Aiola Living Graz

Dear Aiola Living team! We spent three nights at your hotel last weekend. The rooms, bar and the entire house are very tastefully decorated in the well-known Aiola style. In addition to a great, but still clear selection at the breakfast buffet, we also felt very well served by the staff. We were particularly pleasantly surprised by Mrs. Doris Ramminger, the managing director. The fact that good management and good employees are mutually dependent is clearly evident here. Thank you for the pleasant stay, we would love to come back!

DEUTSCH Enttäuschender Umgang mit Stammgästen – wir kommen nicht wieder Mein Mann und ich sind beruflich alle zwei Wochen in Graz und waren bereits mehrfach im Aiola Living. Nach einem reibungslosen Aufenthalt buchte ich direkt vor Ort zwei weitere – inklusive bestätigter Kreditkarte. Trotzdem wurde unsere nächste Buchung während eines verlängerten Wochenendes (Feiertag) storniert – angeblich wegen fehlender Zahlungsdaten. Das wäre noch zu verschmerzen gewesen – aber wie man mit uns umgegangen ist, war schlicht respektlos. Am Telefon wurde mein Mann in einem unfreundlichen Ton abgespeist, mit Kommentaren wie: „Nicht jeder hat Urlaub“. Am Ende wurden beide Buchungen einfach gestrichen, weil wir uns „nicht schnell genug entschieden“ hätten – mit der Aussage, dass man uns in Zukunft nicht mehr als Gäste begrüßen werde. Ein Problem, das sich in zwei Minuten freundlich hätte lösen lassen, wurde zum Anlass, uns loszuwerden. Sehr enttäuschend. Für ein Hotel mit diesem Anspruch absolut unprofessionell. Wir kommen sicher nicht wieder. ENGLISH Disappointing treatment of regular guests – we won’t be back My husband and I travel to Graz every two weeks for work and have stayed at Aiola Living several times. After a smooth and pleasant stay, I personally booked two more visits directly at the hotel – including providing our credit card details. To our surprise, our next booking was cancelled during a public holiday weekend – allegedly due to missing payment details, even though the card had already been confirmed in person. The real disappointment, however, was how the situation was handled: My husband called after the weekend and was treated in a very unfriendly tone. He was told, “Not everyone is on holiday,” and both bookings were cancelled simply because we “didn’t decide fast enough” – ending with the statement that we were no longer welcome as guests. A simple issue that could’ve been resolved in two minutes was turned into a reason to dismiss us. Extremely unprofessional for a hotel that positions itself as high-end. We won’t be returning.
