and train station with easy and fast access to airport and city centre. Hotel is designed as modern and contemporary with bright artwork and garden designed restaurant and swanky cocktail bar.
Highlights- high floor premium room with a a view- stunning view across Amsterdam from every angle. Comfy bed and coffee machine and real milk in the fridge. Very comfy bed and luxurious toiletries.
Breakfast- amazing!! Prosecco or vodka Bloody Mary available too and made to order omelettes in addition to the high quality food on offer- bagel station, yogurts and cakes and desserts and waffle station. Alternative milk oat, almond, soya including in the coffee machine meaning dairy free latte and cappuccino.
Reception- staff friendly and helpful and free sweetie bar and coffee/tea/hot chocolate cart.
Restaurant beautiful design but you need to prebook.
Cons- free drink voucher in exchange for not having room cleaned caused issue as only 1 drink was free meaning others in same room had to pay!
One staff member in restaurant was very abrupt and rude when we bought wine to take to room and was told we Could not buy a glass of wine and reside to our room, had to drink at the bar!
Couldn’t get WiFi to work.
Very satisfied, away from the hustle and bustle of the old city, the room is clean and spacious, it is convenient to walk to the main commercial district, and the environment is good.

My stay at the Avani Museum Quarter Hotel was truly exceptional. The prime location near museums and the tram made exploring effortless, while the local charm of De Pijp added an authentic touch to my experience. The hotel's cleanliness and modern design were impressive, ensuring a comfortable stay. The well-equipped gym, though cozy, provided everything I needed for my workouts. Additionally, the convenience of bike parking right outside was a delightful perk. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend the Avani Museum Quarter Hotel for a trustworthy and positive stay, reflecting the best of what the city has to offer.
There is a peculiar smell in the corridor. The decoration is relatively old. Our room is 915. The trash can in the bathroom is broken and the lid must be opened manually. It feels very dirty. The water from the shower is very small. The front desk service is very good.
I recently stayed at the Van der Valk Hotel Zuidas during a business trip and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. From the moment I checked in, the staff was welcoming and professional, ensuring a smooth start to my stay. The hotel's location in the Zuidas district is perfect for business travelers, with easy access to public transportation and close proximity to a variety of corporate offices.
The hotel facilities are newer and clean. There is a fridge and minibar in the room, as well as a safe. There is a gym and sauna provided by the hotel. The view from the window is very good. The location is relatively remote, five minutes walk to the 62 bus, 10 minutes to the metro station.
The hotel is located in an absolutely noble area of Amsterdam, the National Museum, the Van Gogh Museum, the City Museum...all within easy reach; the big-fashioned pchoft famous street is turning at the hotel...AH supermarket, century-old bakery, net red restaurant seafood Bar, near the city can enjoy the prosperity of the city, but also away from the noisy tourists. The building itself is a masterpiece. The old Royal Postal Bank and the Gloomy Academy have been renewed on the basis of the original. The collision of different building materials forms an interesting contrast. Nature, people and cities are here. I contacted the hotel before the store. I prepared the room at noon. The housekeeping performance was soso, but the front desk was very good. The questions about the city can be received, including the reservation of the restaurant. The size of the room is absolutely wide in the size of the inch, and the size of the bathroom is extravagant. Back at the hotel in the evening, the street is not disturbed by tourists, only the cool windy night wind, and warm yellow lights, like
Last time I did not like the room I got.
When I checked in this time I said I was disappointed with the room a couple of
months ago. Then this time
I received a lovely room on the 2nd floor because I told them I wanted a room as low as possible.
All the staff were very friendly and helpfull.
The situation of the hotel for me is excellent and the best thing they have a garage.
The temperature in the rooms could have been warmer. During summer the air-conditioner could not be shut down.
I stayed here for 8 days this time. The room is larger than many in the city center and has a good sense of space. The small kitchen in the room is very useful. The service staff are friendly and will help solve problems immediately. Especially the lady at breakfast smiled and waved to us through the glass when we left early in the morning. The breakfast selection was better than expected. The location requires you to transfer to the mall bus to the subway station or take Uber, which is still possible. The best place is in a large shopping mall, where everything is available. On cold and windy days, restaurants and supermarkets are right there. If you want to find Chinese food, there is also a Korean supermarket and a Chinese-Vietnamese restaurant. There is a laundry room for washing and drying clothes, which is not cheap, but it is very convenient to have such facilities. The only thing I don't like about the quilt is that it has loose or piled lint, which is weird.
Be aware that this hotel is very popular, so book early.

Outstanding
GGuest UserWe had a magnificent stay at De ware Jacob Hotel with a family of five at the end of 2020. With the Covid restrictions it was not easy to travel around, but nonetheless we decided to spend a weekend in Amsterdam benefitting from the beauty of the city with fewer tourists at this moment in time. This Hotel was recommended to us as a cosy newly renovated boutique hotel at the heart of the Museum District, and the price was really good, so we were not disappointed. Our stay was even more memorable than expected. We were received by the very friendly owner and treated with a glass of Cava. The suites and the family rooms were very nice and spacious, we also benefitted from an upgrade, which was a nice gesture. A nice sushi dinner was delivered from a nearby restaurant and we enjoyed it in the lounge with a nice restaurant ambiance. We were pleasantly shocked to be given the variety of Georgian natural wines tasting by the host, something we never tried before, accompanied by the delicious strawberry covered in chocolate. Fantastic!! Breakfast was nicely presented, had nice selection and we were also offered a glass of Prosecco to start the day, but instead decided to swap it for extra cappuccinos and a homemade cake on the house. The city itself was delightful, being not so crowded as usual. We really enjoyed walking in the nearby park. Also went to The Red Light district which was absolutely empty, something unforgettable and special!!! It was indeed a very pleasant break in beautiful Amsterdam.
XXiaoxuan3490The hotel is in a great location. It takes only 3 minutes to get to the Van Gogh Museum and 5 minutes to get to the National Museum. It takes less than 1 hour to walk to the important attractions in the city. It takes 9 stops to take the 397 bus directly from the airport. It costs 4.03 euros to swipe the credit card directly. It only takes one and a half hours from the plane landing to check in. Several waiters at the hotel front desk were very enthusiastic. After checking out the next day, 4 pieces of luggage were stored. Each piece of luggage was labeled and put in a special room. The waiter also asked us to take pictures so that it would be convenient to pick up the luggage if we couldn't find the stub. There is a large supermarket near the hotel, which is only about 5 minutes' walk, but it doesn't open until 8 o'clock in the morning. Although the room is not very big, it is clean and sanitary. There is an electric kettle and a coffee machine. 4 coffee capsules and tea bags were given.
VViviLeon”Park Plaza is a highly recommended hotel. From the moment we arrived, we experienced exceptional service. The rooms were impeccably clean and spacious, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring. Being conveniently located near TRAM and bus stations made getting around the city a breeze.
We particularly enjoyed dining at the Italian restaurant onsite, where we indulged in delicious meals. Additionally, having complimentary water, coffee, and tea in the room added a thoughtful touch to our stay. Overall, our experience at Park Plaza exceeded our expectations, and we would gladly return for another visit.”
GGuest UserThis is my second stay here after many years. The hotel is in a good location, close to the subway station and there are Chinese restaurants nearby.
The only unpleasant thing was that there was someone else's hair on the pillow, probably because it had not been replaced before. I hope the hotel will take it seriously.
GGuest UserWonderful hotel in a quite area near beautiful and large park. Very helpful, friendly staff, comfortable bed, clean amenities and really creative design. Opportunity to play various video games and board games. In general, amazing sphere!
GGuest UserVery nice and quiet area, 30 minutes walk to the center. Not far from the airport. Everything is great, staff, cleanliness, amenities. There is a coffee machine in the room, you can ask for a kettle. I recommend 100% Attention, the hotel does not accept cash, only cards.
GGuest UserThe Flipper hotel was an ideal location however closer would have saved a tram trip to Downtown Amsterdam. The professionalism competency of all staff was exceptional. The cleanliness was above standard and a big priority for me regarding my stay. The cost was good considering the global cost of living crisis. I would highly recommend Hotel Flipper to any friends, family in Ireland. Much gratitude
GGuest UserThe hotel is close to the Rijksmuseum and only two stops from the Central Station by subway. It is the first time in Europe that a deposit is required upon check-in. The room is arranged on the top floor of the fifth floor. The stairs are narrow and steep, and it is difficult to carry luggage up and down. It is very hot during the day and there is no air conditioning. There is a cool breeze outside the window in the morning and evening, which is manageable. There is not even a chair in the room. The room fee is 700-800 RMB per day. It is not a waste of money to invest in adding necessary facilities.
