"I found the very comfortable room with good size and cable TV. Good bed.Because of being wooden,the ground floor rooms suffer very much with the noise of the top,and yes incomoda.Com sure, there must be a way to isolate that noise.Wi-Fi did not work any day in the room.Cafe Morning could be better with more options, they only make frite or mosquito egg. It has evening coffee with some cakes that are left over from the coffee. nearly every day I had to stay asking to repair the items that ended, because the kitchen official wasn't very concerned about checking. net in a very pleasant balcony."

"I came to Ilha Grande to get away from the craziness of Rio and really pleased I did. Great location at Lagamar and really friendly hosts. Breakfast was lovely and more than enough food to sit and enjoy the great views for a few hours. Lodge was great. I mentioned to a friend that Lagamar was more Thailand than Thailand. Just a couple of things to note that aren’t mentioned in Lonely Planet: 1. Whilst you can get to Lagamar and back from Arbaao it’s definitely not recommended. Angra seems to be the mainland destination. 2. The local beach, which is picture perfect, only had two restaurants that I could find and I couldn’t get the rhythm of when food was being served. On reflection maybe a bit more guidance / instructions on the area when checking in would have been beneficial. It’s only a small area and I would have assumed that everyone knows everyone."

"I made a request for a free cancellation through Booking, and they asked for my card details to supposedly process it, but they charged my card 78€. Not content with that, they told me they had canceled my reservation on the same day of the trip and that my room had been sold to someone else. I had to pay for another hotel. However, the reservation at the Tropicana hotel is still active on Booking’s website, and I had to block my card to prevent them from charging me the full amount of the reservation as they intended. Charging twice for the same room is a great business, isn’t it?"

"This company has TERRIBLE customer service. We booked 3 nights on Ihle Grande and at the time of booking, we requested a 4-person dorm as we are a family and needed to be together. On arrival they told us they had filled their dorms so we had to sleep in separate rooms. We decided that as they could not fulfil what we requested, we would go somewhere else. We were not able to speak directly to someone. It was conducted via WhatsApp. When we pointed out that we had requested to be in one room, they called us liars, despite showing them a screenshot of the request. The person typing was incredibly rude, typing certain words in capitals and very condescending. They “fined” us 1 night’s cost despite not being able to fulfil our request and have since stopped communicating with us. I would never stay with this company. They don’t care about their customers."
