Colombo Hotels with balcony

Location is great, just beside One Galle Face Mall. Plenty of restaurants and cafes around. Beautiful sunset views (from the bar, pool, restaurant, lobby) and Galle Face opposite the road. Rooms are gorgeous and spacious. Checked in Dec 30-Jan 2 peak season. Hotel was fully booked. Waited in the lobby for my room to be ready upon check-in. Front desk said they will find me to let me know. Waited for more than an hour before I asked them again and told me that my room has been ready. Ordered some room service which took more than an hour to be delivered. Granted they told me that it may take about 50 minutes because it was peak hours. Upon delivery they told me it was comped because of the long wait. Pool, restaurant, and bar staff are all great. Very personable and accommodating. Loved the sky pool on the 31st floor. No bar but not as crowded as the main pool. Breakfast was great. A lot of choices. Asian selection is great. Pastries not so much, some didn’t seem fresh. Heard from some staff that it gets super busy from around 9 but didn’t experience any long wait. Plenty of tables to accommodate people. Overall a great experience and will definitely stay here again if I’m in Colombo.

Super convenient downtown location, close to everything! It's also not far from the beach, where you can watch the mini train. The room was really clean, and for the price in a city center, it's a great deal. I arrived exhausted at 1 AM after my flight, rushed a taxi to the hotel, and the owner was actually waiting for me! Seeing me, a woman with lots of luggage, he immediately helped me and offered me a cold bottle of water. I was so touched! He took me to my room and set up the Wi-Fi for me. It might be a tourist city, so perhaps they encourage bringing your own slippers for environmental reasons. (Definitely take some beautiful photos of this city, and experience the Ghibli movie vibe by riding the mini train!)

The young man at the front desk had a great attitude; he was very patient, answered all my questions, and helped me solve a problem – much appreciated! The room was spotless. The hotel's location is excellent, very convenient for visiting all the attractions.

Huge apartment, 2 bed rooms with full amnities. Breakfast has a lot of selection but taste is bot quite good. Only bekery section doing well. Friendly staff, good location, nice view.

The place is good for the price. The location is very close to the beach and restaurants, has a nice garden and pool, with lots of common areas to hang out in. The bed was comfortable and room decent with a nice balcony. They seem to only focus on cleaning the basics. I wish they’d clean a little bit deeper, and fix a couple of things because the place could be quite nice. There are some bugs - to be expected in a tropical, budget place but not too bad. Mainly there was lots of ants in the bathroom, and the walls aren’t properly sealed so it’s easy for the ants to get in. If they just did some very basic repairs, renovation and deep cleaning the place would be great. I’d still say it was good value for the location and I would stay there again if passing through Colombo.

I recently stayed at Anarva Hotel and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff went out of their way to ensure I felt welcome and comfortable. I also have to mention the dining experience—delicious food with a great variety of local and international options. Every meal was a treat! Overall, Anarva Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay. I will definitely be returning on my next visit!

I had a truly wonderful experience at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded my expectations. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean – it felt like stepping into a brand-new space. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax and unwind after a long day. What really stood out was the service. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist with a smile. Even after I checked out at 12:00 PM, they kindly allowed me to leave my luggage at the hotel until my airport transfer – a thoughtful gesture that made my travel day so much easier. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, cozy stay with top-notch hospitality. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Hotel Nippon Colombo offers a decent stay with a few hits and misses. The rooms were okay — fairly clean, but could use some updating in terms of decor and maintenance. Service was polite but a bit slow at times, and certain amenities felt a little dated. That said, the food was absolutely fantastic. The restaurant really impressed us with flavorful Sri Lankan dishes and a variety of options that felt authentic and well-prepared. Whether it was breakfast or dinner, the meals consistently stood out and were the highlight of the stay.

It is very convenient to be next to La** Beach. The room is a bit old. The staff said it was opened around 2000. It is a bit old, but the service attitude is super good. I also like the breakfast. It is very cost-effective. I think I will choose here next time I come to Colombo
