The hotel is located on the banks of the Arno River. The main entrance of the hotel is directly opposite the French consulate. There is a small square in front of the hotel. You can temporarily park your car temporarily and open small markets on weekends. Five minutes walk along the river bank is Uffizi Gallery, Old Bridge! The window opened in the room is directly opposite the Baihua Cathedral, Giotto's Bell Tower, and the church can be opened to the full view of the church. The left hand old bridge and the right hand Holy Trinity Bridge, the view is excellent! The bedding is comfortable, the room area is relatively large in Italy, classical and luxurious. The only dissatisfaction was that the booking fee was clearly the money for the river view room, but the front desk said that the reservation was only for a superior room. But polite and old-fashioned at the same time, because I emphasized that if it was n’t for the river view room, there would be no meaning to live here. The front desk said that I was sorry the room was full, and I could upgrade to the river view room on the balcony of the administrative floor if I added 200 euros. After expressing dissatisfaction, I asked to wait at the front desk for a while, but also forced them to check the room again, and finally got this river-view room without replenishment! I don't know if this is the case, it is Ctrip or the hotel routine.

I arrived with my septuagenarian parents on April 27 for a week-long stay. The hotel provided us with the right room classification on arrival, but I was concerned that the suite was single bathroom instead of two and the closet space was not optimal for our needs. Annamaria, Victoria and Samuele stand out as front office staff who listened and acted swiftly to help address our request for help and resolved the issue the next day. That was the first wow moment of our stay. I also recommend the breakfast (came with our reservation package) and you should take advantage of the Rooftop Bar, the view of the Duomo and across the city 360 degress is suberb. After 10+ visits to Florence, this hotel has become my new preferred location and I anticipate returning here in the years to come.

This is a wonderful stay and great help from the concierge when planning our trip. This hotel was fantastic. This was a small hotel that offers so much to its guests. We stayed here for 6 days, so we booked a suite. The room was great with plenty of room to sleep and sit, as well as great closet space and a nice bathroom. The concierge was great. The concierge assisted us with travel plans, arranging a great tour guide, and making great recommendations for dinner. Breakfast each day was great with good choices and wonderful service. We were in a great location - close to the train station and the Duomo. We enjoyed playing billiards and having a drink at the bar in the evening. This will be the hotel we will book when we return to Florence. Everything was superb.

I arrived early and the offered to store my luggage at the reception and they delivered to my room, that’s nice. There was no briefing on the breakfast arrangements at check in, they assume bay you know. My room is an end unit with a single bed, which is good for me, the bathroom is pleasantly big, and I do enjoyed the bath. Shower is good too with good water pressure. I found a pair of slippers inside the drawer of the bedside table instead of in the closet, they are comfortable. The whole 3 nights I stayed without Wi-Fi, they couldn’t fix it! The electric outlet has three holes so you need to bring the specific adapter as there no usb port to charge gadgets. I changed mine in the bathroom as my two pint adapters worked there. No kettle in the room but they kindly delivered some hot water to my room when I requested. The second night they told me to go downstairs to get it. TV has international news channels except CNN but that’s ok for me. Lifts are efficient.

This is a lovely, clean hotel with good facilities and location and an excellent breakfast. It has a very traditional decor, with a modern bathroom. Our room was pleasant enough but the window faced a wall and had huge shutters which we couldn't open. Hence, there was hardly any natural light in the room. I also found the staff a bit unfriendly, especially at the reception desk. There was no greeting if you walked past, and they did seem slightly condescending - not the usual friendliness you would expect on a reception desk. The staff at breakfast were much nicer. I liked this hotel, but a little friendliness and a smile go a long way and would have enhanced our stay.

This is a family hotel and the protagonist is Uncle Scala. The hotel is located on the second floor of a historic building, 10 minutes walk from the train station and less than 10 minutes from the city centre. Many attractions are within walking distance of the hotel and are very convenient to visit. The hotel is fully equipped and advanced, with elevators, air conditioners, GPS mobile phones, free Wifi, door locks, etc. It feels like a local person coming home. The indoor bedding and bathroom are very clean. Uncle Scala is very enthusiastic, cooking is great, breakfast is done by him, and dinner can be booked. He will buy fresh ingredients for 15 euros per person, and is officially dinner, at least 25~30 euros outside. This is my 4 day comparison in Florence (don't say pizza or burger, that's not dinner). Uncle Scala is like an old man waiting for you to go home for dinner. When you come back, I am happy to see you have fun. This is the warmest day in Italy!

We spent 3 night in 3 different cities on our trip. This was our favorite hotel on our trip. Beds were super comfy and the place was very clean. The staff went above and beyond for us as we asked for recommendations for restaurants and they made reservations for us and sent us text messages once they were confirmed. The best part about this place is the courtyard. Gorgeous. We would grab a drink at the bar and then go out to the courtyard to enjoy it. There is a hot tub out there as well but we did not use it. Bartenders were all very friendly. The location is perfect. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle but more than close enough to walk to everything, which we did. No need for public transportation to get to and from the hotel. High recommend!

Despite leaving early morning after our two night stay, the breakfast room opened earlier than advertised to accommodate us and others leaving early. Staff were attentive and welcoming. Would certainly stay here again. Florence is great but you need to book ahead for places like the Uffizzi, the Duomo, the Tower etc. We went to Santa Croce (as we hadn’t booked ahead!) which is a must visit however (having been many times before), the Leather School at Santa Croce seems to aim its products at rich visitors now.

I think this hotel deserves a higher rating. The hotel is actually connected to the nearby Santa Maria novella (one of the oldest large monasteries in Florence). The location is not to be said, so every morning I hear the monastery ringing the bell, the window is also the roof of the monastery, thick medieval wind. The interior also uses very old furniture, the bathroom is spacious, there is a tub, hot water, and heating, but the old building has the common disadvantage of poor sound insulation. The layout in the hallway is between classical and modern, and local guides in Chinese can be found in the hallway. I have set up a single room, but it seems to give a double room with enough space. The double bed is made up of two single beds, and the gap is obvious. A little bit awkward. The sanitation is good, and there are slippers and toiletries. The electric kettle needs to be with the front desk. After a while, the waiter will bring the tea bag and the tea cup together. And all the staff are very friendly and thank you very much. Especially the waiter in the restaurant looked very happy every day:) Breakfast is not so rich. But as breakfast is absolutely enough, pie, croissant whole wheat bread, white bread, ham, yogurt, a lot, this price is not yet If you are satisfied, it is best to book a famous five-star hotel... It is very close to Santa Maria del Fiore and San Lorenzo. The third picture is whether the view of the toilet is cool!

The hotel is a 3-minute walk from the hotel in Florence Train Station. The owner is enthusiastic and also recommends a restaurant called Ostaria which is very good. I ate European authentic steak there, which is completely different from domestic.
