I booked a room with Ctrip. I thought it was an old hotel after reading the reviews, but I was surprised when I came in. The room environment is very good, the facilities are not old, it is quiet, it is close to the duty-free shop, and it feels very safe next to the provincial government. This was a very bad experience. Check-in at noon told the front desk that because of maintenance, there will be hot water around 4:30 in the afternoon. I just entered the room and turned on the air conditioner. There was no electricity. After I hung up the phone twice, I sent someone to check. The card was broken and I couldn't get electricity. Then the amount of water was very small. The front desk sent someone to deal with it twice, and the treatment was normal. Then, when the hot water reached 5 o'clock, it hadn't come yet, and it was 6 o'clock. When asked about the situation later, it was slow. It was hot, but I didn’t wait for it all night. I got up the next morning and there was no hot water after 8 o’clock. I informed the front desk that there was no hot water in my room to change the room. I didn’t take a shower all day and night on a hot day. I was in a bad mood. Yes, when I came back from breakfast, I found hot water came on, and it was the check-out time.

The place is at the great location of Haikou, on the old street. You can find anything you want there. It is close to the electric bicycles if you want to cycle somewhere. The place is also accessible by car. The rooms were clean, the toilets either. There were shower appliances too. There is a coffee shop downstairs with multiple seats and electric plugs if you need to work. In the evening, the bar is opened with live music. The only downside was maybe the tenants who liked to listen to the Tiktok music or watch videos loud. But, compared to other places I went in China, it was a very minor issue. Recommend to everyone!

I was shocked when a room service staff flung opened my door (my 2nd day)when I was changing to go out. My door was locked from inside, the Do not disturb was on but the staff opened the door without even warning. I was in my underwear, she, claimed she did not see the sign.. I was so shocked ,the door was locked from inside. I didnt know service staff could just opened Guest rooms at her own discretion, voice my displeasure to the Manager on my way out but she did get back to me after claiming her staff opened my door even though my Do not disturb was on, sbecause Guests sometimes press that button wrongly. I am really disappointed with their approach. The room service staff wasn't really apologetic and insisted she didn't see the Do not disturb sign! She should have made very sure before opening my door with her set of keys. Imagine the worst, if it was a couple in room and she just flung opened the door!

After an unsatisfactory homestay for one night, we're back to this hotel due to its prime location and attentive staffs. We took the photo shootings and it's great experience. Very good stylish and photographer. We stayed for another 4 nights this time and discovered the small and beautiful garden on the 4th floor. Floor can be cleaner as we are not wearing shoes in the room. The sand in the room should be covered. Great experience overall.
