I spent three nights at Cadence Lodge to ski at Whiteface! Cadence Lodge has been meticulously renovated with skiers/cyclists in mind. My room had an entryway with cubbies, hooks, and a rubber mat for storing all of my ski gear. The room was decorated in a ski/bike theme and looked very modern and up to date. The owners were available to answer questions I had and they had coffee brewed in the office every morning. Cadence Lodge is a gem in the Lake Placid area and I will be back!

We stayed just one night. Cozy room, SUPER CLEAN. Very nice people. Nice restaurant on site. Not far from whiteface mountain, bar down the street. Convenient and comfortable for a night or two. I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely stay again.

My husband, daughter and I stayed two nights in August while we did some hiking and exploring. It is a cozy gem of a place that is so clean and all updated. The room decor was lodge-like with adorable throw pillows and comfy beds. Weekends you get a home cooked amazing breakfast and can hang out in the pavilion type structure a few steps from your room with a gas fireplace and nice tables/chairs or outside on a quiet porch or around the fire pit. Owners and staff are lovely people who clearly care about your experience. Loved that there were recycle bins everywhere too. A gorgeous 15 min or so drive to lake placid. Close to several decent hikes and a few restaurants (we ate at the Hungry Trout/McDougals down the road). We will be back!

We have stayed at this motel 4 times over the last five or so years and it has been great every time. The rooms are clean and “modern cottage” decor. The beds and pillows are great, and the showers are hot with good water pressure. What more do you need? Oh yeah, the included weekend breakfasts are fantastic! The woman who runs the place is friendly, attentive and relaxed. She has a good sense of humour and lots of tips for local adventures. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance, but you really need to venture into Lake Placid if you’re looking for a night out. It’s a very short drive to Whiteface ski hill and about 20 minutes to Lake Placid. This is where we will always stay when we come to the area.

Cadence Lodge treats guests like old friends. The room was cozy, comfortable, warm and immaculately clean. The weekend breakfast was casual, made to order and delicious. Special thanks goes to champion fire-starter and super mom Liz. Cadence is close enough to Lake Placid to visit, but far enough away for peace and quiet and a relaxed pace. Also close to High Falls Gorge, which is a must-see. We will definitely be back!!!

So glad we picked this place! As much as we love Lake Placid, it was nice to come back to the peace and quiet of Cadence Lodge. The rooms are updated with comfortable furnishings. Rooms are a little small but manageable. Outdoor seating area with fire pit was nice at the end of the day. Would definitely stay again!

No confirmation email, no reminders sent. Charged a $500 fee for cancelling! Not willing to do anything for a 3 night stay and held to keeping money for all three nights. High season they could rent out in an instance. BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE1 BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!

I coordinated a tour of the Adirondacks for a group of 18 people. The tour was originally booked for June 2020 (pre-Covid) but was cancelled and rebooked in June 2022. Shelley was great to work with during the initial planning, after cancellation, and during rebooking. The rooms were redone several years ago and have been very well maintained. Shelley and her husband, Don, provided an outstanding breakfast. Everything met or exceeded my expectations. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting the Adirondacks!

This place is awesome! We stayed two nights, the rooms are newly renovated, clean and comfortable. Shelley will go out of her way to make sure you are comfortable and happy. The breakfast on the weekend was very good. There is a fire pit to hang out at night.
