We had a lovely stay at little dolphin hotel. Mr Zhao was lovely and very friendly and helpful and there are great views from the roof. We had a room with a private hot tub on a terrace which was heaven to relax in at 40 degrees. Mr Zhao helped us plan where to visit and made a lovely noodle breakfast along with homemade pickles that were delicious. The bed was very comfortable. He is like a kind father, telling us to stay safe and showing us around. Only consideration is it's quite a long taxi ride from little dolphin to Dali ancient town on the other side of erhai lake but Didi is easy to use and inexpensive by British standards (about £8 for an hour's ride) ☺️

The professional guest room design is close to that of a luxury hotel, which is very practical; the room is very spacious, with a bar, washing area, sleeping area, hot spring pool, and waterscape area in a large space, which is reasonably arranged so that the family can enjoy themselves in different areas without affecting each other. The room is very wide and has a first-class view. The best thing is that it is right by the water, with a first-line sea view. The inn is in Haidong in the middle of Erhai Lake, and the room is full of smoke and waves. There are many scenic spots around for easy check-in. It is next to Haidong Town, and the Bai ethnic stalls are authentic and refreshing. The most amazing thing is the sunset, the Cangshan is like iron, the setting sun is like blood, the birds are flying alone, and the waves are surging in the golden sand. The food and service are very good. The parking lot is 20 to 30 meters from the lobby, and the slope is very steep. The lady worked tirelessly to carry the luggage. It is rare for a famous hotel to be so. It was a very good day, and I will go there again if I have the chance.

Beautifully designed hotel in a village not too far from the main road to Dali. Service kind and professional - arranged breakfast early on departure day. Staff also made a good effort to minimise disruption due to a large party. Highly recommended.

We stayed another day and watched the sunrise from the hotel's observation deck. The designer was incredibly thoughtful! The layout is beautifully staggered. You can see the sunrise in front, the mountains shrouded in mist behind, and villages on both sides. The dappled shadows of the trees, the cool breeze, and the chirping of birds and insects really cleared my mind. My parents also said the bedding was soft and comfortable. The high ceilings in the lobby really made me feel relaxed. I highly recommend the cakes and breakfast toast; they're better than some star-rated hotels. I hope they can maintain their quality control. It's not far from the S-curve, Dali Ancient Town, and Chongsheng Temple, and it's very quiet. Please, the hotel must maintain its quality control!

Hotel Yiyun is a wonderful hidden gem in Dali. The location is perfect — peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by beautiful landscaping that’s especially stunning in autumn with all the colors on display. The overall atmosphere is chill and relaxing, ideal for unwinding. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the highlight is definitely the private outdoor hot spring — it feels amazing to soak in warm water while enjoying the cool Dali air. Breakfast is decent, with enough variety to start your day right. But what truly makes this place special is Ms. Judy. She’s the heart of the hotel — genuinely kind, helpful, and humble. Her warm hospitality and attention to detail make you feel completely at home. Highly recommend Hotel Yiyun if you’re looking for a relaxing, beautiful, and welcoming stay in Dali!

Great for business trips! The location is convenient for eating and shopping in the ancient city, and you can also cook your own meals. It is very comfortable and warm to live in, just like at home.
