This is a very different Radisson as it is housed in a heritage building and comes with a fantastic blend of historic charm and modern luxury. Something not common in the usual Radisson luxury hotels. LOCATION: Excellent location right in the heart of town and opposite one of the most magnificent cathedrals in town DINE + DRINK: Lovely lobby-level bar. And the breakfast is an extensive affair with a wonderful spread of local and international food. ROOM: We stayed in Room 404, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Spectacular views of the Cathedral and town square from the huge windows!; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults and simple baggage; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: Good Radisson branded cosmetics FACILITIES: Compact Gym with a basic range of weights and Cardio machines, good enough for a simple workout. Nothing more. They also have a mini heated pool. SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all our needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high-speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. I can’t brag enough about the wonderful stay we had here. We were greeted every time we walked through the door by Andrew, Vytis, Vytautas and staff. They were so helpful in arranging tours, restaurants and spa times. The room had everything one needs for a vacation: a safe, umbrella, refrigerator, minibar, shower with rain head, double sink, heated floor, comfortable bed, and tv. Also, a wonderful breakfast was included. One could eat the buffet plus order omelets, waffles, or crepes from the menu. The spa was by appointment and one had the pool and sauna privately for an hour. I did my swim and sauna at 7am every morning. Also, make sure you get a massage by Ercan Sōnmez. I have a bulging disc and Ercan made my pain disappear. Plus, my plane ride home was more comfortable than it was on the way here. I would give this property more stars if I could because it truly was incredible. The staff is used to celebrities, politicians and VIP staying here and I was treated like Royalty. Thank you for the marvelous stay!

The hotel and service is fantastic and offers a very elegant feeling stay. Perfect location. The breakfast is amazing, bed comfortable, and staff extremely helpful. In particular, Maxsim (Max) was very helpful with tips about eating and drinking, and also very helpful upon my checkout, retrieving items I had forgotten and finding an area for me to get changed out of my suit. He is a credit to the hotel!

A new hotel in the heart of Vilnius in a very well renovated historical building. Many walls have uncovered historical elements, rooms and corridors are nice, clean and well kept. Staff is worth another paragraph. After spending a few hours in this hotel we started to feel sad that nowadays there are less and less hotels in Europe with such attitude. Every person was very friendly from the beginning. We received a warm welcome and check-in was smooth. Bellboy assisted us with luggage without asking, even though we had only one small suitcase (very nice of him) and provided with all information. The only place I could compare it with, would be Sacher hotel in Vienna, because everyone is always attentive, friendly and it makes guests feel truly welcome. Minibar is very well stocked, with quality drinks, decent wine and snacks. Even though it was opened a few years ago, there are no signs of ageing and obviously the interior is being well taken care of. There is a high class restaurant, bar, spa. Breakfast is very rich and high quality. From gourmet selection of meals to order, to buffet with fresh juices, and (besides traditional breakfast offers) a wide selection of premium foods like smoked eel, dragon fruit, selection of cured meats, beef tongue, Treviso DOC Prosecco, delicious restaurant-made pana cotta and other desserts. Check out was at 12:00 and breakfast on a saturday morgning was also till 12:00. Parking is available in the yard, valet or in the streets around the hotel. Location is very central (near the main square in this part of the city). Building and interior are nice and renovated. High quality shampoo in the bathroom. Yoga mat and some sports equipment in the room. All in all - a true 5* experience, where guests get everything what they need without asking for it.

Good location, right next to the church. Ordered it because it is a chain hotel and chose a balcony room for two nights. It is the best and most expensive hotel in the local Vilnius. Room facilities are ok, but not comparable to domestic Kempinski. But then temporarily need to continue to live another day, the original room can not be renewed and the hotel front desk said it was full. Booked on Ctrip, given it. Thanks to Ctrip. Please note in particular that the hotel gave a triangular attic-like room on the far side, reached out to open the roof skylight, and accidentally met when waking up. Because I only stayed one night, I didn't bother to toss. Please confirm the room type and price with Ctrip and the hotel. The pictures are clearly marked. If you have no special circumstances when booking, please do not book this room type. That's bad. If you run into it, you must jump up and scold it for such a low price / performance ratio.

Holiday Inn Sandton does every top notch! While their restaurant is being renovated they upgraded the view that came with the delicious meals. Rather than relocate the dining room to one of their spacious internal conference rooms, they moved it to offer all diners the ”best seat in the house.” Starting the day with these views was inspiring and energizing. We stayed here for a total of 4 nites, beginning of March, two nites we had booked for some rest before joining a group tour of South Africa and Victoria Falls. Two more nites were included in the tour. We arrived very early on the first day, and our room wasn’t ready (no surprise), so we walked over to the mall via the 6th floor access. (Sandton mall), and had a very nice breakfast/lunch at the cafeteria in the Woolworths. When we returned to the hotel, our room was ready, and a porter brought our bags up right away. The room was of a good size, king size bed was comfortable, bathroom had separate shower and bath, and was nicely decorated. We were totally exhausted after almost 24 hours of travelling, and were fast asleep within minutes. Upon waking, we had a very nice dinner at the hotel’s San restaurant. Breakfast in the morning (included) was amazing- there was a cold buffet spread, and in addition, you could order an a la carte dish from the menu - no going hungry here. Honestly, the only thing i could complain about was how cold the water in the pool was.. Besides the easy access to Santon mall, you can also walk to the Nelson mandela square which flows into the sandton mall, which had quite a selection of restaurants - we ended up eatin 2 very nice dinners there. This would definitely be our hotel of choice, should we ever return to Johannesburg..

Johannesburg is not as safe as Cape Town so you need to put yourself somewhere safe when traveling there. Sandton is a better area and there is a big shopping mall right next to this hotel and you can find everything there including a supermarket, shops, & lot of restaurants if you don't want to eat in the hotel restaurant. They have parking in basement too with metal gate for an additional R55 per night which I found it reasonable. In general, staffs are helpful and nice, great location, great food in the hotel restaurant too. I will definitely stay there again if I would go to Johannesburg again.

The hotel environment is beautiful. I had dinner at the hotel restaurant once before, and I wanted to experience it once. The location of the restaurant is great, the view is expansive, the autumn scenery is beautiful, and the meal is also very good. The room is spacious and comfortable. The room I booked has two balconies with beautiful views on both sides. The attitude of the service staff is very good, and the service is very considerate and meticulous. Very recommended to stay.

The staff are great, very accommodating, and very engaging. They are also very concerned of my safety (they always remind me to take care when going out). Saying that, the location might be challenging for those who are mindful of their safety. I am advised not to leave after dark, even just going to KFC which is just 300 meters away (I appreciate the concern of the staff). No wifi too.

Though the hotel was very nice and comfortable, but it is in an extremely noisy part of town, I hardly slept through the car and people’s noise from the street. The parking is also way too tight with a single entry & exit point, I don’t think they must allow big cars to park there, or rather alert the drivers of the sharp and tight corners before they drive in.

Holiday Inn rosebank hotel is located at the center of rosebank and there is a gautrain station just in front of the hotel entrance and also you can access to the rosebank mall directly from the hotel. The entire team on this hotel was super friendly always willing to welcome the guests with pleasure. Breakfast on the 2nd floor served by variety of food selection of which including a cheese plate and an egg station was just enough to boost energy to start up the day. The food served from the hotel restaurant was with a reasonable price so that I could enjoy delicious food without going out for dinner. I would definitely say that it's worth the money to stay in this place. Although I had a concern about the city Johannesburg before the trip but at least in this rosebank area which was totally safe to hang out and walk around the streets with no stress. I had such a great experience in Johannesburg and willing to come back in the future. Thank you once again to leave this beautiful country with good memories. It's was such a pleasure to stay here.

We stayed 2 nights at the beginning of our South Africa trip. The hotel is easy to get to from the airport as it is right across from the Gautrain station. The building is a modern high-rise. The hotel actually starts from the 3rd floor. Our room on a higher floor had great views. The room was decent sized with good AC and a comfortable bed. The room was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was a good size. The staff were helpful, but the hotel is very busy with business travelers and so it takes a while to get hold of staff. Even though the neighborhood looked safe, the staff insisted on us not walking anywhere. They were very good at getting us taxis or private taxis, when requested. The restaurant was very good with great views and good service. the bar was excellent with outdoor seating and live music on our first night and a DJ on our 2nd night. Overall I would highly recommend.

The location of APM allows you to start your exploration of JoBerg easily. Staff: 5/5 The African Pride Melrose Arch Hotel (APM) staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. They made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Welcome drinks, smiles, professionalism, and a great source for local information. All staff members were amazing. Special acknowledgments to Pretty and Mr. D!!! Also, a special shout-out to the lady who delivered the birthday gift to our room. Sorry, we never exchanged names! You know who you are! 😊 Staff makes your hotel; somehow, The African Pride got it right with their entire team. Hotel Room: 4/5 The rooms at the hotel are spacious and beautifully appointed. Conclusion: 4.75/5 I highly recommend the African Pride Melrose Arch Hotel to anyone looking for a luxurious and convenient stay in Johannesburg. You will surely enjoy your stay while you visit JoBerg. Things to be aware of: Power issues plague the entire country. Places like African Pride have backup generators to assist with making your experience more enjoyable. When you have temporary blackouts, it is because the generator is assisting to maintain power to the entire building. Anyone who blames APM for power issues should be more aware of the countries they visit. APM doesn’t appear to have a fitness Gym on site, but you have access to a nearby gym, which is from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., I believe ( I could be wrong). Go to the front desk. Everything about our stay was amazing, the location, the staff and the food and who can forget the Grown up milkshakes. Thank you Raymond. The hotel has a great location with a shopping precinct on it's doorstep, multiple cafés and restaurants within minutes. Also the Joburg hop on hop off bus, stops just outside the hotel. A very comfortable stay, I just wish we had longer. I would definitely recommend this hotel too friends and family. In fact I have. I hope too return soon but in the meantime I would like to thank all of the staff at the hotel for for a lovely stay and a fantastic birthday. I stayed at the Melville Turret for 9 days, alone, split between work and vacation. Everything went very well, and I highly recommend this Guesthouse with its welcoming, friendly, warm and smiling staff, always available to meet any need. I had initially booked a room for only 5 days, I had no problem extending this stay directly on site. The rooms are clean and well appointed, as are the collective areas. Very pretty interior courtyard. Breakfast is generously prepared by Prisca, incredibly kind and with whom it is very easy to exchange and share (I miss your smile :) ). The street and the neighborhood are calm and safe, we are close (10 min walk) to activities / bars / restaurants on 7th. I could not have asked for better for a first experience in Johannesburg. Noisy neighbours at 23:30 and 04:30 not good - despite having the call management to deal with it - hey didn't. Never going back there and definitely cannot recommned. Best service from William our shuttle driver - an amazing representative. Relief shuttle driver - had the most shocking unco-operative attitude. The staff very friendly, but that doesn't negate the experience.

Disliked: I honestly feel like the pictures posted on Bookings.Com are a total misrepresentation of what one walks into. We walked into an apartment that looked empty. The lounge area to be precise looked like our furniture was repossessed or we were new tenants waiting for furniture to be delivered. It looked cold and unwelcoming. The pictures on the other hand showed a fully furnished apartment with carpets and or a table in the middle of the lounge. 90% of the TV channels gave error 48-32, and the channels that play without a problem are kids channels. Apparently, the area has signal problems. The cutlery and crockery was a joke, 1 eating fork, 1 spoon, 2 steak forks, 2 teaspoons, 3 butter knives, no bread knife or chopping knives. 4 pots, only 2 of those pots have lids. Only 1 small serving dish, the other one had no lid. When we checked in, we had to pay R200 damage fees, which we were aware of, however, no one walked us to our room for an inspection, despite having paid the damage fee.....when we got to our room, the kettle lid was broken, the cabinet door on the island was broken... The accommodation is located on Grayston drive. It's a busy street, so obviously, there are no silent nights. So if you are hoping for a quiet day or night l, this won't be a place for you. The same night we checked in, we wanted to cancel our reservation and book somewhere else. Unfortunately for us when we went to reception, the reception was closed and we couldn't be assisted. for a place located in Sandton I had high expectations and they were definitely not met.

I can see that this was a great place to stay in its heyday but has declined over time. Positives are it’s location, friendly and accommodating staff (which one would expect in the hospitality industry) and a reasonable price. Negatives that I experienced were that the place was well worn, tired and in need of some investment. Examples are, worn carpets, hole in the dining room table cloth, frayed bath towels, basin not draining quickly due to matted hair in the strainer (fixed same day), broken suitcase rack (fixed same day), evidence of a dampness problem in the plaster on the wall near the window, extractor fan in the bathroom is dark brown with years of dust on the grill in the ceiling, no Barman on duty - was served by reception staff though. Apart from a buffet breakfast there are no meal facilities at all, not even for a light snack. I have to wonder whether this is actually a hotel or just a conference venue with accommodation. If it is indeed a hotel then this is definitely not the four star establishment despite having four stars next to their name on their website. Would I stay here again? Possibly, but only because it’s convenient & I know what to expect.

The check in process was very simple with super friendly staff. One guy stood out for me his name is ”Essential” he went out of his way to ensure that our stay was comfortable. The rooms were fairly clean and had a nice mini bar fridge. The downside was that they didn't have microwave ovens in the rooms, Essential sorted us out through the restaurant. The wifi login tends to be troublesome, I'd prefer they improve on that or find a simpler way to secure it and still allow flawless connecting.

I spent two weeks at the Piazza Hotel Monte****** for business, and it was amazing from beginning to end! Starting with Sipho, the taxi driver who fetched me from the airport and took me to the hotel (and helped with daily transport to site) - he was a gem! Always on time, efficient and friendly. I strongly recommend his services. My room was always spotless, breakfast was great and so was the room service - the best soups and sandwiches I've ever had. The staff were so welcoming, helpful and always friendly. Being within the Monte****** complex provided us with endless dinner choices - we didn't have one bad meal. I would highly recommend the Piazza Hotel.
