Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at Sultanahmet

Sultan Ahmed Mosque Istanbul|0.8km from Library of the Ahmed III
The room is not big, but the location is super good. The hotel's garden is also very nice, and it's quite nice to take photos. Just 2 minutes after going out, turn right and you will see the Blue Mosque and Sophia Cathedral. There are two Egyptian monuments and a snake-headed staff on the square. The starting point of the sightseeing tour bus is right on the square. It is very convenient to get there. To exit the square, go left. Going out is Victory Street, which is very lively and has trams running through it, which is also very unique. Go down (right) on Victory Street and you will go to the Old Palace. If you look at the mosque on the left and Sophia Cathedral on the right, the Basilica Cistern is on the right side of the square. The entrance to the Basilica Cistern is where people are queuing across the road. We stayed for 5 nights and walked around every day. It was very atmospheric. In Muslim countries, prayers are held five times a day. When the loudspeaker sounds, it is most disturbing in the early morning. However, they seem to be very conscious, and the volume is slightly lower in the morning and the duration is shorter. The rest of the time, just enjoy listening to music when praying. Every time, there is a live broadcast of prayers in every mosque, playing a long tune as if singing, which is very exotic. Basically, you have to negotiate the price of a taxi, and Grab also negotiates the price. They all charge extortionate prices, so you must negotiate before getting in the car.

Wow, I have no other words to say. This place is incredible! My wife and I chose to take a more unconventional honeymoon to Istanbul and after staying here I know we made the right choice. I’d like to specially call two staff members who made our stay even more special, Yigit Sengelen and Isil pinar. This hotel, is just down the street from the Spice market, several mosques, and only 20 minutes from the Hagia Sophia. The hotel itself is beautiful, ornate and the rooms are spacious comfortable and newly updated. If that isn’t enough allow me to give you a walkthrough of our stay. We planned to stay in Istanbul for 6 nights. Upon our arrival Isil personally greeted us, asked us how our trip was and gave us a walkthrough of the hotel along with her colleague. Who by the way was incredibly helpful! Walking us to our room and ensuring we had everything we needed. She also encouraged us to take the “Discovery Tour” which I highly recommend by the way, and this is when we met the hotel Concierge Yigit. He walked us around the hotel and showed us some of the local highlights. Then he asked us about our planned excursions, tours etc. We told him we booked a few things but he just said if you need any help let us know. A day or so later we took him up on it. We had mentioned that we booked a Bosporus river cruise, but he offered an alternate for the same price but was on a private yacht. It looked much nicer and we were not disappointed. Won’t go into too many details but it was beautiful, the boat was great and it really was in a yacht which was a new experience for me. After another day we mentioned we wanted to go to another region of Turkey and within an hour Yigit had given us 3 options for scheduled tours including, flights and transportation Truly incredible, can’t say enough good things!

AHG Atlas Hotel Taksim

Taksim Istanbul|2.96km from Library of the Ahmed III
I have booked at Pera orient hotel because it offers what I want from an hotel during my travels and the feedbacks were in its favor. Just after my booking was done I stumble on a negative review that was posted on trip advisor. I was worried about my choice. But when I went to Istanbul and stayed there, I felt compelled to share my own experience, which was entirely different and absolutely fantastic! I believe it's essential to give credit where credit is due. First of all , if you are seeking a resort , Pera Orient is not a resort and it never claims to be one! My stay at Pera Orient was comfortable and pleasant. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the friendly and attentive staff, who made their best to help me in every possible way and to answer my queries during my 5-day long stay. Their warm smiles and genuine willingness to assist truly set the tone for my stay. The location of the hotel is ideal. A 6 min walk from the hotel takes you to Taksim square where you can take the Metro or bus to reach your desired destination. And it allowed me to make regular daily walks on istikal street . The street is a little narrow yes, but there are plenty of hotels all around that I have never felt scared or unsafe ( as it was mentioned in the negative review). And I always took the upward direction then turn right towards taksim. I was greeted by a spotless clean room with a tasteful decor. The bed was incredibly comfortable, The housekeeping staff was attentive and meticulous, making sure that my room was impeccably cleaned each day. Coffee and tea were left daily next to the kettle (sometimes with a bottle of water). When I will visit Istanbul again , I will definitely chose Pera Orient to stay in.

We travel quite a bit as a family ( 2 children ages 7 and 12 ) but don’t always review. This hotel deserves every accolade we could provide. We had a family connecting room which was great and a perfect amount of space for all. Having two bathrooms was a real plus! Beds were comfortable and the room servicing was impeccable. The people go above and beyond, are incredibly kind and hospitable. The hotel is very well kept, clean, and has such a special charm. It is perfectly located to everything in the Old Town and has a beautiful terrace to sit on and enjoy the view of the Bosphorus. We would sit out at night and watch the sun set with a glass of wine and Fanta for the kids. The breakfast is wonderful and excellent quality. Have it included in your stay if you can. It is worth it. We search for great food and this exceeded our expectation. It is so fresh and changes daily. The staff is attentive and so helpful. The shop directly beside, Tencer Gift Shop is so wonderful. The owner is so kind and generous. We recommend getting something from him over the Grand Bazaar. Overall we had an incredible experience at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone! Thank you Sirkeci Mansion from the Canadian Family.

We had a reservation for 4 rooms - 2 quadruple, 1 for 5 people and 1 single. For 4 nights. First - we decided 2 of the rooms to extend our vacation and go 1 day in advance and made an additional reservation through Booking. She was canceled from the hotel on the day of arrival with the excuse that they could not check the credit card / and the reservation for the remaining 4 nights in all rooms was guaranteed with the same card and ”managed” to withdraw money after that /. We arrived all 4 rooms in the evening for accommodation and it turned out that they do not have any rooms, nothing that our reservation was made 2 months ago, and also nothing that Booking still had rooms available, but at much higher prices. We would be accommodated in another hotel for 2 nights and then move back. Anyway, we agreed. We go to the other hotel, there they give us 4 rooms, only 3 double and 1 quadruple. There is no place to accommodate us all, there is no place to fall in the double needles, let alone put a bed. They were going to find us another room, but we had to pay for it. Do we have a choice?!? They send us to a third hotel, there the room is supposedly for 5 people, it is double again. Finally, we find a room in the fourth hotel, which can fit in somehow, crumpled and at 01.00 at night we successfully check in. After 2 days we moved together to the hotel where we had to be from the beginning. The rooms are not what we paid for at all, but at least we are not on the street! Conditions are miserable! Dirty, hair in the bathroom and the room, everything is falling apart, no blankets, they were washed, we have to wait until the evening for towels that they were not washed, the disgusting and disgusting breakfast ... The man from the single room moved him once more for last night. And all the time the behavior of the owner and staff was arrogant and impudent, without a gram of regret for what was happening !!! By no means do I recommend the hotel, even without money to offer it to you! Complete miserable !!!

It's okay because it's close to the tourist spots. I stayed in a small room, but I could put a suitcase and I couldn't see the beetle. However, if the carrier is heavy, it will be a little uncomfortable when climbing the stairs. It's a good value for money hotel considering the price. Soundproofing is not good.

We stayed at Romantic Mansion Apartment on two occasions during Oct.2019. The apartment is good and clean. The breakfast slight above average. There is room for improvement though. The location is excellent. BUT.... The biggest plus factor was the meeting of Mr.Selim the Manager of the Hotel. This gentleman went out of his way to ensure our pleasant enjoyable memorable holiday of Turkey. He fought valiantly with Tour Operators for prices on Hot Air Balloons in Cappadocia; Taxi operators to Airport to and fro; shopkeepers;organizing Tramp cards; and sorting local arrangements daily. Holiday was fun with his local assistance all the way. His personality was exceptional. Thank you Mr.Selim In appreciation which should not go unnoticed.

On arrival, we were treated with a hot cup of tea. The reception staff sat with us for good 15 minutes with a map of Istanbul and explained the places to visit, how to get there and best times to go there. They arranged Bosphorus cruise for us and taxi rides whenever required. The staff were very approachable and friendly. Location is excellent, walkable to Blue mosque area, eateries, public transport and the views from our room were awesome- water views, bridge, Galata tower etc etc. Breakfast was excellent with a huge variety of continental and Turkish food. I highly recommend this hotel.

We were very welcomed by our guest who was super sympathetic throughout our stay. We could choose our room. All is very clean and clean every day. The hotel is very well located near the shops, restaurants, metro station, monuments etc... but it is located in a street that is not noisy so noise at night! The room is equipped with air conditioning. If we go back to Istanbul, it will be in this hotel!
