This was our second time at this hotel and we stayed for almost a week. You can't beat the location on George Street, right downtown, close to shops and restaurants. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms and bathrooms are very nice. The king bed had a good mattress and pillows. There is a safe. They seem to have made upgrades since our last pre-covid stay, including air-conditioning in (all?) rooms. As you would expect in a big city, the rooms are quite small and the hotel is not exactly quiet; also depending on where your room faces. We were right by the elevator, which I generally don't like. I wonder if it's because we booked through our credit card and not direct. It seems there is sometimes a ”penalty'. The rooms are supplied daily with water, delicious cookies and snacks. You can make individual cups of drip coffee in a filter, which is much better than instant coffee but not as good as a Nespresso, IMHO. We had breakfast included and the Printing Press is just wonderful, for breakfast, any meal and later evening cocktails and whiskey. The Burr & Co is a coffee shop, also right next door, with tables outside. Love that place. The hotel has great service. We lost a suitcase and got daily support in checking on the status and changing the address on the delivery. There seemed to be a shortage on hair conditioner and we didn't have a sign for do-not-disturb the first day and got woken at 8 AM, but that didn't spoil our enjoyment of the hotel stay. We expect to be back.

The mattress was so bad, it wasn't a matter of softness or firmness, but the feeling of sleeping on springs, and I managed to resist it after sleeping for three days. No hair dryer, no hair dryer, no hair dryer. Borrowed three times and said no more. The location is good, there is a supermarket when you go out, there is a tram at the airport, and it takes about 15 minutes to walk to the city center. The front desk is also friendly. The communal kitchen is also clean and hygienic. The toilet feels good but has a urine smell all the time. . .

Good value for money and excellent location in Edinburgh. Our flat was spacious and comfortable for a three-day stay. With each bedroom being en suite we all had comfortable sleeping and living arrangements. The kitchen was well appointed and the reception desk even gave us shampoo and dishwasher soap tablets. As it was warm, they also made fans available at no cost to anyone who wanted one. We travel to Edinburgh every summer. We absolutely plan to return to Destiny Murano next July.
Park View House

Stayed at Park View for two nights recently, it was a lovely stay. It’s important to remember older reviews were when the hotel was under a different management then and things take time to make changes. It’s important to manage your expectations, the hotel isn’t manned, instructions for keys ect are sent and very easy to follow . Think of it as more a self contained accommodation where if needed you have emergency contacts to call. Our stay was in a lovely room, very clean and warm and with plenty of clean towels and extra tea/coffee left out for replenishments.
The Sandaig

My husband and I have just enjoyed a 2 night stay at The Sandaig. The welcome we received from Luke was without a doubt the most hospitable we have ever received. He showed us to our beautiful room, which overlooked the park, he then brought us a tray of coffee along with croissants and shortbread. He provided umbrellas, as we’d left ours at home, and advised us regarding buses, etc. Our bedroom and bathroom were both spotlessly clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Such a shame breakfast wasn’t available because I’m sure Luke would have made that a memorable experience also ! We didn’t see Luke again but a lovely lady checked us out and gave us chocolate croissants for the journey home. Thankyou for a lovely stay.

Although it is a bit far from the city center, tram is very convenient! Next to it is the Spanish Visa Center. If you are coming from Scotland to apply for a visa, you can stay here for a while if you are not in a hurry to return~ The boss was super nice and even checked us in early when we arrived early. The food and drinks prepared are all delicious! The environment is super cozy 🥲I love it! ! If you need to stay in Aibo next time, you will stay here again! !

To start, the athstices of this hotel are beautiful, not only did the human poo add a beautiful display to the bed sheets but the smell had a beautiful aroma that made me feel like I was back at home. The people in this area are fantastic, a good example of this is the man at leith links who offered me (a hit) on his pipe (I did not ask what was in it), another great example of the kindness is the leith academy pupil who offered to give me a “bat” because “it sounds like your asking for it ya fenien” I was unsure weather he meant a pet bat or a bat to hit balls with like in rugby, so I kindly rejected his offer. Back to the hotel, the hotel assistant who offered to “give me hands” was very nice, I asked if he knew what a “chav” was and he gave me the offer, he never got back to me with the information I was looking for. On my way out back to the airport a young adult asked me if he could borrow my phone sp he could phone his mum, as soon as I pulled it out to give it to him and he snatched it and ran away, I hope his mum is ok.
