Hotels in Ubud, Bali

This hotel is very beautiful. Hidden in the tropical rainforest surrounded by rice paddies. It’s a little bit further out from central Ubud but I rented a motorbike and parked i at the hotel. The bath was great. The pool and restaurant was fantastic. The onsite Indian restaurant was phenomenal.

This is one of those hotels you just want to return to. Over six days, we never once felt like we were missing anything. On the contrary, every day we discovered something new, and we really didn't want to leave. The most striking impression was the level of service. They truly surround you with care from the moment you check in until you check out. It was incredibly convenient that we could communicate with staff via WhatsApp: we ordered room service, used the laundry, booked activities, and any question was resolved quickly. The Kids Club deserves a special mention. We loved the eco-friendly approach: the hotel has its own garden where children can walk around, plant and care for plants, make crafts from natural materials, and participate in various creative activities. The club itself is very clean, well-equipped, and the educators are incredibly kind and attentive. Besides that, there’s a real, small mini-zoo on the premises. Every day we went to see the animals: there are deer, goats, rabbits, birds, an otter, and other inhabitants. The deer impressed the children the most. You can also go fishing. The hotel grounds are incredibly beautiful. The pool with a jungle view is one of the most memorable spots, where we wanted to spend time every day. The food also left an excellent impression. Breakfasts were very diverse. A personal discovery for me was the coconut vegan yogurts – so delicious that I ate them every morning. And when we left in the middle of the night to catch the sunrise at Mount Batur, they thoughtfully prepared breakfast for us to take with us. Over the six days, we still didn't manage to try everything the hotel has to offer. There are so many activities for adults and children that you could easily spend your entire vacation here without hardly leaving the property. The only thing to consider is that the hotel is located not in the center of Ubud, but closer to Kintamani. For us, this was actually an advantage – it's quiet all around, with fresh air and a feeling of complete unity with nature. There's a free shuttle several times a day to the center, so getting there isn't difficult. Due to its elevated location, it's cooler here in the mornings and evenings than in Ubud itself, so I recommend bringing a light sweater.

Location: The hotel is located directly on the main road to Ubud Palace. The entrance isn't very large, but it extends quite far back. Facilities: The hotel has a 5-story building facing the street, and further in there's a garden villa area. My room was upstairs and was very spacious with an enclosed balcony. The view from the room, facing the road, was just average. However, once you walk into the garden, the views in the villa area are excellent. Service: The front desk is quite unassuming. At first, I had to carry my own luggage, but then someone dedicated to taking guests to their rooms appeared and even offered a welcome drink. It happened to be afternoon tea time, which was a nice snack. The hotel also offers a free shuttle service around Ubud. I didn't get to ride in an open-top sightseeing vehicle, but cruising around in a BYD air-conditioned car was also pretty good.

Right by the Ayung River, the scenery is absolutely unbeatable. I honestly think the natural beauty here surpasses even places like Mandapa and Como, which are also on the river, where I've stayed before. The hotel has its own waterfall, a royal temple, and a holy spring. Most of the guests seem to be from India and the Middle East. The hotel has been operated by royal descendants for generations. While it might be a bit older, it's well-maintained, and the service is excellent. The only minor downside is that the food isn't really suited for Chinese palates, but that's not a big deal if you're only staying for two or three nights. As I was leaving, they even asked me to promote the hotel in China!

I just stayed for one night but I can say it was great even thought my short staying. I arrived at 4 am from airport and they received me super kindly. The bed was very comfortable and the space was convenient for solo or couple traveling. The room was clean as well. They have a pool and a coffee shop too. The staff was very polite. They helped me with my luggage in the check in and out. I truly recommend it.

Great villa in a peaceful natural setting, yet only 5–10 minutes from central Ubud by motorbike. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. A perfect place to relax while staying close to everything. Highly recommended!

This is a place I'd love to visit again! The pool was absolutely the best 👍🏽, and the room was spacious and great too. It's perfect for families and couples alike. It's a bit far from the city center, but getting around with Grab is totally fine 😊

The hotel's hardware is absolutely top-notch. It's located in a relatively quiet area of Ubud (with many wood carving shops nearby, a bit of a distance from the central areas like Ubud Palace). Our villa was the innermost one, with the pool facing the river in the rainforest. Waking up to the sound of water and the chirping of birds and insects was truly a blissful experience. There was a minor oversight in the hotel's cleaning, but the staff were very proactive and responsive in addressing it.

I want to recommend it to everyone and I can’t bear to let people know the treasure hotel. I didn’t hesitate to book it when I saw this skylight. Even if there was no evaluation, I stayed here for two days and didn’t go anywhere. The meal was very high-quality. The spa was good. The sky light had eight rooms. It was really a very quiet one. The restroom staff are also very hospitable. The room design is very good and clean. The toiletries are also very good. And if you have any needs, you can communicate with the staff from WhatsApp. The balcony is outside the river view. Listening to the sound of the river is very healing. The favorite is the skylight white. The scenery is different from the sunny and rainy days in the evening. Even the stars can be seen at night. It is so beautiful. I will come back next time. I hope the hotel is getting better and better. I am worried that I can’t book a room next time. Haha

This is a gorgeous hotel with an authentic Balinese style. It feels like you're living in an old house, with many beautiful details: carved wooden doors, paintings. We had a villa for four with a pool: two floors, with a bedroom, an open-air bathroom with a tub and shower, a closed living room, and pool access on the first floor. The second floor had a bedroom, a closed bathroom with a shower, and an open veranda. Each floor had a refrigerator and minibar. Some minibar items were free (Coke, Sprite), as were chips and fruit. Wine and sweet snacks were available for an extra charge. The beds were comfortable, and the linens and towels were clean. Mosquito repellent was provided, as were a hairdryer and clothes drying racks. Our pool was quite small, but I saw in hotel photos and glimpsed through dense foliage at our neighbors' villas that some pools were larger. Honestly, we didn't even have time to swim in ours. There are also two very beautiful public pools. Towels are provided at the pools. The grounds are lush with vegetation. The villa offered complete privacy; you are fully enclosed from the surroundings by walls and trees. All the staff were very polite, smiling, and remembered all guests by face. The à la carte breakfasts were superb! There were many options, about 30 (eggs Benedict, avocado toast, smoothie bowls, and much more). You could order several dishes. Everything was delicious. There's parking available. We had a rental car and there was always a spot; if not, the hotel staff would take our key and park it for us later. The hotel is quite close to Ubud center, about a 20-minute walk according to Google Maps. However, for most of the way, there are no sidewalks, and lighting is very poor at night. We ended up never walking. The hotel offers a free shuttle to Ubud Palace every 2 hours. It wasn't always convenient to adjust to this schedule, so we only used it once. Other evenings, we took a taxi to the center; the price was always the same: 56,500 IDR, regardless of traffic or final destination. It seems to be a fixed minimum price. The only downside: near our villa, there was a farm with chickens, and the roosters started crowing relentlessly from 5 AM. But earplugs were thoughtfully provided on the nightstand for this very reason!
