Oude Centrum Amsterdam|1.93km from Java Eiland
Hotel location is very good! Almost all the attractions can be reached by walking. Passing a bridge is the famous red light district The hotel is very cautious from the welcome drink. My husband and I don’t drink alcoholic beverages. They give us non-alcoholic champagne. After the check-in, we also give the L’Occitane gift bag. The weather in Amsterdam makes us go out very bad. Convenient, the hotel will also provide a very creative disposable raincoat, the raincoat is placed inside a white ball, the ball can be hung on the carry-on bag, the girl with big eyes and short hair at the front desk is particularly warm and friendly, forgetting to ask her The name, the hotel's breakfast should be considered semi-self-service, offer some options, although we stayed for 10 days, will eat some meals, but still not tired, the dishes are very delicate and delicious, two Benedict eggs always eat Not enough, there is a smoking room on the first floor of the hotel. My husband will take a cigarette every morning to come over for breakfast. The tall, tall man with a big NICE will put his husband’s coffee in advance to the smoking room. He, and the drink I ordered, he remembered it the next day. After sitting at the table every morning, I don’t need to say that I will have a glass of orange juice and a cup of English. A meal of tea! The room design is also very user-friendly, the activity space is large, the fruit is rich and delicious, the chocolate is special, all the soft drinks in the refrigerator are provided free of charge, the capsule coffee machine has three flavors per day, the bathroom can be separated from wet and dry, and the room is dehumidified. The system is particularly good, even in the continuous rainy days, the house will not feel the tide, the cleaning supplies provided in the bathroom are all L'Occitane, the bathing equipment has a large water flow. . . All in all a very good hotel, everyone is very friendly. The hotel also provided us with a free drop-off on the last day. If you go to Amsterdam next time, you should consider staying at the hotel again!

Rent a two-bedroom apartment, the family of three is just right. The bed is comfortable and the kitchen is fully equipped. Around 300 meters, there is a supermarket, as well as a car rental company, and there is a paid parking lot in front of the door. We stayed for one night, made a meal, and washed the clothes. Quiet, tidy, it is recommended.

I travel for work and frequent hotels on a weekly basis for the last 16 years, usually Hampton inns or holiday inns. I have never had a breakfast remotely as good as what this hotel serves! There was such a variety of different foods, and we would get a great start to our day with a full belly! Was nice as we could skip lunch as prices were so high at the restaurants. Room was nice and otherwise typical of a Hampton Inn.

This apartment has too many faults and lacks to be a place to recommend, especially at more than 200€ per night. The remarkably comfortable bedding, the very practical washer-dryer and the presence of (free) parking under the hotel do not offset all of the following: “Entrance”: no carpet to put down soaked shoes and dripping coats Living room: nothing that can be used as an office or, at least, to put your computer / no furniture under the TV to store guides, books Bedroom: the only storage space is a wardrobe, half of which is occupied by the ironing board and the iron; only 2 very high shelves. ”Dressing room”: an EMPTY room: NO STORAGE; 0 DRAWERS, 0 SHELVES!! INADMISSIBLE for an apartment costing more than 200€ per night and able to accommodate 4 people. We were 2 for 6 nights and had to leave most of our clothes in the suitcases. Following our complaint, a rack was provided to us but it offered much less storage capacity than what we find, for example, in an Ibis… Kitchen area: inverted mounting of cupboard doors; dangerous and unpleasant to use / hot tap water; dangerous for us but even more so for children / the bulb above the sink is out of order Shower room: NO RADIATOR, NO HEATING. It is therefore the coldest part of the apartment; not pleasant at all. Personally, I had never seen this / no shower gel in the bottle provided for this purpose in the shower WC: no hook to hang the towel which cannot dry / Bring your own toilet paper because, if you use more than what is available to you (2 rolls for 6 nights), the reception informs you that you will have to go buy what you need. At more than 200€ (x 6) the room, it leaves you dreaming. Finally, she had the generosity to offer us a roll.
Bunk Hotel Amsterdam

Oh my, I loved staying at BUNK Hotel Amsterdam. I was first attracted by the good reviews of this young hostel/hotel hybrid, booked it far enough in advance for an early bird discount, and just a couple of days into my seven day stay, I realized I'd truly gotten a great deal. BUNK Amsterdam is fantastic! Ugh, where to start? I rented a pod, which is in a large room containing about 50 pods. Pods are preferable to bunk beds or other kinds of barrack-style hostels. There is privacy, there is enough space for you to get comfortable, change your clothes, the mattress is fine, the blanket and pillow are very cushy and cozy, the curtain is thick and heavy. The lighting situation inside the pod is unique, one of those switches with a lot of color and tone options, so you can really light the pod to your mood. I slept very well considering I was in a room with 30-50 other people at any given time. You also get a private locker beneath your pod that can fit a suitcase and a backpack with relative ease, unless you've overpacked. The bathroom is non-gendered, all the stalls are very clean and private. As a guy, it felt weird to use the bathroom while women were in it, so I blasted music in my earbuds to tune the world out while I did my business, ha. The showers are in a separate room and also very private. The water pressure is great and the showerheads are waterfall style. They have towels available at all hours. If you don't see any on the rack, just ask and there they shall be. The biggest surprise for me here was the restaurant. The restaurant attached to BUNK is basically a 4-star restaurant with 2-star prices. They have a full bar with well-priced drinks and very skilled, very handsome bartenders/baristas who can craft a wide arrays of cocktails. The chefs are also highly skilled, and the servers are attentive and kind. The menu is diverse, ranging from avocado toast to an interesting Indonesia beef stew-like dish that I can only describe as mind-blowingly delicious. They also featured a ”taco” that was very tasty despite really not being a taco at all. My favorite breakfast (and perhaps favorite overall meal) was their Eggs Bennie with fresh smoked salmon. For dessert, on multiple occasions I ordered their popular Snickers dessert, which was peanut ice cream with caramel and shards of chocolate and brittle. I meant to do more foodie tourism during my week in Amsterdam, but the food was so good I wound up taking a good percentage of my meals in the BUNK restaurant. I snapped some pictures of the food I mentioned; it should go without saying that I am not a pro photographer. The front desk is manned (or womaned) 24/7, so anytime there was an issue or I had a question, someone was available. They are very attentive with regards to customer service. I should also note with their keycard system and network of entrances and hallways, I felt very safe. They care about security there and take proper, non-intrusive methods to make sure everyone is comfortable. I should also mention the facility is just beautiful. It's built within a very old church, there is a library, plants everywhere, a calming vibe throughout, and a quiet room for work or study. BUNK is located in the North section of Amsterdam (Noord). Noord is the quieter part of Amsterdam, suburb feeling as opposed to the city vibe elsewhere. It's extremely easy to get to the Central area from here though. There is a ferry about a 10 minute walk away that takes you to the central area, as well as a tram a five minute walk away that takes you directly to Centraal Station. I really hit a home run choosing this place, BUNK Amsterdam truly delivered the goods. Great building, great amenities, great staff, great restaurant, great location. I would recommend this to anyone traveling solo or as a couple/small group. Very small group. It's great to stay for a couple of days or a whole week. I loved my experience here and would stay again if/when I return to Amsterdam. Great place.

Short trip to Amsterdam as a couple. It was a 20 minute walk to the main train station which we were ok with. Breakfast was good. Rather than opting for the bed and breakfast style package, we paid for breakfast each day as there was a quite a large menu with lots of different larger and smaller sized options on it. The bar was lovely, we got to sit by the water and enjoy a few beers from the brewery. We chose to go to the bar rather than wait for table service as it was a lot quicker and we could look at the different beers on sale. The Reception was very helpful. There is a large grassy area just outside which our room overlooked. This did get a bit noisy on a late evening with groups sat out. The water in the shower became ridiculously hot at times so do be careful of this. This was a good base on the outskirts of town.

Hotel lacked very basic things you would expect. No information in rooms regarding amenities available, time table for breakfast or even local info, not even safety information incase of fire. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. No water or glasses. No phone to contact reception and no mini bar. Good shower, liquid soap only, no other toiletries in bathroom. No house keeping . We stayed 3 nights and had no one come in and make bed or clean. Only 3 hangers for 2 people so had to fold clothes. No on site cafe . Bar small and limited. Did sell pizza and one other dish but tried the pizza one night and was a pre bought frozen pizza. Staff were not helpful, we arrived early before 3pm and although our room was ready we were charged an extra £40 to have our room early. Room was a nice size and modern but two walls were glass which looked directly into opposite rooms and so we had to have curtains closed day and night. Breakfast was okay, again pretty basic. Beds were comfortable and hotel modern and clean overall but unfortunately I would not go back and so could not recommend .
