During my recent trip to the coastal city, I had the pleasure of staying at The Oceanview Resort, a hidden gem that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I knew I was in for a special experience. The resort offers a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and exceptional service, making it an ideal choice for both relaxation and adventure. Location and Ambiance The first thing that struck me about The Oceanview Resort was its stunning location. The on-site spa offered a range of rejuvenating treatments, and I indulged in a relaxing massage that left me feeling completely refreshed. I had the pleasure of enjoying dinner at the beachfront restaurant, where I was treated to a delectable array of local seafood and international dishes. The fresh catch of the day was prepared to perfection, and the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations and making sure every detail of my dining experience was flawless. For breakfast, the resort’s buffet offered a wide range of options, from freshly baked pastries and tropical fruits to hot dishes made to order. The morning view of the sun rising over the ocean while sipping a cup of freshly brewed coffee was the perfect start to each day. Customer Service One of the standout features of The Oceanview Resort is its exceptional customer service. From the moment I checked in, I felt like a valued guest. The staff went out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable, offering personalized recommendations and accommodating special requests without hesitation. They truly made me feel at home, which added a personal touch to my experience. Spacious room with comfortable bed, with a separate bath & shower, the whole bathroom is almost the same size as the bedroom. Basic amenities provided. Strategic location with complimentary outdoor parking for in-house guest. Basic breakfast options.

Strategic place in Georgetown, nearby to most of the famous foods. Walking distance. Nearby, 5 minutes walk is a night market selling char kuey teow, satay, chicken wings and many more. Hotel is clean, staffs are friendly, able to assist in all our queries. Parking is free, just get the waiver ticket from the lobby counter. Overall great experience.

Thanks to the friendly staff especially Adeline respond fast and fulfilled my request on birthday decorations. Things need to improve is the room musty smell, gym room out of order and limited parking. Pleasant stay due to room is big and friendly staff.

Pros - Friendly staff - Housekeeping is good - Convenient location (beside a mall and near popular attractions like Komtar Tower) - Comfortable rooms (can get connecting) - Breakfast is good (esp egg station and bread) - Gym is quite complete - Decent pool Cons - Wifi not secure (no password needed) Overall - One of the best hotels we have stayed in. Will come back again.

The suite we stayed in was located at the building next to the one where the hotel lobby is. We stayed on the 7th floor but could hear the sound from the street loud and clear. Not advisable if you have babies with you. The wifi was not reliable too. The utensils and kitchenware are available upon request. There is a microwave, small fridge and coffee machine in the kitchenette.

Parking was very convenient, they will validate for u and ure able to use in n out multiple times. The location is just right opposite hin bus depot, and behind there is quite a number of famous hawker - presgrave Street. The check in was also seamless. Coway machine outside for unlimited refill. Only thing for me is the vibe when I walk into the lobby, and the vibe of the room. I would say basic and old school, nth less nth more. Ure getting exactly what you paid, goid value. lift lobby security can be better as well so not everyone can go up easily.

Stayed here one night in family suites with 2 rooms with my 2 kids, the hotel is not far from Komtar penang. Parking is not an issue even for our MPV, their rotating car park with escalator can move the car into empty slot. Check-in is fast and we stayed at level 19th with nice city and some ocean view. Room is very big with a living room, master room with big washroom and changing cabinet, and another connecting room. Wifi is fast and there are 19 tv channels to choose from. Next morning we went for their gym at level 22, not very big but good enough with 5-6 workout machines. Breakfast is at level 21 buffet styles, choice is just nice, not many but food is ok with reasonable price, only RM21 per pax.

Thé hôtel is superb. It provides everything that I need. On top of that the view us wonderful and we share the same view as E&O at a fraction of E&O’s price. I can even see the fireworks on sat 23/11 and sun 24/11 during the Penang international dragon boat Regatta from the 18th floor. So awesome

St Giles Wembly is a great hotel to stay in. I stayed for 3 nights and it felt like home. Sheets and bed were soft and comfortable, floor and furnishing were kept clean after housekeeping cleaned, and the lifts come really quickly. I also loved how the front desk and the staffs were always very welcoming and warm, making every interaction like speaking to a friend. While the hotel looked old, furnishings are very well maintained. For instance, the ventilation in the toilet was so good that the floor dries after a few hours. My only gripe is that while the water pressure is strong, the hot water doesn't come immediately, instead it takes a good 5 mins of running water before I get some form of warm / lukewarm water. The waiting time does get longer after midnight, where the water is just ice cold. Weirdly, the bath tub water gets warm faster than the shower? Which was kind of weird. I also had the opportunity to try the breakfast buffet. While I saw plenty of reviews commending that the breakfast is good, I believe it was sufficient for a local taste, and provided enough quantity. However, the buffet setup was quite cramp and unevenly spaced. The hotel also hosts a bar on the roof, which had a nice view of the city. I ordered a Guinness Stout and got the server to pour for me. I ended up getting a flat stout 🫠🫠🫠. Nevertheless, my stay at St Giles has been great, and I would love to return in the near future.
