Hotel Zur Post

The hotel is in an excellent location, 20 minutes walking distance from the Railway Station, which is opposite to where coaches from, for example, Stuttgart airport stop. The walk is comfortable, through the city centre through the mean shopping area, with plenty of bars, shops and supermarkets. The rooms are very nice and refurnished with a very comfortable bed and bathroom with shower. The chair to work is very comfortable, and the furniture is robust. It is a quiet area where you have a good rest. Very clean. Breakfast is continental, a little of everything, with a great variety of bread. The staff are very kind and helpful, and care about their guests and look after them. Even the third member of staff-Mr dog- did not move from his basket in the main office. You did not notice it was there. They accommodated all my needs even without asking them. Also, compliment guests with a bottle of water. The rooms have the necessary furniture, not overloaded, which makes them spacious and comfortable. The shower is large and comfortable to enter and out of. There is even a small chair to leave the towels beside the shower. The mirrors are good, in particular, thank you for the magnificier mirror; the light is perfect for make-up or shaving. I asked for a kettle by email, which was in my room before my arrival. On the negative side is the shower. Although there is significant pressure, the base to allocate the shower head is not mobile; the water pressure moves the head towards the corner which makes it difficult to have a shower. The towels, especially the bath ones, maybe a little bit small for big people. My room was made up every day. Sometimes I do not ask to make up my room for the towels to be changed unnecessarily. I am happy that they did not change the towels, and I agree with that. There is no need to clean the towels every day. Overall, a lovely environmentally-friendly hotel, cosy and comfortable even if you travel alone.
