I was a very first guest of Cicada Ubud, an Autograph Collection by Marriott Bali Ubud and I came here for the staycation on August 22, 2024. First, from the arrival side review, the review result was excellent and beyond expectation, i was warm welcomed and greet by the General Manager Ibu Reka from the main door of the lobby hotel, this was making me so special, valued and having so memorable arrival experience with Autograph Brand, especially with Cicada Ubud. Also a huge thanks to Ophan, Kartika, and Ina from the front office and guest service, the check in process was so excellent and flawless. I also enjoyed my welcome drink made from a refreshing butterfly pea , its very refreshing, warm and pampering welcome experience of Cicada Ubud. This is a hidden gem for a serene hideaway for a couple traveller. Truly a huge and tremendous guest recognition also coming from Gus Ari, Kris, Ratna, Agus Wira, Angga Permana, Chacha, Candri, Anie, Dewi, Ace, Yumi, Satra Yana and all front office team during the arrival. Then, from the bed room and bathroom side review, the review was also excellent. I love the idea of the bed room and bath room which made us unite with the serene of nature. A tremendous and huge thanks also for our welcome amenity in our room villa, i love the magnificent and wide panoramic view in our room villa. The bathroom and bed room cleanliness also exceed expectation, as the bed was so fresh and clean and the bathroom also clean and spacious. In terms of space, the bedroom villa was so spacious and so fresh, i can easily enjoy the fresh and clean air of Ubud and still the bed room was so clean and fresh, thanks to exceeded services from the Housekeeping team and Wayan Candriani as well. Definitely an intimate serene hideaway retreat for a couple traveller. Also from the food and beverage side review, the review was also excellent. I love my time when having a meal and peaceful retreat at Verdant Restaurant and Tangelo Restaurant. A huge and tremendous thanks to Suta, Novy, Dony and Tria , as she serve me as a family, as a very closed family, and this is an asset for the hotel, they serve from the heart, and they serve me like their family. From the food quality and food taste side review, the review result was also excellent, Autograph Hotel is a premium brand, but Cicada, Autograph Collection Ubud put a great value of the food taste and quality as same equal with a luxury brand level, a tremendous and huge special thanks to Chef Buda, Dewa Putu, Elma and Putu Rama the Bartender at Tangelo Restaurant who always bring the quality and food level of Cicada Autograph Collection Ubud in to Luxury Brand level, awesome and always go exceed my expectation. We do also love the ambience of our dinner time in Tangelo Restaurant especially a special dinner with balinese dance entertainment, absolutely will do coming back again even only stoping by for a memorable diner experience in Sebatu Tegal Alang area. I’ve stayed here many times and it’s a great get away from the hustle bustle. But the food is just so bad it’s best to just gojek food from outside. We order pad Thai and it’s honestly one of the cheapest meals to make and yet there’s almost no ingredients. It’s just noodles. And it’s the same for many other dishes .

Tucked away in a quaint village far from the maddening crowds in Canggu et al, this is a retreat to recharge and get away from it all. The property is architecturally interesting and the room is unusually vertical, designed as a treehouse, with a bathtub and open air relaxing area at the top. The infinity pool is surprisingly deep, and there is a natural cascading waterfall right in front of it. Absolutely hidden gem of a place.

Amazing experience, place is unique and magnificent, stuff are very kind especially Priska. Food is food and prove reasonable. One more doubt , if you are a person who don’t like the noise and nature sound , it’s a place in the middle of the jungle so you need to think twice . The privet pool is good but I think the resort need to cover it more because some places are clear and the neighbors can easily sneak. Overall, great experience

The direction and road leading to the resort can be tasting especially at night. Narrow road and no streetlamp. It's a sanctuary by itself and it's excellent just to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. Far from any amenities and it's inconvenient to move around. Private chartered car is a must; no Grab no Gojek; unless you take local taxi booked via hotel. Moving from room to lobby and dining areas requires much walking up the slope/stairs (cos the hotel is like perched on hil). You can ask for a buggy service (they have 2) and are subject to waiting time if many requests. Room was splendid and view was canopy. WiFi was strong. Room came with complimentary packs of chips and 3 cans of soft drinks. Toilet has no door and showering could be cold cos of air-conditioning. Breakfast was simple. Buffet spread of basic menu like drinks and pastries. One could order from menu. I find this was good cos less wastage Overall, resort personnel were polite and attentive!

I always love staying at Komaneka Rasa Sayang when in Ubud and have stayed there many times on my own, with friends and with family. My last visit was with my brother who joined me from Cape Town. He absolutely loved it. The service is exceptional and I always feel very spoilt by the amazing staff and it does feel like it is my second home in Bali. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Ubud. From the moment I arrive, I am always welcomed back like family. The rooms are so beautiful and spacious with gorgeous bathrooms and balconies with daybeds overlooking lush greenery. A jar of home made cookies and fruit basket is a lovely touch. The hotel is set back from the main road but it is so peaceful and only steps away from the centre of Ubud with lots of great shops and restaurants and the monkey forest. The pool area is beautiful and relaxing surrounded by palm trees, nature and the sound of running water from the river below. The staff are so attentive at the pool and it is a great spot to enjoy the daily complimentary afternoon tea. The breakfast is delicious and has lots of variety. The restaurant setting is beautiful overlooking the pool. If something is not on the breakfast menu, just ask and the staff will go out of their way to make it for you if possible. I wish to compliment Ari at reception for her exceptional and always polite and friendly service. I did miss seeing Ibu Desak and Sitiari this time. Can’t wait to be back there again

Nestled near Canggu, The Saren is a hidden gem that effortlessly blends tranquility with modern luxury. The highlight of my stay was I could enjoy peacefully the luxury of my private pool and breathtaking views of the lush rice fields. The tranquility of the surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation, creating a peaceful haven just minutes away from the vibrant Canggu area. The service at The Saren is impeccable, and the staff's friendliness adds a personal touch to the experience. Their attentive care made me feel right at home, contributing to the overall warmth of the stay. The interior design and architecture of the place struck a perfect balance between modern aesthetics and the tranquility of the surroundings. It offered a refreshing break from the busyness of Canggu, providing a serene atmosphere for those seeking a peaceful retreat. I was able to finally sit down after 2 weeks of traveling and edit my photographs from this trip. It also had a great internet connection and I was able to have my meetings with clients without any issues. Located just a 10-minute ride from the iconic Echo Beach and the breathtaking Tanah Lot, The Saren offers both convenience and seclusion. Whether I craved the lively atmosphere of Echo Beach or the beauty of Tanah Lot, both were easily accessible from this tranquil oasis. For those in search of a serene escape near Canggu, The Saren is undoubtedly a haven of tranquility and modern comfort. My stay here was a perfect blend of solitude, relaxation, and convenient access to the wonders of Bali

I do wonder whether some people who have given this hotel negative reviews actually checked in to the wrong place. There were no bad smells. There were no loud noises. There were no flashlights shining in the rooms at night. The staff are unfailingly kind, helpful and polite. Yes, service at the Beach Club can be a bit variable but it is always gracious and generous - and the Beach Club is busy. This is a hotel that goes the extra mile. The staff open doors for you. They remember your name. There is complimentary fruit and macaroons in the rooms. Staff will always help you. I went to reception to organise some trips. The staff could not have been more helpful and my personal driver was also superb. The facilities are amazing for a hotel if this size. The gym is incredible. Private reformer Pilates anyone? Where else do you see that? The spa is absolutely beautiful and the treatments sublime. We stayed in a more basic room and were upgraded by Expedia to one with a patio. We were. Touch disappointed that there were no chairs on the patio which was small. Perhaps they could take out the planting and put in a bench seat? But the room was spacious, well appointed, with a massive bathroom. The design is minimalist which we like. Being in the reception/spa/gym building away from the pool probably meant it was a bit quieter too. Elsewhere, the Beach Club is pricey but that’s my only ******. There are places aplenty along the beach to the left and right which are cheaper if it bothers you that much. Breakfasts are plentiful. The lagoon pool is just sublime and at 150 metres long, a great daily workout! Canggu is a bit chaotic with building work and noise at the moment but this hotel is like a peaceful haven in the midst of it all. It is situated at the end of the road by the beach so no through traffic at all. We loved it and would (ie will) return in a heartbeat. We would thoroughly recommend it. Magnificent Ball. Magnificent hotel that will highlight the joy of staying on the island. Excellent location, beautiful view, new rooms, wonderful breakfasts (buffet + order European and local cuisine, we tried almost all the local dishes from the menu, it was very tasty), but the most important thing is the people working in the hotel. They are always ready to help with any little thing, very friendly and kind. This improves the mood throughout the day. I celebrated my birthday during my stay, I was very nicely congratulated. On the roof there is a swimming pool with an Instagram view. Open until 10 pm. It's a 5-minute walk to the sea. There are plenty of restaurants and shops around. The evening life is nearby, but the hotel is built in such a way that it does not interfere.

Have a great stay here. The hotel is clean, the staffs are friendly; but as Bali is habitats island, so still will have some insects and leaves in the room sometimes. It’s acceptable. Very convenient location. It’s not as crowded as Canggu beach area but not too far from there. Grab only took around 5-10 mins to those spots.
