"After spending almost an afternoon in Panxi Village, we stayed in Shuanglang Ancient Town for one night and found this hotel on Ctrip. It was very comfortable. Although we booked a king-size bed room with a mountain view, we could see half of the sea from the balcony, and we could just see the romantic S-shaped road. When cars or electric cars passed by, it felt like something we saw on TV. The experience was very good٩(•̤̀ᵕ•̤́๑)ᵒᵏᵎᵎᵎᵎᵎ, and the lady at the front desk also gave us a very comfortable feeling!"

"Dali Staycation | A Day of Bliss by Erhai Lake No rushing, no plans – just a spontaneous trip with my husband, wanting to spend a quiet day in Shuanglang Ancient Town. Staying right in the ancient town, stepping out means walking on cobblestone alleys. The spicy and appetizing pounded chicken feet at the alley entrance were a treat. Just a few steps left from the alley, there's fresh squeezed orange juice, 15 yuan for two cups – sweet and refreshing. The hotel's afternoon tea was exquisite and Instagram-worthy, and the snacks outside were authentic and satisfying. My husband and I each had a cup of orange juice, sitting on the terrace, sipping and gazing at the sea – so relaxing we didn't want to move. Woken up by the morning sun, my husband and I had breakfast in the courtyard. In the distance, the Cangshan Mountains and Erhai Lake were faintly blue in the morning mist ☁️. Most of the day was spent 'immersed' in the public areas. The white walls and blue pool on the first-floor terrace were perfect for photos – with Cangshan as the backdrop and Erhai Lake as the scenery, a casual snap of my husband looked like wallpaper. The high-legged terrace of the archway in the lobby faced the sea directly. Afternoon tea was served, and leaning on the railing, gazing at the sea, we nestled together, and the ambiance was perfect. The 'Sky Mirror' on the top floor was an unexpected delight. On a clear day, white clouds reflected at our feet, as if we were suspended in the sky. In the afternoon, my husband and I idled in the courtyard, with only the sound of the wind and occasional waves – the Erhai wind is truly gentle. Evening brought the 'blue hour' – the entire sea turned into cobalt velvet. The sunset slowly descended into Cangshan, and a gentle sea breeze blew. Standing side by side with my husband on the terrace, the beauty was heart-stirring even without filters. When we checked out, the housekeeper presented us with a souvenir, their smile warm and thoughtful. 📷 Photo Spots Tested: · First-floor terrace: White walls + blue pool + mountain and sea backdrop. Wearing light-colored matching outfits with your husband looks best. · High-legged terrace of the lobby archway: Go during afternoon tea or the blue hour. Sitting opposite each other, people and scenery blend perfectly. 💡 Insider Tips: The public areas are open all day, and the housekeeper is on call. Authentic snacks are just a few steps away, and the hotel's afternoon tea is exquisite and abundant. Both my husband's stomach and heart were well taken care of. The blue hour at Erhai Lake will not disappoint you. Once you're here, you won't want to leave 🌊"

The staff at the Lan Restaurant, Kids' Club, and gym were all very nice. It seems to be peak season now, so hotel activities and the Japanese restaurant were a bit difficult to book. Friends planning to go should remember to book in advance! We're looking forward to the Chinese restaurant opening soon to provide more dining options."

"Five stars, hands down! My stay at Hilton Dali was made exceptional by the front desk service – they truly went above and beyond. As soon as we pulled up, the bellhop was right there to help with luggage and guide us to the front desk. Even though it was a busy check-in day, everything was handled efficiently without any long waits. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and genuine, not just robotic politeness. They spoke softly and patiently, and we were checked in very quickly. They thoroughly explained breakfast times and pool hours, and even shared tips on the best spots to catch the sunset, transportation to the ancient city, and local authentic eateries. I asked a ton of detailed questions, and they never showed any signs of impatience. Later, whether I needed help with transportation, luggage storage, or anything else, the front desk responded promptly and handled everything perfectly. Check-out was just as smooth; they even reminded us about the shuttle schedule and kindly helped load our luggage into the car. The hotel boasts stunning views of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake, the rooms are comfortable, and the local breakfast options are fantastic. The sincere and detailed service from the front desk team truly elevated our entire vacation experience, making it feel utterly relaxed and carefree. I’ll definitely choose this hotel again when I return to Dali!"

"I booked a 'Selected Room' and got upgraded to an 'Executive King Room' at check-in, which was on a higher floor and offered a magnificent view of Erhai Lake. Both the room and bathroom were quite spacious, and the facilities were well-maintained. I particularly liked that the TV had screen mirroring capabilities. There are also plenty of dining options near the hotel. Sissi, the butler, provided good service. It was a very pleasant stay overall."

"This is a decent hotel. The only problem is that its English name is unknown to locals, The pool is shallow and suitable for children only. Washing machines and dryers are available. The taxi fair to the airport, the ancient town, and to the cableway to Ximatan cost $45 CAD if booked online. An amazing trip to Ximatan, which is the highest point available (3966 meters) can be done within 4-5 hours from the hotel and back. The staff don’t speak English but are very helpful using a translator. Similarly, 5-6 hours would be sufficient for a nice evening in the ancient town."
