Hotels near Queens Waterfront Viewing Spot, Southwest Penang Island

Hi I place 3 star for cleanliness as I can smell body sweat smell once I enter the room and also along my floor corridor. It’s probably from the unchanged bed sheets / quilt cover as I was told if the guests didn’t ask to change the bed sheets it won’t be replaced. There’s is a card that you have to place on the bed if you have your room for make up. But the towels also has this bad smell even though it’s new. Perhaps Eastin Hotel Penang has to change who does their laundry. Tak fresh la bau laundry… especially your towels Not kidding I stayed at Cititel Express hotel Georgetown and the towels got no bad smells , and even though their room is smaller but at least the bed sheets are fresh and no sweat smell. Breakfast buffet is excellent - all is ok except I want to recommend to not make the quiche base sweet…. It’s supposed to be savoury ( it was mushroom and tomato filling ) so why you make it sweet?? Apart from that all is ok

there is a cozy coffee shop right next to it and also a chain supermarket making it very friendly to foody and young family. they also hasce this grab point at the doorstep so you can communicate well with driver wothout proble.

This was our 1st time at Amari Spice but from the on set was a bad experience. Driving into the hotel I could not drive to the lobby entrance to drop my family & luggage as it was blocked for some reason best known to Amari. Security at the entrance was of no help & I ended up blocking the way of a car at the back. What was supposed to be destress trip, started off on bad note. Anyway cursing Amari Spice for being worst than a 1 star hotel, I reversed back into the lobby entrance. Told this bad experience while checking in to the front office staff but they were not bothered  Going to the room found the mattress to be too soft sinking when you lay down & the air cond temp tops up at 26.5 degress, not everyone likes the room super cold. These 2 shortcomings are something that you wld not find in a 4 or 5 star hotels but looks like Amari is still figuring out where they stand. Even many 3 star hotels are better. Moving to the shower both rain & hand shower water flow was dispointing at best with temperature regulation being a challenge. Since my home is at Bukit Jambu & the main reason of chosing Amari was to destress, which was not possible with the said room conditions, I had to leave my family both nights to head home to rest. The matteress, shower & air cond at home the best. Wondering how Amari claims to be home away from home. On a good note the staff were courteous & friendly. Inclosing would I stay at Amari Spice again. NO.

This is the 3rd trip to Penang in past 12 months, and always choose Olive Tree. Close to airport and Bayan Lepas which is the heart of semiconductor in Penang. Rooms are clean and staffs are friendly. The restaurant next door opens 24 hours, no need to worry if some mid night snack is needed.

The check in and check out process were really easy and fast, room is spacious, clean and we really like the bed. its king size with fluffy pillow. all basic amenities were provided, iron, hair dryer, sejadah, toothbrush set, drinking water, fridge, kettle. the pool can be better maintained, but my kids have lots of fun playing in the pool with playground in it. Overall, nice stay, not much to complain. There's a restaurant downstairs but better check the price before entering. Maybe just a little improvement on the housekeeping. we book the room for 2 night and went out, no housekeeping were sent to change the towel, empty the trash bin, refill drinking water, shower foam etc. Need to call and ask (bdway, there's no phone in the room). my suggestion is to put a sign so that the housekeeping know which room need to be tidy up etc.

This hotel is located near the Bayan Lepas International Airport which is very convenient to air travelers. Parking is easy and close to the building. The plus point of this hotel is the room which is large and spacious. The cafe is easily accessable and the prices are reasonable. You must try their mi goreng sotong......The serving is huge and tasty. Front office staff are helpful and friendly and for the present room rate they are charging, it is worth for a second visit. It was a very bad experience to check in here. First day when check in my room, the cleaning was too bad as picture I provide 1-7.used face mask hang at the cabinet,used face mask on top of the cabinet, tower at floor, tissue at floor,stain in the cup.unknow stain in the toilet, blood on the pillow case, snack at the floor. when staff come over the room also can't accept this happen. Very appreciate night shift staff help me to change another room for one night.(this was my room) Picture 8 is my fren room, tissue and sugar paper hidden beside bed.and the room full of u know smell. But my fren was not change the room, just ask tomorrow must come to do cleaning. 2nd day morning me move back to previous room..my room is ok, but my fren room been ask to do cleaning, cleaner report done cleaning.. But even we go out for half day and back to hotel..their never do any cleaning to my fren room. The tissue and sugar paper are still there...we do complain again.and staff change another 2 room to us immediately. OK fine, change the room again.. But my room toilet tower was totally wet as picture 9... I really don't know what to said... We pay 4days 3 night almost 520 per person... But we get this experience.. Do hope deview management can really double check the room was clean and tidy before let customer live in and make sure the cleaner do well all their job since now are still pendemic covid 19... Anyway, their staff was very helpful and appreciated for their good attitude and friendly attention.

I m truly amaze with the surprise by Lexis, a small request but it is truly awesome preparation by hotel. Thank you trip.com and lexis for giving us an unforgettable stay . This is our very first trip after 4 years coinciding with my hubby birthday. Definitely will visit again

Room is showing it's age and looks overdue for a refresh. Clealiness is average - can feel the carpet and floor is slightly dusty, there's some obvious stains on the mirror as well Other than that the service is good, location is ok (local foodcourt with some good food is walking distance away) just a bit far away from Georgetown. The breakfast is just decent, nothing to shout about All things considered I'm still happy with my 2 nights stay. Management can consider the above points for further improvement

Flamingo is a lovely, modest hotel with excellent service and a great location. The pool is maintained to very high standard with the pool attendant happy, friendly, up for a laugh as well as entertaining the kids. The pool is closed between 11-12 for cleaning and the attendant takes this job exceptionally seriously so the pool is always immaculate. There is a pool bar but service during the week is limited - better on weekends. Access to the beach is at the back of the pool and is less than ten steps into the water (although there is plastic in the water and apparently jelly fish at times but we didn’t experience that). Rooms are basic and clean each with a balcony. I didn’t get the beach view and was disappointed when my friends were as their view was stunning. The location is great with the aforementioned beach access but also a few great restaurants across the road, SAB Is a Malaysian restaurant with all sorts of food including banana leafs and breakfast. Next door is a Lebanese restaurant called Lebanese Garden which is pricy for Malaysia but very delicious. Home Cafe has decent European breakkie (again more expensive than SAB) and there is a local breakfast market 300’ away that is outstanding local food and does a night market on Tuesdays. A great hotel!
