I've stayed at this hotel chain in London before and was quite satisfied, so I chose them again for my last two days in Dublin. Although it's not in the city center, the transportation is pretty convenient. Bus routes G1 and G2 go directly to the city center and the train station. I particularly love their beds; the firmness is just right, and I slept very comfortably.

Great location in Dublin city centre. Beautiful lobby and public areas. Nice food in the bar and a good selection for breakfast. I always stay here when in Dublin.

Had a great stay at this hotel. The property was clean and well-maintained, and the location was excellent. The staff were absolutely lovely, welcoming, and always ready to help. My only minor complaint is about the cleaning: the floor wasn't really clean; it felt like it hadn't been mopped. Another point to note is that the amenities provided are quite basic. There were towels and shower gel, but no toothbrush, slippers, cotton swabs, or other small touches that you sometimes find in some hotels. Aside from these details, everything else was perfect, and I recommend this hotel.

The most satisfying hotel on this trip so far. The location is excellent, the city walk is not stressful, there are many restaurants and supermarkets around and around; the hotel provides free coffee and bottled water every day, and there are more reasonable choices for the bar; The room style is classical and the layout is reasonable and human, but it is more mindful that there is no refrigerator as a 4-star hotel. If you want to buy some salad yogurt and other foods, it is impossible.

The Merrion is a Hallmark of service and sheer quality. We arrived to be greeted by a friendly concierge and the news that our room had been upgraded to a junior suite. Lunch in the Cellar bar was an absolute joy and friendly, well clued in staff made the experience more special. The room was fabulous, with every comfort you could imagine. The bed was so comfortable, as were the couches.I cannot speak too highly about the service at this wonderful hotel.

The hotel rooms are spacious and clean, the beds are comfortable, and the soundproofing is excellent, allowing for a peaceful rest. Some guests mentioned that the room design is stylish and full of character. Although some rooms are smaller, the overall comfort is still satisfactory.

I only realized this hotel didn't have air conditioning right before my trip, but thankfully, it turned out not to be an issue. There was a fan in the room, but I didn't even need to turn it on – temperatures dropped to about 10-15 degrees Celsius at night in August, so the lack of AC didn't affect my comfort at all. The hotel entrance is small, located next to a bar, and I had to check the building number on the map to find it. The elevator was out of order, so I had to carry my luggage up the stairs, but staff assistance was available if needed. It felt like an old apartment building, but the room was spacious enough. You could occasionally hear music from the bar downstairs, but it was faint and not disruptive. It's very close to the airport shuttle stop, but I overlooked that the supermarket next to the hotel didn't sell bread, and bakeries closed by 8 or 9 PM. Luckily, there was a McDonald's on the way to the shuttle stop the next morning to grab breakfast. The hotel is very close to the city center, Trinity College, and the bar street isn't far either. The front desk guy was also very friendly, and the room was quite comfortable.

Really happy with this hotel. Booked it last minute when I was late for my ferry and did not want to travel during the night. The room was really clean and tidy. Receptionist Mauricio (?) was very pleasant and helpful. As I was not planning to stay in Dublin overnight, I had no toothbrush. I did not think that Travelodge can provide one, but there is no shame in asking. Hooray! I got a disposable dental kit, that really made my stay much more comfortable. The hotel has a bar and a restaurant, it does look much more posh that an average travelodge. I wanted some ice for my drink at the room. Got a glass full of ice at the bar with no problem. The only downside could be if you are a couple and travelling with 2 or more large suitcases. The room is on a smaller side. Very happy with my last minute decision to stay at this hotel.

Me and my friend had a lovely stay at the College Green Hotel in Dublin. The location is excellent, right in the city center and within easy walking distance of many attractions, shops, and restaurants. The breakfast was very good with a nice selection, and it was a great way to start the day. What really stood out was the staff — everyone was extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made the stay feel even more pleasant. The hotel was very clean and quiet, so we slept well, and I really liked the cute, stylish decor, which gave the place a cozy and charming atmosphere. Overall, a great experience, and I would definitely stay here again when visiting Dublin.

Frustrating Experience: Reservation Confusion Rating: My recent stay was marred by an incredibly unprofessional check-in experience. Despite having a fully prepaid reservation, the front desk staff had absolutely no record of my booking upon arrival. Instead of efficiently resolving the issue, the staff repeatedly insisted that I pay for the room again, despite my clear explanation and proof of prior payment. It was frustrating and exhausting to have to argue my case after a long journey. While the property may have potential, the lack of organization and poor customer service at the front desk completely soured the experience. I would strongly advise confirming your reservation multiple times before arrival or choosing a more reliable establishment.
