Railay Beach Krabi|2.23km from Pai Plong Beach
This is just a lovely place. From the rooms, the beaches, the service, the food, the landscaping: just about everything is perfect. The two of us stayed in Deluxe Pavilion 309; this had a nice view of the greenery around us from the 2nd floor large window. We preferred not to sit in the patio area on the 1st floor because of a lack of privacy. The two main beaches (Phranang and Railay) are both lovely, we preferred swimming in Phranang and walked on both of them, Phranang was about a 10 minute walk for us and Railay about a 5 minute walk. The walks through the property are just lovely, they have done a fantastic job of landscaping with all kind of tropical plants, but we also took advantage of the golf cart rides when it was raining. The breakfast (which is included) is served till 11 am and has a lot of nice a la carte and buffet style options. We didn't go the Grotto (did not look so special to us and seemed overpriced), but ate at the other two hotel restaurants: Krua Phranang and Raitalay Terrace; both were excellent (and had lovely views of the beach) and we also enjoyed the cocktails at the 4-6 pm happy hour at Raitalay Terrace. The swimming pool is lovely and also has a great veiw of Railay beach. The service at Rayavadee was just exceptional; we want to give a shout out to Joy, who was our server during breakfast, she was just fantastic. We were here during the off-season, the prices are a little lower, and while it did rain a fair amount when were here, we still got to the beach a couple of times a day. All in all, a fantastic stay, we will be back.

First of all, this hotel must enter the long tail boat on the beaches such as Riley or Ao Nang, which means that you have to take a boat when you go out to play, about 100 baht at a time, but if there is no public long tail boat at 6 pm, It may be more than 1000 baht for a private boat. People who want to have fun at night are not recommended to live in this hotel. Because there is nothing in this hotel, there is no one. . (There is a long restaurant outside the hotel and there is no business in the morning at noon, no one knows what to do at night.) Well, let me know what I found. I originally hated Ctrip’s introduction of this hotel. I didn’t even say that I had to go in by boat. There was no hotel pick-up, but I felt the value of this hotel from the moment I logged in. I didn’t see a Chinese. There are Japanese people, and the rest are foreigners. Foreigners are going to play, rock climbing, and kayaking. They have a unique advantage in the natural environment of the hotel. The environment is beautiful and nothing to say. I saw a lizard about 40 cm long climbing on the beach. The monkeys shuttled freely in the top of the mountain. This is the feeling of being wrapped in nature, quiet, slow and quiet! The hotel itself has a restaurant, green curry beef soup, seafood noodles, pineapple rice, Thai hot and sour fish, milk bananas, the amount is much cheaper and delicious! After all, the beverages bought in the supermarket are the monopoly of the mountain, which is twice as expensive as the outside. It is almost impossible to buy anyway, and then the shop opposite the hotel restaurant, seeing the boss is very beautiful. Then accommodation, air conditioning is very big, but did not find a hair dryer, I do not care for men, did not ask the front desk this question. There are a lot of mosquitoes, but this is too normal, and the room can be solved with mosquito nets. Go climbing, go to the beach and walk for three minutes. Because we are a hotel here, basically no one, but the beach here is not very deep, so basically can not go down after the tide, and bring a lot of stones, so the sand is not very comfortable. The sea is calm, so kayaking is very suitable, and the kayaking is very cheap, only 300 baht in 4 hours, 500 baht in 6 hours! You can go to a few small bays alongside a kayaking boat. In short, because of the natural scenery, I have eliminated the fault of Ctrip without explaining the way to enter and exit the hotel in advance, very satisfied with this stay! Important things to say, people who like to live, really don't come here, there is no activity at night, there is a bar next to the hotel, anyway, I don't like clubbing English is not good, I am not a foreigner. And that's all. .

Latest booking 20 hrs ago

We had previously booked this hotel for a 2020 visit before Covid ruined those plans, so we were looking forward to our eagerly awaited holiday in Thailand. We had decided to travel during the Songkran (Thai new year) festivities, which were unbelievable. So much fun! Our 13 year old daughter (can I say daughter nowadays!!!) had the best time of her life shooting water everywhere. The Thai people, always smiling, are simply amazing. Now, ok, this is a hotel review. We had booked a pool access room by the fantasy pool (the one with the slides). Simply, unless you like people clambering over YOUR small terrace, taking photos while stood on YOUR terrace, jumping in the pool from YOUR terrace, trying to get to their room next door across YOUR terrace, don’t waste your money. It was disgusting, utterly intrusive and bloody ignorant. There are no barriers (and there should be) between the rooms/terraces to prevent this. A joke! We had two sun loungers on the terrace (which people climbed over too) but they were in the shade all the time. Rooms 127 to 131 get no sun at this time of year, so again if you’re a sun worshipper don’t waste your money. The wifi is abysmal. It says somewhere in the room, don’t wait to get home to complain about something, ask the staff! We complained about the wifi almost every day until we gave up. They advertise (incorrectly) that there’s wifi available in all areas. A total lie! The only place you were guaranteed wifi was in the reception area. Or the Green Pepper restaurant across the road!!! I had to pay for 5G everyday to do some work for my business back home!!! And then I get charged for having my room an extra hour on checkout! So much for customer service. A recent reviewer said the breakfast was amazing. No, adequate is the word you’re looking for. It didn’t matter what time you visited, it was packed out, nowhere to sit, no cutlery, no plates, no cups, no food. Everyday we had to ask staff for this, that and the other to be replenished. There was just not enough staff. Apart from 5 behind reception!! On a plus, the room itself was fairly nice with a comfy bed. It could do with more drawer space and more hangers in the wardrobe. Oh and the plug didn’t work in the bathroom sink. On a plus plus, the bar staff at the fantasy pool bar were awesome. A special massive thank you to Soe who was brilliant. One final note, please Ananta Burin Manager/owner, please don’t reply to this review patronising me. This review is a true and honest review. There needs to be changes at this hotel before we ever return. Sorry Soe.

This hotel has nice rooms and an amazingly friendly staff and has the perfect location in Ao Nang. All this for a reasonable price, which is not often the case anymore in Ao Nang. They have their own agency for booking tours and transport to other parts of Thailand which makes sure that everything is well coordinated between the hotel and the transport companies. All in all a place I will certainly come back to when I’m in Ao Nang again.

The Scene Cliff View Villas

Overall a really excellent hotel. It was very quiet when we arrived (only a few other couples and families were occupying the other villas). The staff were excellent and really went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We had to move rooms because there was some excess noise from a pool pump room at the back of our villa but the staff were very understanding and accommodating (had it been busier then this probably wouldn't have been possible). The breakfast was fantastic and the free shuttle bus to the beach was a great addition. The location is perfect - you can walk to the beach in about twenty mins or so and there's plenty to see and do along the way. The only disappointment was the gym facilities and the fact that there was no bar but other than that it was a great hotel.

Me and my husband stopped here for a week fantastic place, huge pool with amazing views, large rooms cleaned and clean towels every day, shampoo shower gel and conditioner in the bathrooms. Bottled water and tea and coffee supplied daily, breakfast great and a brilliant selection. Pool towels supplied daily, the staff very polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and we would definitely stay again

Staying at Ao Nang Orchid Resort is very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay specially, it is located in the town which is the popular tourist destination. The hotel is really affordable, clean, and the staffs are friendly. We love the pool area and the breakfast that they served us during our stay. We will definitely come back to Krabi and book this hotel again on our next escapades.
Vipa Tropical Resort

This is one of the most beautiful places I have stayed. If you want to be surrounded by mountains and greenery while being a short walk away from the hustle and bustle, this is perfect. The staff are super friendly and will help you with anything . The resort is about a 20 minute walk from the beach but a 5 minute walk to bars, shops and street food. The room was lovely and spacious with good privacy. If you’re looking to stay in the area, I recommend looking here.
