I had the pleasure of staying at the estancia Hotel recently and was thoroughly impressed by the outstanding experience it provided. The hotel's on-site restaurant offered a delicious variety of dishes made from fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. I was staying for two nights in Tagaytay for a bit of a rest and to check out the Alternative Summer Capital of the Philippines as a possible place for retirement: Baguio is the official summer capital, but is a long drive north from Manila. The hotel has a good location on top of a ridge with views of Taal Lake and there is a shopping mall with restaurants on the other side of the road: best access is via pedestrian bridge, as the road is very busy. There are plenty of other restaurants within walking distance on both sides of the road. My room had two double beds (which was different I guess…lol) and an ensuite. The bed was comfortable enough, but there were brackets at the base (presumably for connecting another bed) which were savage ankle traps when returning from a nocturnal trip to the bathroom: I was rolling around in agony and probably exhausted my considerable vocabulary of swear words…hope there was no-one in the room next door! The bathroom was very average and the shower head / bottom spout setup was of a type I’d not encountered before: if you want to use the shower head you have to grab the nozzle of the bottom spout, then pull and twist. It was apparently faulty as after two tries they replaced the entire bottom spout, but it was still very difficult to use. The free WIFI was almost non-existent: I could not get a signal in my room and the only way to get a signal was to either stand in the doorway of my room, or sit at the table in the corridor…and speaking of the corridors, has anyone seen the movie The Shining? The corridors had an eery feeling and other reviews have made similar comments about being reminded of that film…lol The hotel was clean and pleasant enough, but a bit dated and could do with a refurbishment. I was entitled to free breakfasts for which I was grateful…local dishes, so it may not suit some Western tastes. There was a swimming pool, but it was too cold and windy to use. Staff were great!

Honestly the hotel as I mentioned above is excellent hotel in everything but the problem for the peoples who will select room with breakfast as me , the problem I paid money to eat breakfast as I like or there is buffet breakfast but the problem, the procedure is different. The menus only assigned some items and need to choose one and this is not fair due I am Arab and different due Muslim and not eat any food , anyway thanks for all your nice kind and nice in services and nice people do their best to satisfy the guest in the guest hotel 🙏

My last visit was 2 years ago.. and yesterday I tried it again (Sept 11-12) When we arrived the room is not yet ready and waited for 20 mins before releasing the room. The FO duty gave me the WIFI password for 2 devices only. while waiting we already connected to the wifi however when we arrived at the room the signal is so week and no internet connection. We called assistance, the IT officer went to our room and check.. He offered other wifi connection but still not working.. He went to our room thrice but the connection is not FIXED. ” wala man lang pasensya na po Maam,. kasi ganito ganyan,,,... Ang sabi lang niya is ”Malakas naman po ang internet bakit kaya di naconnect?” Connected naman daw ang phone nya bakit samin ay hindi. Para sabihin ko lang din Hindi outdated ang phone namin and Samsung naman. I am telling you dis cuz ito din nagig problem ko from last stay ko.. And ngayon di pa padin nag babago, walang improvement. Second, BOTTLED WATER. Nilagay namin sa ref yung 2 tubig then nung iinumin na namin.. don lang namin napasin na bawas na pala ung isang bote. Then sakto may dumaan na housekeeping sinabi ko ung about sa tubig. and yes wala nanaman sinabing ”pasensya or whatsoever” wala kumuha lang sya ng tubig.. tinanong ko pala sya kung libre lang ba ung tubig kung mag add sabi nya OO so pinalitan naman nya ung tubig namin 4 na bote ang binagay nya.. so ito na nga Gabi na ubos na ang tubig namin,. tumawag ako sa FO to refill again the water and sabi is MAY BAYAD na daw. Php 70 isang bote ng Summit Water 500ML. WOW. I am also working sa hotel pero ang tubig is libre kahit gaano kadami ang hingin.. my bayad man ang tubig pero un is kung ung branded talaga na bottled water. 500 ml na summit is 15 pesos lang... So namahalan ako.. ginawa ko nag padeliver nalang ako. Third, Last day.. I ask the FOA if possible for late check out. 1PM lang naman.. Ang sagot lang nya sakin is ... Ay Maam, hindi ko po alam tatanong ko lang po sa Supervisor. But nung time na un is sya palang naak duty so sabi ko babalikan ko nalang sya.. So, Over all.. I think, NEED ng staffs nyo ng training on how to answer queries.complain,concern ng guets.. Okay naman ung hotel nyo sana kaso if ganon ang staffs nyo pumapangit ang Image.

If you want to go somewhere quite and just chill this is the place to be. It has a stunning view of Tagaytay. The only down side is their pool has no heater so it would be freezing as expected lol. Their in house Spa inside the hotel is a super plus, super relaxing and not iver priced. I also love the food at their restaurant, I ordered a lot lol. Complimentary breakfast is standard. Parking lot is spacious when we came in. Area is accessible to nearby Tagaytay spots. I will definitely comeback if I am in the area.

I booked this resort for the family for Dec 24-25,2023 . My plan is to spend our Noche Buena in this resort. I made the right choice. I got 3 rooms. I was amazed of the space! It’s spacious and clean. The AC is in perfect condition and super cold. The staff are all accommodating and efficient. Very friendly too! I love this resort bcoz it’s also pet friendly. Pur Noche Buena was a success too! The food’s good too. I highly recommend this resort for family get together, holidays, barkada get together, etc!

My kids enjoyed the play room. The room was clean, however, there was an annoying smell that comes from the bathroom. The housekeeping came and made a thorough cleaning, but the smell keeps coming back. Other than that, all were good. Will still come back in the future.

The property is clean but lacks a lot of things which we found during our visit as under: 1. The lady all-in-one staff at the property lacks hospitality skills, she speaks to the guests as if they are doing a favor by giving a room to the guest for the tariff they are charging. 2. The property pictures look beautiful but the reality of the surroundings outside the property is sad. The property is good. The property is far from the city centre and transportation is a bit of a challenge. 3. We booked for a single standard but due to oversight we booked the room with a shared toilet upon reaching the property when we realized our mistake we were told that if we needed an attached toilet then we had to upgrade the room by paying additional Php.300 which we agreed but later we realized that the lower end room had TV but this upgraded room is without TV. 3. The property shows a ”Kitchenette: in all rooms and the pictures on the property listing also show cooking utensils, a kettle, and a microwave but we did not find the cooking utensils and we were told that cooking is not allowed in the rooms and we should not use the microwave oven also too much. refer picture. 4. There is no wardrobe in the room. A small clothes rack is provided which can accommodate only two towels weight and anything more than that will damage the rack itself. There is no luggage storage space as mentioned in the listing. 5. No towel hangers or any kind of racks or hooks in the bathroom for clothes and towels. Refer picture. 6. We were provided a pair of slippers of two different colors and different sizes, refer picture. 7. Listing says 24-hour check-in/out but we were told at the property that check-in/out is at 2 p.m. and left before 12 noon. 8. Last point is that the property is very far from the main city center and there is no proper food & beverage facility around the property at least for 5-6 km radius. I wish to inform the property management to take the above comments in a constructive manner and work on them and make changes to the listing and also look at improving upon the points and not take them otherwise and reply as they have done to many comments here in a very unprofessional manner. I have been a hotelier myself for the past 34 years and our first rule always was ” The guest is always right”. It is far from where I am. There are no amenities around. However, room service is good so you can solve everything in the hotel.
