JJOOZWAYI have always wanted to experience the beauty of Qiandao Lake. It was my birthday so I rewarded myself with a trip to Qiandao Lake. For such a leisurely vacation, the choice of homestay is so important! Yungu Songjian Homestay was planted as soon as I saw its pictures. It is surrounded by mountains and has a white two-story building. It has a unique atmosphere even on rainy days. It also has a large swimming pool. It is also very good for taking photos at night. The afternoon tea is exquisite and delicious. They can also provide full meals. They are all authentic specialties. They are delicious and tasty. The staff of the homestay are very enthusiastic. They will take the initiative to ask about your needs and everything is arranged properly! You can feel the kindness and warmth. This really gave me a great experience of the trip to Qiandao Lake!

11371355****I originally booked a twin room, but after seeing it, I paid extra to upgrade to a family room. The front desk manager was excellent; she showed me two rooms before I made my decision. I added her on WeChat, and she was very responsive to any requests I had. The breakfast was very good, and the young lady with glasses in the breakfast area was wonderful, very attentive to the children, and provided great, polite service. However, the room facilities were really old and outdated. The stuffed toys and floor mat in the family room's small bed area were dirty and worn out. The room cleaning was very perfunctory; they basically only changed the towels, emptied the trash, and refilled the water. Nothing else was tidied up. The family room was the very last one, so it was a long walk. The carpet in the hallway made it super difficult to drag luggage. The soundproofing in the room was incredibly poor; it's the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Upstairs and next door, there was constant banging and clattering day and night, plus a piercing noise from some unknown equipment. The Wi-Fi wouldn't connect, and it took several people a long time to get it working.

EEkaterinaTwo of my friends and I stayed at the VOCO hotel over the Dragon boat's festival in May-June, 2025. All of us really enjoyed the stay. The rooms were comfortable, and even though they were not lake-view rooms, we could still see the lake from our windows.
Two of us cannot speak Chinese, and one of the managers of the hotel, whose name is Leon, took good care of us and helping us to check in and then provided a very comprehensive tour around the hotel showing all the facilities and making bookings for all kinds of activities (kayaking, hot air baloon, photoshoot) and dinners during our stay. I'd like to express my heartfelt thank you to Leon for his very kind help and assistance!
The food at the a dinner and breakfast buffets was plentiful and well cooked, as well as the traditional dishes in a Chinese restaurant. Traditionally cooked fish head is a must try! Big up to Leon for recommending it!
I can also vouch for all the activities that were provided by the hotel as part of the package with our rooms which included kayaking, a photo shoot and hot air ballooning. i'd like to express my gratification to the team that's arranges and carries out all the activities related to the photoshoot. Everything was really nicely done. We were really excited about this opportunity, and loved the photographs that we received as a result of it.
Finally, regarding the facilities, we really enjoyed the open terrace, especially at the sunset time, where we could see beautiful light and clouds over the lake. One of the best facilities is the gym that gives you a wonderful view, as well as the infinity pool, overlooking the lake. Overall, I think the hotel gives you the best value for money in this region, and is a brilliant combination of the great service, very good facilities and additional activities, provided as part of their package. I can highly recommend it!

AAlexander 压力山大The hotel is located in the best spot in the town, so you you'll find it very convenient roaming around from here. The place is surrounded by the best fish restaurants. There's a bike rental right in front of the hotel.
The room was clean is spacious. The shower is awesome in case you need to warm yourself up real quick after a winter walk. I strongly recommend to you to get a round corner room (ours was 2607) with the city view, in this case you'll have a purely magnificent panoramic view on the mountain valley to the Sunset side + city with the night city lights + a part of the lake (check out the photos).
The service was great. They brought us fruit as a Chinese New Year gift.
We had a late train back to Hangzhou and the weather was nasty outside, they agreed to let us stay until 20:00 for half the price.
The TV had a lot of movies in English, so it was great too. Breakfast was a typical Chinese one, but I found something for myself as well and it was enough.
The mini fridge was removed from the room for some weird reason, as I understand, since there's a place for it, but that's not a big deal.
We had an awesome time staying here and definitely will come here again soon!

The lobby manager Xiutian was very enthusiastic and sent welcome fruit drinks;
It is great to have a laundry room. I feel that having a laundry room has become a necessary condition for me to book a hotel in the future;
The breakfast is also good, quite rich. The children ate tea eggs, bread, white porridge and juice;
The children's playground is also good. The children played in it for a long time. It is a must-choose parent-child hotel for lying-flat travel with children;
I didn't experience the swimming pool because the weather was a little cold;
A small episode, there is a happy dog downstairs in the hotel. It doesn't have any class flavor. I envy it instantly when I see it. Why can't I be happy like him by playing with a branch?
In four days, two nights in Hangzhou and two nights in Qiandao Lake, I changed four hotels. I was more satisfied with Intercity and Novotel. The other two are ** what the hell, Huazhu is still quite reliable!

Sshaoping19The hotel's name isn't particularly memorable, but I booked a suite for two nights on short notice and was very impressed. The suite is over 100 square meters, offering ample space for two children to crawl around freely.
The hotel enjoys an excellent location, and its overall architectural design is quite impressive, with a resort-style layout where buildings artfully encircle a central landscape. The three outdoor swimming pools provide plenty of fun for the kids.
The service was surprisingly good. They offer a WeChat concierge service, and the staff at the front desk, Chinese restaurant, Western restaurant, and housekeeping were all very polite and service-oriented. Notably, the front desk service was significantly better than at the Voco hotel where I stayed for the previous two nights.
As for areas for improvement, the hotel's facilities feel a bit dated; they are certainly not new. Some exterior walls have climbing vegetation, and a few surface tiles are falling off. From the balcony of our luxury sea view suite, a couple of large trees unfortunately obstruct the view. The landscape design could definitely use an update. Inside the room, the blackout was inadequate, and we had to request technical staff to set up a temporary solution. Furthermore, it's a pity that the hotel's pier is abandoned, despite being in an excellent location.
Overall, the hotel boasts an excellent location and a well-designed architectural layout. MMaikezaiqiandaohuxiedaimaThis is my go-to hotel every time I visit. It boasts modern, industrial-chic design with a youthful vibe. The spacious, comfortable rooms offer fantastic lake views that really lift your spirits, and the soundproofing is excellent. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the mattresses are comfortable, and I always get a great night's sleep. Breakfast is excellent, with a wide variety of options; the Qiandao Lake Diaodiaobao is particularly delicious. Nearby, you'll find Beer Town and an Instagram-famous lighthouse lookout. Dining is also very convenient, with several local eateries close by. I highly recommend trying the local farmhouse pork!

This hotel 🏨 is GORGEOUS. Absolutely beautiful. I couldn’t decide which photos to use for my photoshoot because there are so many great pictures. The hotel is perfect for instagram or social media.
The service 👨✈️ was amazing. The staff are very friendly and accommodating to all our needs. The manager went above and beyond to make sure we were happy.
The food 🍱 was delicious! There are many different choices and set options. We especially loved the fried pork.
Negatives: 😕
Location 📍you can’t hike or explore anywhere around this hotel. You are essentially stuck to this property. All activities are at least 30min-2 hour drive away.
Room design 🛏️ I included this in the photos, the bed is on a wooden stand with sharp edges and it’s very easily to run into it and forget it’s there. My bf and I both hit our shins pretty hard on it, it was painful.
Drinks🥂 it was my birthday and I wanted to enjoy some cocktails or champagne with this view, but you are limited to beer 🍺 only. Just bottled Budweiser and Tsingtao.
Overall, I’d stay again if I wanted to relax in peace for the weekend. Bring your own alcohol.
