李李First of all, the hotel is historical, suitable for taking pictures, and the pool is good. Now talking about the disadvantages, the power supply in the room is very unreasonable, you need to use a large plug-in board (provided by the hotel), the bedding is too old, the bed is a bit collapsed, and it will ring when it turns over! And the most unbearable are crows and mosquitoes! Too many mosquitoes. I was awakened in the middle of the night and asked for mosquito coils at the front desk. Eating breakfast is more scary. Sitting in the house is too dim. Sitting outside and biting mosquitoes to coax the crow! Hurry up for breakfast and each person was bitten by five or six bales! Still sprayed with insect repellent! The crow fell on the back of his chair twice! Experience the worst breakfast ever! The hotel restaurant and lounge are very beautiful, it is recommended to have a drink and take a picture, not recommended if staying

GGuest UserThis property is gorgeous with the old world charm and the food and cocktails are amazing too . But above all, they ace in hospitality. The staff , right from GM to everyone else are so warm, courteous and helpful and they go out of their way to make you feel at home and comfortable.I had a ligament tear in my ankle while in Srilanka and be it GM Mr. Siddique , Mr. Emmanuel, the bell boy Mr. Sujith, and the rest of the staff , they were all so supportive and caring that I was totally moved by the way they took care of me. Strongly recommend this place with its beautiful people to all and I will surely be staying here again when I visit Srilanka

GGuest UserGranbell colombo is the most beautiful city hotel in colombo , It offer really japanese hospitality experience , foods are really tasty , Hotel has most beautiful infinity pool at roof top. That experience is very attractive . Roof top bar is little bit crowded in weekend . But bar staff provide quick service. Also Room has consist with modern features . And Room has bath tab . It is really nice. Overall experience is really worth for money.staff was very friendly. Mihiranga from reception he helps us very friendly during our stay and restaurant staff Niroshan , kasun is very helpfull . We will definitely come back again . Thanks Granbell ❤

MMD AZNIFood is good in this hotel. Breakfast everyday has variety. Their dosa/tosai is one of their best breakfast menu. Dinner buffer also good. For muslim traveller, this is the best hotel where you could rest assure with halal food in Colombo.

GGuest UserWe stayed at this hotel for our first two nights in Sri Lanka. Check in was a breeze and the staff was very helpful and gave us great service. Room service was devine and we were hooked on the locally made kottu . Dinner and breakfast the next day was also very good with a variety of foods to choose.

I’ve stayed here for a one night stay due to a business activity in colombo, facilities were alright for the price, room was 217 and staff seemed tired but average communication with customers. If anyone is looking for a place around colombo for official or personal activates this is an alright place so the commute is effective and efficient. As per the average business personal and for a small family you have everything what you look for in accommodation vise, clean comfortable place, everything functioned accordingly in my room, there was an odor in the wash room but you can look pass that from my perspective to my room. There are lot of food outlets nearby day and night. Hope this was helpful. Thank you to all at “Wonder Hotel” staff for providing me a lovely stay. Best wishes. Amila

GGuest UserWhere can I begin to start about this hotel? From the minute we walked through the door you would think you were in a 5* hotel with the level of service you receive. The room was modern and beds extremely comfortable. There were a few bits of damage but nothing we couldn't see past. The only gripe I had with the room is that because the Make up room/ Do not disturb LED light is beside the bed this lights up blue on a night and can be bothersome. A fantastic mention for our housekeeper Gihan keeping us well stocked in towels and everything tidy. The pool is well maintained and pool towels are of a very good quality. We looked in the gym and contrary to a previous review the air con works. Bar service and the range of drinks are excellent, as is the Cafe on the ground floor which has excellent cakes and is very reasonably priced. Infact we couldn't believe it. SStephanie DThe Villa in Lavinia is in a beautiful old building. From the road doesn't look so great but inside is very nice. The owner Tyrone made us feel very welcome and all the staff were kind and friendly. The hotel is convenient for getting into Colombo. Many nearby buses go there. Also a nearby supermarket and several good restaurants. The part of the beach near to the hotel is not so nice but is better if you walk further down towards the big and famous Hotel Mount Lavinia. We stayed 5 nights but the hotel and the area is probably better suited to shorter stays. Room simple but adequate. Very good internet connexion. All in all, a pleasant stay.

GGuest UserDined here yesterday at their restaurant, opted for Chinese - fried rice, deviled pork, Thai pork, batter fish and hot mushrooms. The food was great , service, very attentive - the staff made us feel special. Definitely value for money. Highly recommended!
