Hôtel Belvédère

We had booked a superior double room which from the photos had a window or balcony. Upon arrival we were given a horrible room... on the street level with grates on the window and a bad smell. For 92 euros!! When asked for explanations they were unable to help us. Rejected

Hotel Belvedere is centrally located in Arles on the lively Place Voltaire square. We got a large room with a balcony, well insulated and therefore without pervasive noise from the square. The welcome was friendly and they were open to our questions. We were helped to carry our suitcase to the 2nd floor. Parking: Simply drive to Place Voltaire and unload. Free long-term parking at the station, the walking distance is only a few minutes. During our visit, a stage was being built on the square. We sat 'first ring' on our balcony. Perfect if you like Algerian music, but that's not the case with us. Arles is a small city. The monuments, café Vincent van Gogh and the market are a short walk away. We took a tour through the Camargue, and it was striking that the temperature in the somewhat fashionable town of Saintes-Maries de la Mer was pleasant compared to the 40 degrees in Arles. We think we saw some of the famous white wild horses. It was impossible to see whether they were really wild. We were satisfied with Hotel Belvedere. However, we did not understand why breakfast was not offered one day. Dorry & Ton.

We were very well received, the owner is very helpful, perfect cleanliness, bedding is very good, the host is very well located next to the arenas and the center, however the room is a little cramped but for one night it is not really a problem

Shocking, catastrophic reception at 11:00. The employee runs off without even saying hello! "A Tout Aleur." Calling over his shoulder. Wow! Good: the location, the rooms with a micro terrace, the cleanliness, the view, so one point. Bad - very bad: the behavior of one of the employees at breakfast, his unfounded unfriendliness, the entire a**osphere of this strange establishment. (But there was a really friendly employee at reception for a short time)

Central position on Place Voltaire, if you like to see people it will be very good. Decent hotel, very small normal room with just room for the bed and not even any storage space...You have to walk up to the 3rd floor..

Hotel very well located, very good bedding, nice decor. It's a shame that the welcome was so deplorable because we arrived at 6:50 p.m., the hotel announcing a check-in until 7 p.m. Unpleasant host, bordering on aggressive, blaming us for our late arrival. Really a shame, this lowers the quality of our stay. We didn't even want to have breakfast the next day.
