The staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay. The breakfast offered a great variety of options, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. From fresh fruits to hot dishes, everything was delicious and well-prepared. The overall ambiance of the hotel was pleasant, and the amenities were top-notch. I highly recommend this hotel for both business and leisure travelers. It’s a great value for the money, and I would definitely stay here again!

CCJ12A beautiful building in a very pleasant area of Colombo; the architecture and interior design of the hotel are a joy to behold and the vast majority of staff are polite and courteous. Plenty of amenities nearby to suit all tastes and interests. The breakfasts were great both mornings (both the Sri Lankan breakfast and the Western style), and they really lived up to the high expectations we’d had from the Instagram marketing we’d seen. We were upgraded to the North West Suite, which was a larger room, for which we were greatly appreciative; a couple of issues with working plugs and appliances (coffee machine and hair dryer) were reported and rectified, although the wiring/plugs more broadly were temperamental and poorly placed (as expected, possibly, with the charm of an older hotel). However, the bed was comfortable, the hotel was quiet, and the bathroom was well appointed. Our only qualm was with the overzealous Head of Housekeeping, who seemed to not grasp the subtlety required for such a role, or the privacy with which guests might like to enjoy the beautiful hotel. It appeared that he lingered all too often in search of a tip, and didn’t quite appreciate the boundaries one might desire when paying a reasonable fee for each night. My wife and I took to speedily locking the door and placing the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the handle to keep his incessant interrupting to a minimum. His deputy was, however, an asset to the hotel, who seemed to comprehend the subtle art of providing high quality service for a luxury stay in a lovely hotel. All-in-all, a great choice for a hotel in the heart of Colombo, and hopefully, during a busier season, the aforementioned Head of Housekeeping might spread his overbearing attention across the many rooms of the hotel.

After asking where we could get a light breakfast,we finally found a coffee place in the basement after two days.We ordered room service as the only other option was a buffet at $16 per person. Having made Christmas dinner reservations,we didn't want to ordere a buffet breakfast.The buffet Christmas dinner was of good quality food well prepared . The problem was everything was cold and the people at the carving stations didn't know how to carve. At $90 for a couple it was a waste. Give the hotel a generous 3 stars..

GGuest UserI really enjoyed the hospitality. The Hotel was very welcoming and the staff were always so pleasant and courteous. The Hotel is also Muslim Friendly, which was a great plus point for us. Overall, I really enjoyed the stay and would visit once again for sure if possible.

CChris&MariaWe had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is okey, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. We appreciated being upgraded to a higher floor, which was a thoughtful gesture and made our stay feel a bit more special. The amenities are decent, and the buffet breakfast offers a wide variety of options, which we enjoyed. However, service could be improved — after finishing breakfast, we wanted to have a coffee from the machine, but were informed that it would be charged extra, even though breakfast was included in our booking. This felt a bit disappointing and could have been handled more thoughtfully. Overall, it’s a good place to stay with a convenient location and nice touches, but there’s room for improvement in terms of service consistency.

TThishen NaidooHotel is very clean with a beautiful lobby area. The rooftop pool and bar offers great views of the lotus tower and the sunset over the ocean. However the rooms have a bad odour probably due to humidity or lack of ventilation. The bed linen isn’t very clean with stains on the covers and sheets.

GGuest UserWE DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. Despite a very good start which involved a very helpful early check-in for our group of four travelers (two rooms) and lots of friendly smiles from the hotel reception team, unfortunately our stay took a bit of a negative turn owing to some confusion over two additional bookings we had made to extend our stay following a change in our plans. I really find it hard to understand why this simple process caused confusion to the duty manager. The following day, despite clearly explaining that we had made additional bookings to extend our stay, the desk staff were confused and claimed that one of the room bookings was not confirmed. The duty manager was dismissive to us and actually ignored us, (even though he had perfectly good English to communicate with us), preferring to speak through another member of the reception team who was standing right next to him. After a wait of at least 15 minutes, I told him that we were not prepared to wait any longer and that he could let us know once the issue had been resolved. This was clearly an administrative problem between the hotel and Trip.com which soured our stay. The duty manager was unprofessional and discourteous towards his guests. Our experience left us unwilling to use any of the hotel facilities other than the breakfast buffet. The breakfast buffet was very good and the staff team exceptional in their service and friendliness. We did use the lounge bar on one occasion and again, found the staff to be friendly and helpful - special mention to Jerushan, with whom we enjoyed a great conversation. He is a credit to the staff team. Perhaps given his people skills, he should be made a manager?! Other than the reception area, the hotel is very tired and in desperate need of an upgrade. In our room, a light switch cover fell off, some bulbs were not working and the room was dirty - a build up of dust in the corners and on the wardrobe louvres which quite obviously suggested the rooms were only being given a superficial clean. As said, we do not recommend this hotel and we will not stay here again. We expect far from a Ramada branded establishment.

BBeeshman BahiradanHotel Nippon Colombo offers a decent stay with a few hits and misses. The rooms were okay — fairly clean, but could use some updating in terms of decor and maintenance. Service was polite but a bit slow at times, and certain amenities felt a little dated. That said, the food was absolutely fantastic. The restaurant really impressed us with flavorful Sri Lankan dishes and a variety of options that felt authentic and well-prepared. Whether it was breakfast or dinner, the meals consistently stood out and were the highlight of the stay.
