This is a very basic motel, but it was clean and quiet. Very convenient location, near The Brand, as well as many restaurants. Foxy’s, next door, was a real Classic. Opened in 1964, so they must be doing something right...great comfort Food.

Vagabond Inn Glendale

I am a frequent guest at Vagabond Inn, Glendale even before it was renovated (around 6 years already). I truly love the service, location, rooms and the people. This is truly a home away from home. The rooms are always clean and they do cleaning everyday (if you wish), the staff is warm especially Rozi the manager who ensures that your stay is going well and the location is truly unbeatable. There is no other option for me in Glendale.

We chose this hotel for proximity to the person we were visiting and it was perfect as it was literally steps away. We were able to bring our dog which was a bonus. Our room was a good size but smelled like stale cooked food . It could have used an ozone cleaner. The rooms really just need a freshening up. I would also prefer to just have the dishes etc. in the room. Honestly, I think they should just do away with the ”free breakfast. It is kind of a sad looking area with a meager selection. Parking was very convenient vs other hotels we have stayed at. When I got home I was sent a survey that I filled out and never expected to hear about again. I tried to be fair but honest. I very quickly got an email from General Manager Peter who indicated he appreciated my feedback and was sorry to hear of the issues. He gave us compensation that I had not even asked for which is customer service that is unheard of these days. When we visit here again we will look forward to things smelling cleaner and perhaps updated since he indicated my comments mattered to them.
Hampton Inn & Suites Los Angeles - Glendale

The location was perfect for our trip as my daughter needed to be at the State Board of Cosmetology very early the next morning. The hotel lobby clerk was extremely friendly and welcoming. Our room was facing the main street and even up on the 5th floor the noise of the traffic was still quite loud. The view from the room was nice. Parking was tacked on for $16.95 additional charge. The beds were hard although the pillows were lovely. There were 3 of us staying in the room for which all were listed on my reservation however, we were only left with 2 towels total. The water from the shower was just warm enough to not be considered torture. They did offer pre packaged breakfast that consisted of a tiny bagel (unable to toast or heat up due to covid) and cream cheese, a package of nuts and package of shortbread cookies. Overall, I feel I paid way too much for this room for what we received.
