The room was fine but near the hotel is scary. Breakfast is good but coffee is a disaster- sweet and with milk ..

No flights available, so I had to stay one night near the airport. There are plenty of dining options outside.

This hotel is very close to the airport, just a four-minute drive away. Getting to the city center takes about 40-50 minutes. There's a great Vietnamese beef pho place nearby and an excellent massage parlor behind the hotel, making it perfect for a layover. The lobby was quite hot with only fans, and the front desk staff only spoke basic English. They can arrange airport transfers for 100k VND.

How can I possibly expect that the gates of hell burn less hard as the moment when I've entered it. How can I have fooled myself expecting a different approach. First of all I need to say that the hotel is absolutely not clean and the cleaning staff is not even responsible for that. The ladies work hard, but there are not enough cleaning professionals to cover daily check-inns and outs. So, this is the "personal" touch of the review. I went out for a grocery store and went into a pharmacy to get mouth masks. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and forgot that I've putted the room card in the same back pocket. It fell out and when I stumbled upon my room, I started to acknowledge it was gone. Went down to the reception to ask for a new card and realized I saw the door guy passing me by when I walked back. His sinister laughing became clearer and clearer.... "Sir, we can give you a new card, but you have to pay me". The sinisterly laugh coming from the grain on his face. Pay you? I will pay by card if that's okay. It was obvious that the card that was laying on the floor of the hotel room was from Grand Dragon Hotel. But never mind. When I wanted to check out, the following receptionist wanted to make me pay two times for that paper card. See pictures. I just walked away laughing out loud, but still felt flabbergasted. So here's my review about the accommodation. The room was exactly as on the pictures here on trip.com. 100% spot on. But, and it's a major big butt. Just kidding. The path towards the room was more like a filthy lesson to never come back again. The smell of urine in the hallway due to gasses and humidity was incomprehensible. NOT the fault of the cleaning staff, because they don't have the time. maybe the lazy and unfriendly door dude can move his as a bit more to show his dignity towards the hard working people, at least. Staring in that scattered and scorched SM device all day waiting for a backpack to pick up and put at the reception desk. The room was not very pleasant because of an extreme vibrating thing coming in from the elevator shaft. Way to much. It really builds up atmospheric pressure. Unpleasant, but the way how the staff treated me at night was more like a invitation to fully put a racist tirade on me, with threats to call the police when I urgently asked the dude to stop scratching his head and losing his hair from all the dirt he just collected into it. I wear a mouth mask starting from yesterday to protect myself from all the disgust that approaches me purposely. that this happens on the streets is a political thing, but that staff members start to feel free to copy this in a professional environment is simply too much. So yes, please call the police. Maybe they will assist me. They wont was the message I've just gotten at the airport when I was wrapping my backpack in plastic (Just for my safety)by waving his baseball bat around from side to side. Not the Dragons fault, but there where I leave today i want this also to be mentioned. The shower was very pleasant. I also want to say to other travelers, who search for a close-by-the-airport, that the sound of the airplanes was absolutely doable. You hear them, but it just didn't disturb me. 100% spot on. I wasn't even interested in the option for a breakfast. It all was too much. I just didn't feel safe. But it doesn't mean that you won't feel safe there. That's why I won't smack down the overall score of the accommodation, but do my best to expose what happened and what other travelers might expect and receive. I loved the little maintenance I did on the plant that was fighting for its life. I little bit of water and air circulation in its soil, and the plant is a happy camper again. But still I like to thank to people with the good meaning towards me. It is a fine accommodation and offers its convenience for people who fly. Namaste.

On a business trip to Vietnam, I stayed one night near Hanoi Airport. The hotel was very close to the airport, and the room was clean. It offered good value for money, and breakfast was included, though I didn't have time to eat it due to an early departure.
