The hotel staff were great, friendly and helpful. The hotel itself reminded me more of a motel, so I was not happy to have paid $120/night. It should have more been in the $89-$99 range. The area it was located didn't feel the safest (ie, I wouldn't have wanted to take a walk around after dark). The room itself was worn. It was clean and no bugs, but the safety lock on the door was missing a screw (which made it not as safe), the bathroom towel rack was separating from the wall, the door ran for a LONG time after you flushed it. There was a stain on the wall near the desk as if someone had thrown a pot of coffee against the wall. It was cleaned up but still evident. Interestingly, the desk assistant said there was a charge of $200 for smoking because it was a non-smoking hotel, but my room smelled of smoke (like it was in the carpet) and I smelled **** the second day I was there. The hotel was quiet - no people milling about outside or noise in the hallway (and my room was quite close to the elevators).

Had some issues with the check in process, the room wasn’t cleaned for 3 days despite no sign on the door and a request to do this. Other than this we’ve had a comfortable stay. It’s close to amenities and the rooms are comfortable.

This is my favorite hotel when I’m traveling. I have family in North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida and this is always my pit stop traveling to and from Maryland. YES… the bed and pillows are heavenly soft. YES…the rooms and bathrooms are clean. But what sets them apart is the EXCEPTIONAL customer service they have. I have great conversations with everyone!!! I always catch Ms Barbara (Babs) during the overnight shift. This time I was driving at night and it was dark, cold, and rainy. Ms Barbara’s warm welcome and great conversation made me feel like I was already home. I didn’t get a chance to get breakfast this time and I was upset at myself because breakfast is soooo good. Like so so so good. One time I was there and breakfast was over but Ms. Leanne was sooo sweet and made me eggs, bacon, and maple smoked sausage and told me to make a pumpkin spice waffle. I didn’t even ask, she insisted she gets me something to eat Today during check out, the front desk rep, Sandra and Jamie must have sensed I didn’t get breakfast and kindly gave me a to go bag with an apple and a bagel plus great conversation. I honestly didn’t want to leave I love this place. Sorry for the long review.
