This is the best place we stayed in during our Sri Lanka trip. The villa only has two guest rooms so it is so quiet and you are sharing the beautiful pool with only 2 other people at the most. The room is perfect, so luxurious, with views out over the lagoon. The food at the restaurant is divine. The villa is a lovely and leisurely hour walk up the beach or quick cheap tuk tuk ride to the main drag of Hikkaduwa. Highly recommend!!!! We will be back.

Invincible super perfect hotel, the most sincere hotel stayed in Sri Lanka itinerary is it! It should be about a year before the new opening. Environmental awareness (which is actually very important in Sri Lanka) is particularly touched, and the butler service is also great! The room will be equipped with a mobile phone and ipad to contact the butler, the butler is very enthusiastic but will not be overly disturbing! The food is delicious too! Full score! Strong & super recommended!

Hikkaduwa Saffron Hotel was the first hotel on our trip, so I took a lot of thoughts when choosing it. Those who like antique hotels, please come, the cabinet bed, Luohan bed desk, meet all your requirements for retro quality, full of ancient flavor. However, modern washing and air-conditioning facilities will not make you feel that life is inconvenient, and we chose the second floor room, which is super large and has a good view. When we wanted to change to a double bed, we added a single bed for free without saying anything, so we had a good rest.
The service of the hotel is very good, we go snorkeling after checking out, and we can go back to the hotel to take a shower.
The disadvantage is that the price is small and expensive.

The hotel is close to the sea and the scenery is very good. The factor of going to the sea view is also the level of home (this sea view, this slip hotel is almost the same)
Poor sound insulation, I doubt if others are trying to open my door

The hotel, to put it mildly, is very tired, the elevator has not been working for a very long time, there is no cleaning in the room, you have to ask to change the towels, if you throw them on the floor this does not guarantee a replacement, they will pick you up, fold them and put them on the bed... During the season, breakfast is a buffet and they are not bad, but in the off-season the breakfasts are very meager... The coffee is simply disgusting, I have never encountered worse anywhere... But all the shortcomings of the hotel are offset by its location! The best beach, beautiful ocean! And you can simply close your eyes to all the shortcomings and enjoy your vacation! By the way, there are only 10 sun loungers in the hotel, keep in mind...

GGuest UserExcellent hotel, we have been to many places and have something to compare with. Breakfasts are great, you choose from the menu and it was included in our stay. Rooms with a beautiful view of the ocean, pool, spa with excellent massage (you need to book a day in advance). There is a Japanese restaurant on the roof with a gorgeous view. Live music from Wednesday to Sunday! We highly recommend this hotel. Friendly and attentive staff. Internet WiFi worked great. The beach is private, sun loungers and towels are provided by the hotel for free, there are waves like almost everywhere in Sri Lanka with small children it may not be very comfortable to swim.

GGuest UserWe liked absolutely everything! Excellent location, the hotel is right on the ocean shore, you can go straight from your room to the beach just in a swimsuit. They keep the room clean and well-equipped. Breakfasts are served individually, there is no buffet. Breakfasts are delicious and filling. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant, we were very pleased with the quality of the food and service. The prices are quite reasonable. I would like to separately note the friendliness of the hotel owners. Always attentive, courteous and ready to provide any assistance without additional payment or price markup.

GGuest UserOverall, I am satisfied. The room facilities are a bit old, but the hotel's location can make up for other shortcomings. The chipmunks jumping around on the lawn are not afraid of people at all. It is best to go early to feed the big turtles because it is a public beach. There will be a lot of tourists around later. Each guest will be issued a bracelet to distinguish hotel guests from other tourists. Let's talk about the problem of bringing children to the hotel. Each room can accommodate three adults. Adults over 12 years old are considered adults. Because I brought a child over 12 years old, I directly chose three people to stay in three breakfasts when booking a room. There is also a child under 12 years old. When checking in, I paid $90 for three days, including the child's extra bed fee and the child's breakfast fee. There are three main restaurants in the hotel, one is for breakfast, and all three meals are buffet. The dinner buffet is more expensive than lunch, but you can get a coupon for a 15% discount. I had a buffet dinner, which was really not good. I also ate at a seafood restaurant. It sounds a bit expensive, but the price-performance ratio is actually OK. There is also an Italian restaurant that I didn't eat at. There are convenience stores and small restaurants on both sides of the hotel, where you can buy cigarettes and alcohol. The highest floor we were given had a large balcony in each room, and there was also something like a patio, which might have been for ventilation and lighting.

The hotel is near the beach, walking only 10 minutes, but it is this that makes it wonderful, for relaxation!
The room is big, clean!

AArran JamieI enjoyed my time at sea front and its proximity to the beach being a 1 minute walk. As I also enjoy walking, it was a 20 minute stroll to turtle beach and amenities. The room was clean with a morning breakfast of toast, jam, eggs and coffie being provided. The hosts were warmly welcoming and I’d stay here again if I was in Hikkaduwa.

I'll start with the good: excellent location, opposite a supermarket, and nearby there are many shops and benches, a gorgeous view from the window of the ocean, decent breakfasts, a clean pool, the staff's willingness to help at any time, delicious dishes to order from the menu, well-groomed territory.
What I didn’t like: the rooms are already tired, they need updating, I lived in room 513. The pool is open until 19.00, which is not at all convenient, because after dinner you also want activity... but there is none)

This was the main selection criterion. The beach at the hotel is “non-swimming”, but with a gorgeous view and located two steps away (to the right) a wonderful turtle beach without waves...).
Right in the center of Hikkaduwa, everything is nearby...cafes, shops.
