Absolutely brilliant ! Booked a single room but got a lovely double with a window. Great online check in/out system. So easy to take the 397 bus from and to the airport to a minutes walk away from hotel and very convenient to walk into downtown attractions whilst being nicely away from the hustle and bustle. Front desk staff lovely, let me leave my bags in locked store room after I checked out while I strolled around town before an evening flight. Would thoroughly recommend for an Amsterdam city break.
Always a pleasure staying at Marriott here in Amsterdam. This is my 10th. Is it in half as many years and it still upholds to the ethos to today. Excellent hotel with large spacious and tidy rooms. The staff are great and always happy and smiling and eager to assist to make stay memorable. Highly recommended for families and kids and friends as well as business trips. A +++++++
The room given to us doesn’t have a window for air ventilation. But overall I like it because the location is very nice. Going to city center is easy. And there are many shops and food places nearby.

It's a 10-minute walk from the Van Gogh Museum and the National Museum, and a 5-minute walk from Vondelpark. There is bus 397 at the entrance of the park, which goes directly to the airport. This station is only one stop away from the departure station, and there were few people when I got on the bus. The room is very large. The twin room has 0.9-meter beds put together and two quilts. The breakfast is average. Turn right and cross the bridge, it seems to be Leidseplein, with many restaurants. Turn left at the exit of the hotel, turn left at the intersection, and you will see a medium-sized supermarket called ah, where you can buy cold dishes, meat, and vegetables. There is also a machine for recycling plastic bottles.
The decoration is very unique, and so is the layout of the hotel (the numbering of rooms is strange). The rooms are very comfortable and the bathrooms spacious. The breakfast was a bit basic but plentiful. The staff were very friendly and full of information. The location was ideal for most things in the city centre, and even a bike ride out of town.
Me and my partner were in Amsterdam for one night and looking for a place for reasonable Price to stay since Amsterdam can be a bit expansive. The room was small but still had good Space as well. For a person that is tall, i didnt feel too cramped. The bed was comfortable and they had complimentary water. The ac/Heater worked fine. It is conviently located 5-30 min walk from every place you want to go in downtown center area. The staff was very welcoming and helpful when we checked in around 9pm. I was really happy with our short stay and if I’m back in Amsterdam, I will use this place to stay.
It was a very clean and up-to-date hotel. I booked a small room and it had everything I needed in it. The staff was friendly and I had a very good rest.
There was just one problem, and the cleaning lady in the morning just opened our door and left it without knocking, so I was very embarrassed... I slept without manually locking it other than the automatic lock... I opened the guest room door carelessly before checking out. I think cleaning staff at hotels need to be trained not to open them. I think this is something the hotel needs to fix.
The room was large and comfortable with lots of light. It is very close to the Museum District, with six or seven art museums including the National Gallery of Art, Municipal Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Van Gogh Museum. You can admire classic and avant-garde artworks. There are also luxury streets around, suitable for shopping. In addition, there is a 397 bus to the airport from the station that is a three-minute walk from the hotel. It costs about 4-5 euros to get to the airport. Living here is convenient and affordable, and you can enjoy art to your heart's content.
Staff is super friendly. Every time when we went down to lobby, they would ask if we need any drinks. We got tea, coffee, orange juice, and sometimes croissant and fruit for free. The room we stayed was quite small. There are nearby tram stops but you need to walk at least one block. Overall it was a nice stay. We often visited the park nearby and enjoyed the nice neighborhood.
The location is fantastic! 2min walk from tram 1 station and 5min walk from tram 2/12 station. Extremely accessible.
The room is clean and with basic equipment — shampoo, kettle, hair dryer.
The staff is friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out process is smooth and swift.
Affordable price with quality beyond expectations. Love it!

GGuest UserIt's very clean the stuff is very kind and cooperative also the breakfast is great
I recommend this hotel because it is just perfect
TTrenti MatteoLovely area of Amsterdam, short walk to the canals, very central but more laid back, nice restaurants and bars around. The room was very decent, larger than the normal Amsterdam rooms
LLIN YUEH-KUNG/The room was clean and comfortable, the toilet was spacious and bright, and the overall feeling was not bad! This time I stayed in Room 301, the room had a small rumbling resonance sound, resulting in no good sleep.
SShounakWe had a really pleasant stay at Hotel Abba. The location is super convenient — centrally located with a tram stop just around the corner, making it easy to get to the airport in about 30 minutes. It’s also within walking distance to key spots in Amsterdam, which made exploring the city a breeze.
A special shoutout to the manager, who was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. He made sure we had everything we needed and generously provided as many amenities as possible to make us feel at home.
The breakfast was a real highlight — fresh, tasty, and a great way to start the day. Lots of variety and definitely one of the better hotel breakfasts we’ve had on our trip.
All in all, great value for money, lovely service, and a fantastic location. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Amsterdam!
TTrenti MatteoThe location is good, easy to reach by taxi or tram, walking distance to Jordaan but the neighbourhood is not touristic, it’s a local neighbourhood with nice bars and restaurants, and charming canals to the west. Walking distance to the food hallen and vondelpark. The room was on the ground floor facing an inner garden, very quiet
GGuest UserLocated in the western part of the old city, the hotel has historical traces of the building, the service staff is enthusiastic, the location is convenient, and the surrounding area is full of museums. It is suitable for friends who like it. It is worth recommending. The disadvantage is that the room is not soundproof and the room is small.
DduguguirenIt's hard to describe. This is one of the two worst hotels in several countries including the UK, Spain, and Portugal this year. I don't know how it is rated as ”boutique” with three stars. At this price, I stayed in a shabby hotel in a small county town in China in the 1980s.
There are too many things to complain about. The most annoying thing is that there is a bathroom but you can't take a shower unless you want to flood the Jinshan Mountain. Because there is no shelter and no inclination, the water flows directly outside when you turn on the faucet.
It is convenient to travel. Many attractions are within a 20-minute walk. A medium-sized supermarket can be reached in a few minutes.
LLizzi BrownThe hostel is in a good location out of the centre, it's an easy tram ride in to Centraal with very frequent trams.
You get what you pay for, it's cheap and cheerful but very good value for budget accomodation just a short trip from Amsterdam city centre.
The beds were very comfortable, the room was larger than expected and very airy as we were in an attic room and all the windows opened.
The stairs were a bit treacherous, very steep and winding but a nice feature of an old traditional building.
The showers and facilities were fine, kept clean by other travellers and staff and the kitchen was fine too.
I would definitely stay here again for cheap, reasonable accommodation.
